Hi. I was just thinking about everyone & wanted to stop in and say hi. I have 2 weeks left in this semester & then will have a month of "life". We are doing ok. Rick has had pneumonia...still not recovered. Cool thing, I listened to his lungs & diagnosed him before he would go to the doctor! Pretty cool validation that I am learning something! I am really enjoying my clinical experience. I have had such wonderful people and have felt so powerful and vunerable at the same time. When a person puts so much trust & confidence in you, it is a humbling experience. Especially when you are just in the very beginning phase of learning! I have learned so much about myself. Here I am being so philosophical! LOL
I have my final on the 11th. We have a court hearing on the 12th. I'll be back on the 13th to let you know what's up.
I do think about you all often. I just have NO time. Take care & talk to you in a couple weeks.

Hi everyone,
First,Kathy, I forgot to tell you in my previous post that I hope you get your septic issues resolved. That is the worst. One of my neighbor's water pipes broke in their yard last week and it created a big mess.
We have had more drama in our lives. Drake went to a birthday party this past Saturday, the 18th and the father of the bday boy(age 7) brought out a .22 for the boys to shoot. NONE of the parents knew of this until we picked the kids up. There were boys there aged 4-8. Every Mom we have talked with about this so far had no clue there would be a gun at the party and all are appalled they were not told of this beforehand. My dh called the bday boy's dh last night and basically said our kids are not going to their house again. We simply can't trust them. Who knows what else they may introduce to our kids, assuming we would be ok with it, when in reality we are not. It's a really sad situation since they are the leaders of our homeschool group. It's going to be awkward b/c their son and daughter love playing with our kids and they are in an art class together every Wed. Emotionally, I'm wrung out from this. I am so so grateful no one was hurt and also livid at the parents for not telling ANY of the parents their intentions. And I'm also sad b/c the Mom and I were becoming good friends. Time will tell how this will all play out and how it will affect the group.
On a more positive note, we did do our Meals on Wheels service project this morning and what a true blessing. The kids loved delivering the meals so, since we are taking this week off of school, we are going to do it again tomorrow morning. One of the meals we delivered was to an elderly couple that lives right around the corner to us. Since we know where they live and they are so close, the kids and I were thinking we could do something special for them every once in a while, even if it is anonymous. The kids and I have all these "warm fuzzies" from doing this. Like I said before, what a blessing.
Enough about me. I wanted to jump on here and wish all of you a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

Good Morning!
I just got home from talking to someone about refinancing. This stuff wears me out. It is so stressful. We got an arm loan a few years ago when rates were so low and now it has gone up more than we had expected. I feel like the lady either totally mislead us or flat out lied to us. Anyway, I am frustrated w/ what we have and am trying to figure out what to do. I just want to go to bed.lol
I have to pick up Daniel in 45 min. and Lance is napping and then my sil's mom is bringing my sil's baby over for me to watch for a couple hours. I need to clean my house for a jewelry party I am having Friday night. I have been so busy that cleaning hasn't been at the top of my list, so I have a lot to do and am running out of time to do it. I am not going to stress about it. What I get done is what I get done. Who knows how many people will actually show up anyway. You know how these things go. I am trying to help my sil get her business going. Then next weekend I am having a Longaberger bunco. I wasn't planning on doing them 2 weeks in a row, but that is just how things worked out w/ my sil just getting started and needed people to have shows for her and I had already booked a longaberger bunco.
So, I will be so ready for this week to be over. I am putting my embroidery in a holiday bazaar thing this Sunday. Maybe SAturday and Sunday, I haven't decided yet. First, I need to get caught up on some embroidery orders I just got last weekend. Plus, I started cleaning another house yesterday and have to clean my mil's tomorrow. Just too much going on right now.
Debbie~Hope the kids don't get the ick. I don't think I knew you got a dog. So, when are we going to have lunch??lol
I need to do something around here before I go get Daniel. I hate getting started and then having to stop. I might just rest and then start cleaning after I get home w/ him.

Hi everyone, Well I didn’t expect it to be this long between posts. It seems like one thing after another has been happening.
One of my homeschool friends, Angela, had surgery this past Thursday to remove a fibroid the size of a grapefruit. We are all waiting for the lab results, praying it is noncancerous. I watched her 3 kids the day she was in surgery and they ended up staying until late the next morning. So I had ages 9,7,6,5,4, and 2 in my house. Kathy, I don’t know how you do it with so many kids! Thankfully, her kids are very well behaved, but I realized that they were all sick. So far, I’m the only one who has caught this cold/flu that they had.
The last couple of weeks has been a week of falls for my kids. The dog pulled on his leash while Ashlyn was getting ready to take him for a walk and he caused her to fall down a few steps on the porch. He has caused the other two to fall in the same way. Obviously, he is still in training and needs a lot more.
Then last week at the park, Isabella came running up with blood just pouring out of her mouth. She fell off the tire swing and cut her lip. Actually she cut off a cyst on her lip that we have been watching, along with the dentist, for a year now. Hopefully it doesn’t grow back. If it does, I will insist that it be biopsied. Not long after that, Drake jumped a fence, but caught his foot, which caused him to literally fall on his head. He hopped right up and said he was fine. So, today everyone is going to the chiropractor! The chiro is going to think I’ve been torturing my kids or something! Lol
Next week the homeschool group is delivering meals for the Meals on Wheels program. Plus we are adding a bag of personal care items that a lot of the people don’t have the money for. I’m really looking forward to this because I want the kids to see how other people live. I’m hoping it will help them (and me!) be more grateful for what we do have.

Good Evening!
I am watching the UofL game and then Grey's Anatomy and then off to bed. I feel like I am getting a cold. I don't want to be sick. UGH!
Tomorrow night I am going to the Comedy Caravan w/ Danny's sisters. It is his sister's bday. The one who lost the grandbaby back in March. So we are going to get her out. She needs to get out.
Then Sat. night Danny and I are going to the Lip Sync show at our church. Catholic function, so beer will be sold. We should have a good time. We are going w/ Steve and Patty and some other friends.
I am looking forward to 2 nights out.
I just wanted to check in before i go to bed. Don't know when or if I will get on here tomorrow.

Hey girls!
I miss you all, really!!
I am still on ediets because I had renewed right before we all moved here. And I have been on a challenge thread there. I really like the challenge thread, it helped for awhile, but they all have more to lose than me and some of them make me feel like I am silly for trying to lose weight. I think they think I am doing it for the wrong reasons. Yeah, I want to be fit and healthy, but I want to look good too:) What's wrong w/ that. SOme of the women are older and have had health problems, so to them health is the only reason they are losing. I am still young and am done having babies, so what is wrong w/ me wanting to get my body back while I still can. Anyway, I feel like we all have more in common and relate to each other well. I feel like we are all old friends and can say whatever we want w/out feeling like being judged by each other. KWIM?
So, I told them tonight I wasn't up for that challenge anymore. I have been w/ it for awhile and haven't gotten far, up and down, up and down. So, I will just check in w/ them occasionally to keep up w/ the ones on there that I do have stuff in common with. The ones on the group that had babies the same time I had Lance are still together, so I post w/ them sometimes, but some of them I don't have much in common with. So, I find myself not posting there a lot either.
Really, I don't have a lot of time to get on the computer these days, but I do like to get on as an escape when the kids are in bed and Danny isn't home or I just want to chat for a bit because I am home w/ kids all day.lol Lance just follows me around everywhere.
I have a lot of embroidery to do and try when he's awake, but he is my little destroyer, so if I am not giving him attention he is looking for things to get into and make a mess. I should be cleaning up his mess right now, but I am too tired. I have been up late the last 2 nights and am going to bed here shortly tonight. I am beat!
Tomorrow is my gym day, so I have to head out as soon as I get the kids off to school. NO naps for me in the morning. So, I better get going.
Kathy, good to see you. Sorry about the mess. YUCK! Hope your job gets better. I don't think I would want to do Nursing Homes either.
Michelle~I hope to get my pictures out tomorrow. If not then sometime this week.
I got another house to clean for extra money. It will be everyother week too. Then in December this guy's girlfriend might need someone. I don't really want to clean houses, but right now I am only doing my mil's and now this other guys. But, it is good money. I can't make $20 an hour cash money doing anything else. I am making decent money w/ my embroidery, but when these jobs are done I will have to get more. As long as I have enough to buy my kids Christmas presents I will be happy. They aren't getting much this year though.

Life goes on here. Besides school, I've been dealing with working every Sat & Sun. It isn't so bad, but I am tired all the time. I know I don't want to work in a Nursing Home when I finish school. Just from 3 weekends, my entire body hurts! These people look so frail until you try moving them around! We also had major septic problems, as in coming back up thru the basement toilet! The bathroom & laundry & storage rooms - where the bathroom is - are all tile floors, but it seeped under the walls into the family room, so about 1 foot out from the walls is wet. I'm going to have to move bookshelves & then clean the carpets. Just what the heck I need right now.
Halloween was nice. We had beautiful weather. Cool, but not too cool. We also have been having girl scout cookies booth sales. This sat. was the last one. Thank goodness.
Better go. It is 10 minutes until Justin's bus leaves. He is still sitting like a zombie at the kitchen table. I don't know what to do with that kid.

I just thought I would pop in and say HI and remembered it is NOVEMBER, so I started a new thread!
How was everyone's Halloween???
We had a good time. It was a little wet here though. It rained that day then stopped for a bit and then barely drizzled as we were finishing up the houses. So, it turned out ok. THe kids had a great time and Lance would growl at people when they opened the door. He was a giraffe. So cute!
I had to use my mil's camera to take pictures because my battery was dead. Danny got the charger out of the hotel room and I keep forgetting to look for it in his suitcase. I need to so I can have a camera again. I do have some pictures from Halloween parties that we went to. I will have to send those out soon.
So, has anyone heard from Jocely? I was just thinking about her this morning. Then one of the girl's on ediets must have been reading my mind because she posted an email from Jocelyn. I thought, did I ask about her or is it just a coincidence? Anyway, I will copy and paste her post what she posted about what Jocelyn has been up to....

The kids are off school today and tomorrow. We will hang out here because I have lots of embroidery to get caught up on. I won't get it all done today, but I need to get several things done. Danny is going to a U of L football game tonight, it is a BIG game, one of the biggest they have ever played. A lot depends on this game, so everyone it wearing black, even the football team to try to psyche the other team into losing.lol So, Danny wants me to embroider his sweatshirt that he is wearing tonight.
So, I have a few other things I want to embroider w/ the U of L cardinal, so I might as well do them all today, then do some stuff that I can make money on.
