Sometimes you have to make time for yourself. My children are 18 months apart, and it was very hard. But even if you have to get a sitter for a couple of hours so that you can take a hot bath with candles and soft music in the bathroom or take a nap for about an hour--it may help. "Mommy Time" is a necessity--Just like brushing your teeth. Keep your head up. Run the youngest one all day until he/she exhausts themselves. Have you ever tried lavender candles or lavender bath? They have lavender bath by johnson and johnson in walmart and Pure lavender in Bath and Body works. You can add that to the childrens bath water and yours too. For the kids, I usually let mine waddle in the water as long as possible. It aids in helping them SLEEP. It hasn't failed me yet. Try it out

That is so hilarious that you said that. I always tell mine that insanity is hereditary... you get it from your kids. Lazy is about right when it comes to my teenagers. They are over achievers at school, but when it comes to getting things done at home like the dishes or laundry... forget it. They keep forgetting... I know where they sleep.

I never thought stress and poor eating Duh!! :) I feel like quitting diet coke is like quitting cocaine, it is so addictive and my friends and family have been all over me about the dangers of diet coke. So we shall see if cutting it out helps I am very stressed, so maybe that is part of my shedding, I need a vacation from my life :) I would give anything for a bath with out my 2 year old sneaking in with me... and if my baby girl would sleep all night that would really be great. I am writing all this down so when they become lazy teenagers, I can wake them up just for the fun of it!! Pay backs :)

| Hey Caryn! I had to giggle when I read your post. Unfortunately all my hair loss isn't due to the child thing anymore (can't blame it on my 14, 15 and 17 year old unless I am pulling it out). Mine was just plain out poor diet and stress. I was in a high stress job, husband was in high stress job, 3 teenagers and all their activities. It was crazy! We took the unusual approach to fixing it. Cut out junk food, sodas, we both quit our high stress jobs, he got a different one that actually paid more with less stress and I started working on my own business full time. Bless your heart because I know how hard it is to stand in front of the mirror brushing and seeing what falls out! I also wanted to say kudos to you for staying away from that diet coke! I know how hard that is!

Wow you are really doing great! I have been a diet coke junky for ever and I have not had one now for 3 days, and I have already noticed that my skin is looking better. Glad to know that the shedding thing is not just me. I feel like a cat :)
Thanks for the encouragement

Hello and good for you getting back on track.
I have noticed that after having my son that my hair was falling out some. I think it started to stop after my hormones returned. Also I notice around that TOTM I tend to shed some hair too. As for skin. Mine is much better since I started drinking 8+ cups of water a day and eating healthier.

Okay so I have been missing from my diet and exercise route now for a little over a month so I am trying to get everything back on track. I have been holding steady at the same weight, which is good I guess but still 20 pounds of it is baby weight, and the other 30p pounds, well college life :) I have hit a mile stone. I just realized, I am no longer a kid. I just turned 30, and I look in the mirror and I no longer see the person that I have always been. I look nothing like myself. This absolutely terrified me into getting on that horrible treadmill this morning and back on my diet. But I have other problems, my hair is shedding like crazy, and my skin is so different is this normal?? I have set my goals to loss 10 pounds before November 1 so any help from you guys staying motivated would be great. Caryn
