Thank you for your help, both of you! I've decided to go ahead and join BabyFit later today, but I think I'll still come back here to post. Actually I have been seeing a dietitian for the past 6mths. because I'm pre-diabetic. As for exercise, currently I deliver newspapers three days a week, takes about an hour to walk it, and I plan to keep doing that as long as possible. My blood pressure is also a little higher than it should be, not officially high blood pressure, but it's not quite in a happy place either. Because of these health issues I'm aware that there could be complications so I'm going to listen to my dr. and do what ever I can to lower the risks. I'll definately be checking out Dr. James Clapp, thanks Robin!

Mel,
Congrats! I'd also recommend that you ask your midwife or doctor's office to set you up an appointment with a nutritionist. Most insurances will cover it because you're overweight and pregnant. They want to reduce their costs and this is one way to do it.
It is also important to note that you can still exercise in pregnancy. I actually did write a book about pregnancy fitness, my degree is in reporductive health. You can also check out the studies done by Dr. James Clapp for more on pregnancy fitness.
Congrats again!
Robin

Yes, you can use your same name and passcode as here on SP. I can only tell you what I did after I had lost 20 LBs here on SP then got pregnant. I went over to the babyfit.com site and found out how much I should be eating. Then I came back to SP and set my goals to maintain mode (same start and end weight) and very little exercise. And my high range was close to the low end at Babyfit. So I tried to stay close to that (2000 calories) I just liked to track here instead of over there. They do have some great articles and help when you need it. Personally I would start there soon so you can get an idea. I just had met so many great people here I didn't want to leave. I know I only saw the Nurse at the first appointment and you can ask them what they recommend. I didn't see the DR. till about 12 week appointment. They usually go by the stick test now anyway.

A couple days ago I found out that I'm pregnant (at least according to the pee-on-a-stick test). I'm seeing my dr. next week for a check up so I'll confirm it then. I was wondering though, I know there's a site for preggo moms (babyfit.com), should I go ahead over to that one, or wait until I'm 100%? And do I stop coming here? I love SP and I know I shouldn't lose weight while pregnant, but being very overweight I want to be even more careful to eat well and get exercise.
