Good evening!

I am watching the Louisville vs. Kentucky game on ESPN. Danny and Steve are at the game. It was a late game, didn't even start til 8pm.

Randi~You know you can do it. Just try to not buy chips next time. Eating them just once won't make your scale go up. You did good last week. Oh, and btw, the scale moving up and down isn't by luck. We cause that.lol I know because mine went up this morning and I know what I did yesterday to cause that:( I didn't do great today either, but will be back on track tomorrow. YOu need a day off every now and then.

Kathy~Hey, WTG on the bike ride. Good luck tomorrow. Keep that up and you might see the 130's before me:) I don't know if I will see the 130's. It would be nice, but I am fitting into my 6's now, need new pants though. I only have about 3 or 4 pair of 6's, blue jeans(my lucky jeans), denim capris, some cheetah print velvet like pants(I got for Danny's bday) and an old pair that are out of style, and an old pair of khakis that have the pleated front and high waist(so, out of style too). My 8's still fit me, but are a bit baggy. So, I am not sure if I will hit 130's because I have gained muscle and lost fat and after trying on my clothes today and seeing how they fit and the scale was 145 today, I may not need to lose 6 more lbs. I guess I will just have to see where it comes off. I could stand to lose some butt/thighs and some more arms. I still have some around my middle, but I am wondering if it is just loose skin after 3 kids. I didn't have it after the second. Hmmm. So, I guess I will just have to see.

I did a lot of thinking today and I guess I will just continue doing what I am doing, eating healthy, exercise, drinking my water and having a treat every now and then and no alcohol for 3 more weeks and see where I am then. I can tell I look different from the last time I was 145, so I think it is because of all the strength training. My thighs are smaller too, so my jeans don't look as tight. I just wish I could lose that junk that hangs onto the backside and just below it. KWIM?lol

So, like I was saying I am just going to see how it goes, not stress over it and however my body decides to be I will live w/. I said I will see after the next 3 weeks because I have been exercising more and I am going to try to keep it up the next 3 weeks and then I will start to cut back and do whatever I can live with since this needs to be a lifestyle I can live with. I just really wanted to lose a little more before I go to CA. But, I don't think I will be in a bikini there, so as long as I can be in bikini shape before next summer I will be fine, so no more stressing, just living life and enjoying it. That is what I am ready for!

As you can tell I thought about this a lot today. Now, I need to go shopping. Wish I had the money. Actually, my 8's are fine, just a little baggy, so I just need a few pair of pants and I am sure I can get what i need on sale. I just hate that I have so many pair of 10's now that Danny says are too baggy in the butt. THey are my favorite pants. Oh well, it could be worse, right?

I ma going to finish watching the game, so far Louisville is winning. It's a big game around these parts.lol HOpefully, Louisville will win. First, I need to get my kids to bed. Sarah keeps updating me on the score while I am on the computer. I haven't heard from either of them, so they might be asleep.

Have a great night!

Cindi

Oh, I will start a new Sept. thread tomorrow or whoever is the next to post can.

Hi everyone,
Well I FINALLY managed to put up a few pictures. I really need a new one of me for a profile shot. Maybe I'll have Mark take one of me soon.

Yesterday we took the kids to the Adventure Science Center in Nashville. They really enjoyed themselves. It was part of Isabella's bday present. I can't believe my baby is already 5! We just had a small family party for her here at the house. She couldn't make up her mind on what type of cake she wanted so I made her a purse cake. It turned out pretty cute, but a little crumby. The high humidity here really makes the icing melt. Its so different making a cake here as opposed to CO where you are always dealing with high altitude and dryness issues.

Kathy ~ Have fun on your bike ride. Wow! on the 100 pages to read for each lecture.

Randy ~ I usually use notebook but was in too much of a hurry. Story of my life lately! Those swimming stories are scary. It was sure a wake up call to me when the lifeguard got Isabella...and she can swim!

Cindi ~ I bet you can make your goal! I am wondering what I weigh right now b/c all of my clothes are looser. It's TTOM, so when that is over, I will weigh to see where I'm really at.

Becky ~ Welcome back! I have never been to Gatlinburg, but it is on our list. Mark has a week left of vacation until next May so we are trying to decide what we are going to do. Yes, I am still homeschooling. I changed curriculums this year and everything is running so much more smoothly for me and the kids. Plus, they are learning a lot more. I'm excited about it and thankfully they are too.

Sandy ~ Hope you are getting some sleep in the dorm. I bet you are having a great time!

Hi Michelle and Joce!

I need to get off of here. We took some pics of Isabella's bday and I want to get them into a snapfish album and send them out to you guys and some other friends/relatives. Have a great Labor Day!

Hi.

I am already having that overwhelmed feeling that I get at the start of school! Over 100 pages to read for each lecture. So...that's where I have been.

Today we went for a 20 mile bike ride(me Rick & Justin) My mom took the girls to my brother's and we met them there afterwards. We had a nice time. Justin was excited because he got to eat crabs.

We are getting up at 5 tomorrow morning and going to PA. Rick & I are doing a 50 mile ride. Last Sunday we did 24, so this will be interesting. Most I've done at one time is 45 miles. Funny he can do all this riding & it doesn't bother his back. He goes on the 20th to Hopkins & they are giving him a cortisone shot in the lower spine. Hopefully that will help.

Becky - welcome back! We were in Sandusky again this year. We did Cedar point for 2 evenings. Pelee was great. We just love it there.

Sandy - Welcome to you too. Are you the Sandy from eDiets?

Cindi - WTG on the weight loss! That is awesome! You'll become our new poster child if you hit the 130's!

I'll finish up later. (Probably after our ride tomorrow. The kids need me upstairs.

Good night.

Good Evening, Skinnies!

Sorry I went MIA again. I just got out of the habit of posting and even touching the computer for about a week or so. :-( I was down to 193 on Monday. I'm hoping it's still there or lower on this Monday! But with my luck it isn't.

I'm proud of myself today I avoided the potato chips until dinner!! I had carrots with lunch (a sandwich) to give me something to crunch and an apple with a bit of salt to get me fruit (and the salt). But at dinner I was out of carrots and apples, so I caved. I had to have something to go with the Sloppy Joe besides just my glass of water. But I did realize that I really didn't need them. I've been reading a book by Marla Cilley (Flylady) & Leanne Ely (Dinner Diva) called "Body Clutter". So far it makes perfect sense! I just can't figure out why my comfort food became comfort food for me. It's not just that it tastes good; it's almost a need to eat it when I'm down. I'm working on it.

Becky~ Good to see you, Girl!!!

Cindi~ That sounds like my mornings do nothing as long as possible, but mine is just laziness! lol. Checkbook balanced??? What's that??? LOL. I need to get that done. It's just that everytime I think about it almost literally go crazy! I tend to get depressed over it everytime! WAY TO GO! on your past 3 weeks!!! You go, Girl!!!

Debbie~ That is always scary!!! I had a scare similar to that with Cody a couple of times actually. Once we were rafting behind a boat on a river when Cody was about 3. The raft the boat's wake. The raft flipped and out we both went down...down... down... I was just praying that he held his breath long enough to get back to the suface. Then when he was about 4 or 5 we were at a lake. I wanted to swim for a bit and told him to stay put on a rock where he could splash then I'd take him over to the beach part. He had an uncle, an aunt, and his grandpa watching him too. So I went to swim just around a bit and I looked back to see him slip off the edge of the rock into the water! I screamed at his uncle to grab him. Cody came up coughing. He said he just wanted to stand at the edge to look off. We didn't know until later that the rock had a slight "step" in it and when looked at from above it wasn't noticeable so his foot slipped when he stepped to the edge! Needless to say he wore a lifejacket from then on until he learned to swim. This year Jeremy got his first solo swimming lessons after trying to drown himself in the middle of the Buffalo River last summer! Hey do you have a windows notepad of some sort? I use wordpad to type my message in a different screen while I'm reading the posts then just copy and paste into the reply section when I'm ready. Hope that helps!

Joce~ I'm nowhere near goal I'm now at 193 and goal is 130 (or 140 we'll see when I get there). HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY to Wesley a bit early!!!

Kathy~ How's it going? Still OP???

Michelle~ I think that will be about the only thing I look forward to when Jeremy goes to school next year. I might actually get the house clean and it stay that way until they get home. lol. Right now there seems no end to the mess Jeremy makes! I enjoy the quiet time before Jeremy wakes up by reading my Bible.

Sandy~ Good to see you. I'm doing great with school. I don't have to worry about the boys fighting until Cody gets back from school each day! And then there's always getting him to practice his cello! That's the tough part.

Well, I can't believe this it's only 8pm and I'm starting to get tired. I'd better go for now. I still have to add minutes to my phone and check my e-mail. Catch y'all later!

Should start a new thread soon???

Good Morning!

I know I have been busy I guess you all have been too!

I have to tell you all something. I don't if it will last or what is going on w/ my body.lol

The past 3 weeks I was pretty strict w/ my calorie intake and I was exercising a lot and drinking my water. Remember I said I wanted to get serious and I did. I had gotten up to just over 150. Well, as of Monday I was 147. SO, w/ all the hard work over the past 3 weeks I was surprised that I didn't lose more than that. Oh well, I was happy w/ that. Well, this week I have had ice cream every day, but still watching my calories, somewhat, not putting it all on fitday like I was and was exercising, but less. Well, since Monday(147lbs.) I have lost over 3lbs. I was 143.8 this morning. I am kinda shocked that the scale just keeps going down. I just knew I blew it yesterday, but the scale still went down. So, now I am wondering if I wasn't consuming enough calories for the amount of exercise I was doing the past few weeks. I know the weightloss will slow down and some of this is water weight, so now I am afraid to splurge because I can gain 3 or more lbs of water weight in a day! Tonight we are going to my cousin's house because my aunt and uncle are in town. Last weekend we went over there and we grilled out. I ate healthy, didn't eat past 8:30pm(usually my cut off is 8pm) and didn't have one margarita. I took some diet cherry cokes and caffeine free diet coke too. SO, I drank water, but when I wanted a "drink" I had a diet. I did fine and had a great time w/out feeling icky the next day. So, I have come a long way the past 3 weeks. I will just have to be sure to stick w/ my diet drinks tonight and just enjoy the company and seeing my aunt and uncle.

I really wanted to see 135 before we went to Hollywood/LA in Oct., but didn't think I would. NOw, it looks like I might have a chance at doing that. I figure the less I weigh then it won't matter if I gain a few lbs while out of town.

So, I don't know what is going on here, but I will take it. I even though maybe my scale was broken, so I measured and I am down a little bit, so I guess whatever I am doing is working but I really do need to stop the ice cream habit that I have going on this week. It is almost gone, so when it is I guess I will stop:)

If anyone has any comments on this let me know because I really need to know if I need to be taking in more calories when I exercise more. I know I need to a little, but don't really know how much. HMMM.

I am up early today because the kids both had a cousin stay the night and they were all up between 7 and 7:30, so I have already made coffee and cinnamon rolls this morning. NOw, it is time for me to get Danny up and then go lie back down for a bit. Although, I am not as tired as I had expected to be. It will hit me in a bit though.

Doesn't look like I will get to go to my spinning class today since I have a couple extra kids and Danny has to go work at the storage units. I wish I could get out for an hour though. I do hope to get to the gym early tomorrow. There is a good class there on Sunday mornings. Oh, also, I am thinking about hiring a personal trainer for one session to find out if I need to incorporate more heavy free weights into my routine and then I guess I can ask her about my caloric intake. I might be ok, since I don't plan on exercising as much from now on as I did the past 3 weeks. I might try to figure this out on my own before paying for a personal trainer.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

TTYL,
Cindi

Hello!

Becky~It's great to see you! I am so glad you are back. We've been wondering about you. The thread has been slow this summer. We only had one thread for August if that tells you anything. I can't believe tomorrow is Sept. already! WOW! Where has the time gone. Jocelyn moved to Germany and doesn't get a lot of hours per month w/ her AOL. I think that's right. So, she pops in every now and then. I don't know if Wesley has speech issues or just his drooling. How is Cole doing? Is he done w/ his speech therapy? I know so many people that held their kids back in Pre-K due to maturity reasons and were so glad they did it. I am sure he will benefit from that. And yes, we can all do this together. It has been a rough summer and we are ready to get back on the bandwagon. I am so glad you posted.

Sandy~When Lance gets tired, he gets whiney and I know it is nap time or he cries when he wants out of his high chair, etc. He is really a good, happy baby. I usually put him in the high chair w/ something to eat and then get on here, so I know where he is. HE is always getting into something around here.

I can't remember if I told you all, but Lance is 27lbs and almost 33 in. long. He is my pickiest eater, he has texture problems, yet he will eat rocks, erasers and suck on ink pads???!!! I just found him w/ Sarah's Halloween ink pad thing and he was so quiet. When I found him he jumped up and started running before I said anything. HE knew he was doing something wrong. Whenever I say, NO, or Don't do that, he either puckers up and cries(no tears) or he runs the other way, laughing.

I am sooo tired. I am going to lie in bed and read for a bit.

Have a great night!

Cindi

HI EVERYONE!!!! I can't believe I found you guys on here!!! After a busy summer I am ready to get serious about weight loss. So, I joined a gym yesterday came on here and printed my grocery list and meal plan. Well, it's confession time. I am back to my original weight when I first met you guys. I have been eating whatever and whenever I want and not working out. That's all going to change! I'm so glad you guys are here to help me reach my goals!
How long have you all had a thread on here? How do I get my picture on here and one of those cute graphs that shows your weight loss in your posts?

Kathy~ Happy belated anniversary. How was your trip to Pelee this summer?

Michelle~ Are you still working the same job? How old are the boys now?

Joce~ Don't be discouraged about your slump... we can do this together! I need to lose 40 now cause I still had 20 to lose before and I gained 20 back that I lost on ediets. We can do this! BTW, did I read that Wesley is having speech issues? We've had Cole in speech therapy for 2 years, so let me know if you have any questions about it.

Debbie~ How is life in Tennessee? We went to Gatlinburg for a week this summer, had a great time. Are you still homeschooling? How is that going?

Hello Sandy, I'm Becky from Ohio SAHM to Brianna,7 and Cole, 5 married to Scott.
Brianna started school this week, she is in 2nd grade. We decided to send Cole to a pre-k class instead of kindergarten. The kid is really smart and sharp as a whip but he has some maturity issues that need to be worked out.
Talk to you all soon!
Becky

Good Thursday morning!
I went to the gym last night, but Aunt Flo came yesterday and when I got home from the gym I wasn't feeling too good. I went to bed at 8:30!

Michelle- we named the puppy Gracie. She is ALL puppy! We also have Rudy who is a Yorkie. He is 2 years old. We also have a Cairn Terrier, but we have to keep her outside cause she seems to have forgotten all her training. She's blind, we think hard of hearing, but she always seems happy when we are out with her. My dd goes to Olivet Nazarene University. I get to paly college student this weekend. I'm going for an over night trip without DH and sleeping in the dorm.

I had Honeynut Cheerios with a peach for breakfast and am drinking my water.

Cindi- good job on getting your stuff done! What was Lance crying about?
Hi everyone else!

Michelle~I was thinking the same thing. I did kind of expect Ryan to go, but I think Storm will be next. It is getting harder because they are all good singers. I think Ryan will be a great solo artist. I think Dilanna was really sorry for what she did and they all seemed to forgive her. What I don't understand is the week she said all that she wasn't in the bottom 3 it was the week later when she apologized and showed how sorry she was that she ended up in the bottom 3. But, I think it will be down to Dilanna, Magni and Toby. I think they are starting to like Toby more, but overall I think Dilanna is the best vocalist. It will just depend on if they want a male or female to front them. They told Dilanna after one of her performances that they now know a female can front their band, but is that what they really want? She does have a deep raspy voice, kinda reminds me of Janice Joplin and she was an awesome singer, so i guess it just depends on what they are looking for.

And yes, we all need days where we do nothing and have no kids to keep us busy.

Yesterday, I finally cleaned my office, got my checkbook balanced and paid bills.

Today, I have to go get a new driver's license and then go do a personal opinion thing where i get paid $50 to give my opinion on something and then have to pay my Macy's bill. I rarely use that card and when I do I pay it off, so I forgot it was due today. So, I will run in and out and then go get the boys, so I won't be tempted to buy anything else.lol

So, how is everyone doing w/ eating, water, and exercise. Is your scale being nice to you?? If not, what can you do to make it go down?

Lance is crying I better get going.

Make it a great day!

CINDI CAN YOU BELIEVE RYANN WAS BOOTED??? I can't. I really like him. Although, I think he's a GREAT performer/singer, I don't think he sang songs that was particularly fitting for Supernova. KWIM? It's so hard now. I think i was ready for Storm to go, not Ryann. I think she was surprised too. I figured that Delia sp? would be in the bottom 3 tonight after what she pulled week before.

That is so precious about Lance ahhing the bagel. I miss that stage.

Debbie~i do have pretty good energy for the most part. Then I'll have a day where I just want to lay in bed all day. then when I do, by 5, i think to myself, geez I could've done this and this and this. O-well, I guess we all need those days to do nothing. Right?

I better go to sleep. I have to be at the school to get ready for our spirit sales Friday morning. I have to be make upd and dressed by when I drop the boys off.

See y'all tomorrow!

Sandy~Hi, good to see you! Stay awhile!

Debbie~That field trip sounds fun. 9lbs is great!

Michelle~Enjoy your quiet time:) I enjoy mine too much in the morning and then I get nothing done because then Lance wakes up. I guess once i get used to having it everyday then I will be more motivated. Although, I did get up and clean my office, balanced my checkbook and did bills this morning. I got a nap yesterday, so I was up late cleaning the kitchen and family room and toy room, so I am getting a little done at a time.

Today was Lance's 15 mo. check up. He is 27lbs and about 33in. long. He is in the 75th %ile. He's a big boy. I just put him to bed, so he should get a good night's sleep. HE's been sleeping at least 12 hours, although he slept 16 hours the other night. He got his MMR shot today and I gave him ibuprofen for the pain and to avoid a fever, so that's probably another reason he is so tired. This morning he was in his high chair saying ahhh-ah, ahhh-ah, like he was cuddling something. I looked in and he had his bagel to the side of his head w/ his head tilted, saying ahhh-ah. It was so cute.

Joce~I didn't realize Wesley was still drooling. HE is almost 4, right? I would definitely contact a speech pathologist. AT least they can let you know if there is anything that needs to be done. I have a degree in speech/language pathology, but I can't remember about that specific thing.lol It has been a long time. I finally weaned Lance. When he was pulling at my shirt I would just give him a sippy cup w/ water or milk or put him down for a nap. I didn't b/f him before bed. I would just let him cry it out. The morning one was the hardest to get past. SO, I would just get him up and put him straight in his high chair and give him a cup w/ milk. He was getting up at 7:30 every morning. NOw that he is weaned he sleeps til 8:30 or 9am or later.
Good luck w/ the weaning. It is easier to stop one feeding at a time.

Lance is down, now I have to get the other 2 down before Rockstar comes on. Then I need to soak in the tub and then get to bed early myself.

Have a great night!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone. I took the kids to Purity Dairy for a field trip today with the homeschool group. We all had a lot of fun eating their ice cream! And yes, I had some, but I figure I worked it off last night at Jazzercise. :) Then we took the kids to a park and let them play in the creek and the playground. Drake is still at a friends' house so it's just me and the girls. We had a nice afternoon playing Chinese checkers and a couple of other games.

Joce ~ It is nice to see a post from you. Look up the laws in Germany concerning homeschooling. I'm pretty sure it is illegal there. However, since you guys are military, maybe you are exempt and can still homeschool since you are on base? I don't know. Concerning the weight issue...is there an exercise class you can join? That's the only thing that has enabled me to get back on the bandwagon and start losing again. It's been really slow...9lbs since March, but I will take it!

Michelle ~ I wish I had your kind of energy to clean my house!

Sandy ~ Hello friend!

Well crud I didn't take notes and can't see beyond Michelle's post. Hello to Randy, Kathy and Cindi. Hope you all are doing well. I need to get dinner going.

Good morning skinnies. I'm just sat down to take a little break. I've already mowed, mopped, vacuumed, laundried. Whew, ready for a shower and nap now. LOL

Sandy~hey girl! How precious! A little Yorkie. What did y'all name it? We have 2 maltipoos and they are so precious and sweet. Good lap dogs. Still gardening? I'm enjoying it. What college is she attending?

Joce~hope you got your nap in. I can't believe Tommy is 16 mths already! Hope you can find a school for Wesley. When you say early about W riding bus, do you mean early as in time, or early as in age?

Gotta go shower. I stink.

Hi all!
Long time no post for me. I have managed to lose 3 pounds. Portion control is so hard for me! I try to get in more exercise, since I know I want to eat like a horse.

Right now I have a month pass at a gym and am loving it, but, unforntunately, cannot afford to pay for membership.

I got a new puppy a few weeks ago, so we're busy training her. She's pretty good with potty training, but she wants to chew on everything and get into the garbages (the little ones). She's a Yorkie so she's not very big.

Well, thought I'd pop in to see how the STBS crew are doing with school starting.
We took our youngest up to college last week for her sophmore year. I miss her already! I am suffering from the empty nest syndrome something horrible.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Ahhh, sorry, I kept forgetting about posting again!! Man I can't seem to get this to be a regular part of my life again. But I'm sick of my 20 lbs of belly and butt. So depressing. Tommy is now 16 mo old and I was already at my goal weight when Wesley was this age. Isn't that a weird thought? But I also wasn't still nursing!

On that note I talked to my mom who took the slow and easy approach. She said if he's crying for it, give it to him, and if my boobs are full, nurse him so I don't get an infection. if we're home he nurses more. if we go out he does fine. I was out Fri night and Roland got him to bed! I was so happy! I thought for sure he'd wake up and want to nurse but didn't. Whew!! It would be nice if Roland could get him up in the mornings but he's GONE at 6:30 a.m.! UGH!! It would be so nice if he would at least stay home til 7 or 7:30 but no, he insists on being at work at 7 a.m. and then isn't often home before 7 p.m.!!!

Sigh. So that is the latest on b/f. We have all been sick this past week too. Just got T down for a nap (nursed to sleep while I skimmed posts) and I want another nap! Today I feel good enough to get out so we'll see if I make it out in time after his nap/before dinner time. Maybe tomorrow I can exercise. Maybe today I can at least walk. It was a NASTY cold, almost flu-ish. Ugh. My neighbor has it now too. So at least this week she is out of commission and maybe I can be healthier. part of my prob with this 20 lbs is that i am almost always out with her and the boys doing something, and its part of her plan to eat lunch out, whereas if I were really on top of things, i'd get out asap in teh morning and be back for lunch, or try to pack a lunch to bring along, but then thats more time preping to get out the door in the morning! ahhh! I'm lucky if i get out the door by 9:30 a.m. as it is!

sigh. it is depressing. how are the rest of you with your goal weights? it sounded like you were all doing really well.

well on that note I need to go lay down and see about napping. napping won't get rid of hte belly, but I'm exhausted!

another hting my neighbor doesn't help with is her having ahd a gastric bypass and then a tummy tuck and thighplasty or wahtever its called. seh says just go ahead and have my 3rd baby now, plan on teh tummy tuck and then I odn't have to work off any of it! blah! imagine how huge I'd be if I didn't lose any weight before having a third baby at this point. i'd be as big as I was iwth Wesley if not bigger. ugh.

alright W's begging for Scooby doo roll ups.

Oh and I don't know what i'm doing about his preschool. the german one I toko him to won't accept him cause i don't pay german taxes. its a bunch of rubbish really. other military have their kids in german schools. so I have to find another one or a wiating list for another one. i looked into the montessori (english speaking) and they've only got 2 adn 3 full day openings, and 2 days/week full days are almost $300 a month! ouch! and its a good 30 min drive away. i can't bring myself to pay that. plus he'd prob be napping there in the afternoons. and Tommy naps in teh aftenroons..then I'm waking him up to p/u W like last year. ugh.

i found out he can start kindergarten NEXT year at hte school on base, with bus service. that seems awfully early. so I'm thinking about homeschooling, lots of military families do that here. but I also would like the break. so w'ell see. i can't believe he turns 4 on Labor Day already! he still drools alot..I just read somethign onlien that he might need a speech therapist to help teach him to swallow his drool. i'm not sure if he needs a 4 yr checkup at the doc but I should mention it then if he is supposed to have one.

Michelle~I have been sitting doing nothing for almost 3 hours.lol I have a hard time getting up and moving after the kids leave on Monday mornings. It is my day to do nothing, well, not have to go anywhere at least, but I should be cleaning or something. I just have a hard time making myself do it and Lance is still asleep, so I have been enjoying my quiet time:) Guess, I will go check on him and then do something.

Silly, I dont' know why I wait for him to wake up. I get the most done when he is sleeping and right now he is going on over 2 hours past his normal wake up time. GUess, I am just enjoying the quiet time too much. Daniel will be home at noon and then it is all over. I plan to jump on the t/m at noon. OH, I GOT MY NEW SHOES OVER THE WEEKEND!! I can't wait to get on the t/m and try them out!

Kathy~Hope the first day back goes well. Great bike ride! Day 1 OP! Let's do it!

I really should be cleaning my office or doing bills. I guess I will go get dressed check on Lance, I think I hear him talking, and then be productive the rest of the day. At least I had a good morning!

Anyone else going to exercise w/ me today??

Make it a great day!

Oh Kathy, I would be the same way sitting in class dying to know if dh made it home on time. LOL Our husbands must be the same. Hmmm......

How exciting all the little kiddos off to school. Mine started last week. I"m enjoying now my quiet house. and keeping a clean house at least until 3:00. LOL

Debbie~that is SO scary about the pool. You are NOT a bad mommy. We've all turned our head for 1 second and had something happen. {{{{HUGS}}}} We went to our pool yesterday. Remember that pool I showed you when you came?

Cindi~YAY w/another spinning class. You're kicking butt girl.

Well, I better go get busy again. This is my first time to sit down this morning and I might go back to sleep if I don't get up. LOL

Hello

Today is the big day. Everyone is off to school. Aaron is already gone. Justin is getting ready. I couldn't sleep worth anything, so I was up by 5 a.m.! I have to be at school at one. I will miss the kids coming home from school, but I know I'll be sitting in class worrying if Rick got home in time! Stephanie starts her classes today. She has a long day. 4 classes - spread out from 9 a.m. to chemistry lab from 7-9:45 p.m.! Angela doesn't start until Sept 12.

I have decided this is the day to start eating right. I had a bowl of Special K with skim milk. I'll have some water in a little bit.

Debbie - That is so scary about Isabella! I am not a strong swimmer, so I am always a bit over-diligent in watching the kids around water - so they don't get too far that I couldn't help them!

Hi to everyone else. I did read all the posts, but just haven't had time to respond. We went to Gettysburg yesterday & did a 22 mile bike ride. Very hilly! Very good exercise.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hello!

I did another spinning class today. I had to wait a week before I was up for another one.lol I got so sweaty. I like a good, sweaty workout though.

My scale is moving soooo slow and I am working my butt of, or so I hope. I am curious to see if my measurements have gone down much. I will do them again on Monday and see.

Debbie~That is scary. I was at an indoor pool for a bday party last Feb. and Sarah didn't have any flotation device, except a kick board. I was watching her and talking and the kick board flew out of her hands just as I turned my head to look at her. She started to panic, the lifeguards were changing and no one was watching. I was standing there in sweats and yelling for someone to give her the board back. NO one paid attention to me. Finally, the birthday girl's dad jumped in. Luckily, he had his swim trunks on or I would have been in there fully clothed. He apologized for not seeing it to begin w/. The lifeguard(who had tennis shoes on) never said a thing to me, but another lifeguard from the other end of the pool came over about 10 min. later and asked me if everything was ok. She is the one that told me the lifeguards were switching when it happened. I didn't see that, but still one of them should have been paying closer attention. I am just glad I saw it. I was so mad. So, before the pools opened this summer I put her in swim lessons at the Y for 2 sessions and now she can swim all over the pool. It is scary, I know. I'm glad she is ok.

Randi~I don't take out all the junk. I just quit buying stuff I really like. I do buy some of those Southbeach Peanut Butter bars that are about 100 cal. for when I really want something or if I am really hungry and it holds me over til I eat. Or I keep an apple w/ me to hold me over. I don't let the kids have a lot of junk, but I will buy them some snacks for school and occasionally they have them at home, but I try to encourage fruit and they love fruit, so they snack mostly on that or goldfish, wheat thins, popcorn, pringles, stuff like that, but I am going to try to get them to start snacaking on carrots and celery. THey like it and will eat it if I give it to them. They prefer it w/ dip too. So, maybe gradually get rid of it, kind of like weaning them.lol

I need to get to the grocery to stock up on fruits and veggies for the week. I hope to get out by myself today when Danny is done w/ his golf scramble. I need new workout shoes BAD!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

TTYL,
Cindi

Oh, I'm so far behind on posts already. I've been checking the little box to email me when someone replies to this thread and I haven't been getting the emails. Hmmmm

Anyway, I have to tell you all I got a scare yesterday. I took the kids swimming at the public pool and met some friends. Noelle, Ashlyn and Isabella went off swimming together so I assumed Isabella would be fine since Ashlyn was with her. I was in the pool talking with Fran(Noelle's grandma) when I heard the whistle and the lifeguard jumped into the pool to get...guess who? Isabella! She was in the middle of the pool and he noticed her start to struggle so he just jumped in to get her. I was so mortified. She was only 10 feet away from me...talk about feeling like the worst Mommy in the world. Thankfully she was just fine. I asked her what happened and she said she swam to Ashlyn and then Ashlyn & Noelle just swam away and she didn't know what to do. I just feel so terrible about this b/c I should have never taken my eyes off of her even though she can swim. Anyway, we are not at the pool today for obvious reasons. If Mark is up to it, we might go tonight. At least there will be two sets of eyes watching the kids that way.

I have to get dinner going so I'll cuop later and do some shouts. Have a great weekend!

Good Afternoon, Skinnies!

Well, the cake has been trashed! I'm trying to keep myself out of the other junk too. Avoiding the chips isn't as hard as avoid any candy & cake we happen to have. Unless I've got vanilla ice-cream then I like a few potato chips with it. Yes I know that sounds weird maybe even gross, but I like it (unfortunately for my waist).

Yea! for me. I stayed with only one serving of taquitos for lunch. Usually I have 10 or so instead of just 5. I told myself that if I was still hungry after I ate the 5, I could come back and get a few more. Well, guess what...I'm not hungry! I fixed myself a nice 16 oz glass of water to go with the taquitos and I'm full! I do need to go eat some fruit or veggies though for a snack later. Need veggies if I can find some. It's about time for some grocery shopping.

Cindi~ Cool a couple of weeks with no junk! I think my boys would rebel if I took out ALL the junk food. And I think I would too. LOL. I just need to be sure to buy a small cake next time and keep the junk food to a minimum. We are also going back to planning the snacks the night before! That seemed to help keep me and the boys under control. I think next weekend I'm going through my pantry and cleaning it out, with Rusty's & the boys' help. That way we all know what's there and we can all decide what we will and will not eat so it can stay or go depending. Then I have to go through the boys' clothes closet & drawers to remove all the clothes that they've outgrown. Just not sure when that will happen. Then again it may not happen next weekend b/c we are going to a Bible camp weekend for Labor Day weekend. Hmmm.....when to find the time.

Debbie & Joce~ HI! Hope you're having a great day, Ladies!

Kathy~ Welcome Back!!! Glad you had a great time!!!

Michelle~ He hates school and has since about 4th grade. LOL. But he did survive his first week of 8th grade. He hasn't even brought any homework home yet. He's been able to get it done in his study hall before he leaves school. I told him that study hall would be a good thing! LOL. Unfortunately he has P.E. next semester instead of study hall. I just wish he would get into a better after school routine. Right now it's come home, jump on the computer, eat dinner, go to bed after arguing with me about getting off the computer. I've got to threaten to ground him to get him off! He needs to practice his cello, but he hasn't done that except once this week! Will beating him put any sense into him??????? Whatever happened to Kelly anyway??? And I'm about to start glass #5. So far 32 oz down! :-) I'll get started on the squats shortly. :-)

I won't be on tomorrow due to I will be at a Sisters' Retreat this weekend. Well tonight and tomorrow. Most of the sisters from our ecclesia and a few from other ecclesias will be there. I look forward to the fellowship & the break from the kids. I love my boys, but I am with them every day. I don't think I've had a day without at least one of them in 4 years (or more). An overnight break will be nice (I think). I'll catch up with y'all when I get back! {{{HUGS}}} to you all!!!

GOOOOOOD MORNING!

I did not want to get up again this morning, but I feel good! I guess sometimes you just gotta make yourself and then you feel better once you are up and moving.

I am going to attempt the gym again this morning for the 8:30 class. Hopefully, Lance will be more cooperative today! Fingers crossed.

Randi~I know I have to go w/ no junk in the house to get it out of my system. I have to say I am sooo proud of myself. Since I have been junk free for a couple weeks and we have had little debbie choc. cakes w/ white icing and choc. chips on top(one of my favorites) I have not touched them, only to put in Sarah's lunch. And I have been known to empty a full box of little Debbies in a day or 2! So, that is major for me AND the best part is I don't even want them. I had a craving the other night, but I waited til it was over and I haven't craved it since. I have been having 1/2 an english muffin w/ 1/2 tbsp of pb and 1/2 a banana on top for bfast w/ my coffee and it seems to work for me. At night I have low sugar/low carb vanilla yogurt w/ fresh strawberries and blueberries and a little granola or GLC cereal on top and that totally satisfies any sweets craving I might have. If I am craving it during the day I have it earlier, but I crave that now instead of other sweets. LIke I said, this is major for me because I am a sweetsaholic! I am getting so close to goal though and really want to lose this weight for good, so I just have to bite the bullet and do it! Good luck to you too! We can do this together, right?

Ok, I need to get moving. I have to stop and get gas on my way to the gym. It is $2.69 over here, but $2.56 over by my Mom. Usually, it is cheaper over here, but I don't want to drive all the way to her house, so I will see how much it is by the gym. I hate spending more that I have to!

Have a wonderful OP day!

Cindi,

Yes it is almost gone and I'll see if the boys want to finish it off tomorrow if not it will be thrown out. I'm tired of giving in so much. I think I need to go a week or 2 with NO junk food in the house (as long as I'm not PMSing and need chocolate that is). Just to see how much better we all do without it. I'd love to be able to go vegetarian for that matter, but meat and bread are about the only things I digest well. Those and bread. Oh well, I just have to find a happy medium.

Well, gotta go it's getting late! 10:56pm past time for bed! Catch y'all later!

Good Evening!

I am off to bed. Just wanted to check in real quick.

Michell~Did you watch Rockstar. Patrice is finally gone! I figured it was her turn. I am clueless as to who will go next. Did you watch it tonight, because I missed what Dilanna said about, oh, what's his name. I can't remember the guy that wears makeup and has wild hair. LIttle short guy. ANyway, She said something that offended them and Dave gave her a hard time over it. I just missed what she said. ANyway, if you saw it, fill me in.

Randi~It is sooo hard not to cave when the cake is just sitting there. At least it was a small piece. Is it almost gone? Get rid of it.

I did make it to the gym tonight and exchanged Sarah's shoes. Finally! She has been driving me crazy about it because she wants to wear them so bad. One more thing done and out of the way. I really need to make my days more productive. I am just having a hard time making myself do anything when the kids are in school. I just want to do nothing. I guess I need to get that out of my system and then I will become more productive. First of all though I need to get to bed at a decent time, so I better get off here.

Good Afternoon, Skinnies!

Wow! It's already lunch time! Where did the morning go??? I go up at 7:15 this morning and ate breakfast, fixed Jeremy breakfast, got the boys' chores charts ready for next month, and got on here. So where did the morning go? I thought it was just around 9 or 10!!! And I still have to run some errands today! Oh boy is this going to be an interesting day!

Well, I did cave into the cake, but only had a small piece instead of the big one I wanted. I've got to get in a better habit of eating fruits & veggies!!! Okay, I plan to do better today!!! Time to sit down and plan out the snacks and meals for the day! That is after a few shouts. ;-)

Cindi~ I miss the cuddle time! Jeremy will come up to me now and say, "Mommy, you know what...I love you" and then give me a hug. But that's about all the cuddle time I get now. I was jealous of Rusty the other night. He was on his laptop and Jeremy crawled up in his lap and laid his head on Rusty's shoulder. Shortly afterwards Jeremy was asleep. I took him off to bed and a few minutes later he came running back into the living room to crawl up in Daddy's lap again. It was so cute, but I was still jealous just a bit. sleep or gym??? I always opt for sleep if that's the choice! LOL! Of course that's probably why I'm in the shape I'm in too. Huh? LOL

Debbie~ Cody says thank you for the Happy Birthday wishes.

Joce~ Hope you're doing well. :-)

Kathy~ Having a good trip I hope. :-)

Michelle~ I wish I had seen your challenge yesterday! At least I did go to bed before midnight last night. I'll try harder to go to bed early tonight. Cody says to tell you thank you for the Happy birthday wishes.

Good Morning!

I had some special time w/ my baby this morning. He was so sweet. He woke up at 6:30, so I knew he would be tired early. So, about 8 or so he crawled up in my lap and just laid there staring at me and cuddling. I love those moments. I can now say he is officially weaned. This is the first time ever that he just laid in my lap w/ his head on my chest and wasn't pulling at my shirt or trying to feed. It was so nice. I love those moments of just cuddling and him not "wanting" something. KWIM? I had a hard time weaning him since he is my last, but that was worth it to have that cuddle time. i put him down for a nap shortly after that because I could tell he was tired, but was getting restless in my arms. He is so sweet.

Thank you all for the Anniversary wishes:) We had a nice night. My Mom came over and we went to a nice restaurant for dinner and then went to see a movie and was home by 9pm. I wanted Mom to be able to get home and get to bed since she has to get up early. We saw the Break Up w/ Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. It was funny. We could totally relate to some of their arguments.lol I said, what a movie to see on our Anniversary. At one point when they were arguing Danny put his arm around me and hugged me. IT was sweet.

Michelle~I am glad Kade enjoyed school. Is it a whole day? The first day is the hardest. It will get easier from here. I haven't been getting enough sleep. I get around 7 hours, but I need at least 8 to feel good and rested in the morning. So, I decided when I woke up today that I would go to bed by 10pm tonight. I was going to last night, but RockStar came on at 10pm. What is up w/ that? I thought it came on at 9pm. THey must have changed something. I wish nothing good came on that late. OUr news here starts at 11pm. So, that is when I usually get to bed. I need to work on that. YOur news comes on at 10pm doesn't it? For some reason in the Central time zone the news starts earlier I think. I wish it did here, so I can get to bed earlier.lol I have noticed when I am tired I want to snack more. I don't know why, but I eat more when I am tired.

I should be napping right now while Lance is, but I am afraid I will oversleep and I want to go to the gym for 9:30 iron YOga. I haven't done that in a long time. There is a class I want to do tonight too. I should just sleep now and go to the other class tonight. Hmmm, sleep or gym?

Randi~Step away from the bday cake. Either get the kids to finish it off or throw it away or give it away. I have a hard time having bday cake in my house.

I think I talked myself out of going to the gym this morning. I till have to see what other classes they have tonight because I did want to do 2 hours. Oh, that's right last week I did a 2 hour class on Wed. IT is cardio at 4:30 and then abs and then Total body conditioning til 6:30. I think I will just do that again.

Ok, I am off to nap:)

Have a great day!

Good Morning, Skinnies!

I think my lack of sleep is catching up to me. I slept so hard last night I didn't even hear the alarm once this morning and Rusty says it went off at least 5 times. LOL. I should have gone to bed as soon as I started dosing off at 9:00 last night! Why don't I listen to my body? I think it knows what it needs (most of the time as long as it's not craving birthday cake!!!). I really need to avoid the cake today. Y'all please send me some good "cake avoiding" vibes today!!!

Cindi~ HAPPY 8TH ANNIVERSARY!!! I need to declutter too. The boys have too many toys and most of them they don't even touch any more. The only time they get pulled out is at Bible class or when they're trying to get to something else in the toy box. We really need to go though their stuff in a couple of weeks.

Debbie~ Soooo cool we almost have the same anniversary!! You almost got married on mine and Rusty's 1st anniversary! Neat.

Joce~ Haven't seen you in a while. Where are you???

Kathy~ Hope you're having fun!

Michelle~ I know what you mean. I can't believe it either. It seems like just yesterday he was going to kindergarten! And now he's in his last year of middle school (or junior high however you see it). Next year my boy will be a freshman in highschool and my baby will be in kindergarten!!! Good morning. Well, my boys started school. Yes, I'm a blubbering idiot. I can't stop crying. I did my best to hold it all in at the school. My little Kade is starting a new phase in his little life. They both looked sooo handsome this morning.

Debbie~hey girl! Gosh, that is a sad story. 18 mth old. So young. But his dad sure does sound like a neat and strong guy. How come they wouldn't let y'all swim in the water? Glad y'all got in a little swim anyway. How neat. Did you get any pics?

Cindi~ Yes, I need to clear out too. I was going to start today, but you know what? I think I'm just going to stay in bed all day and cry when I want and just let it all out. I deserve on day to do that. I've already cleaned the breakfast dishes. But, that's all I'm doing today. LOL

Good Morning!

Debbie~That is so sad! I will keep him in my prayers. A girl I know from the New Moms on ediets said that she had a guy friend from HS that died last week. HE and his 3 mo. old baby died in a car accident. The Mom and other child survived and were at the visitation when she went. That is just so hard. I can't imagine going through that. I would have to say losing Baileigh was the hardest funeral I have ever been to, of course, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. And we are still having to deal w/ that because my nephew's trial starts in November. Keep him in your prayers too, please.

I decided to try a new class at the gym. I am really tired again today because I haven't gotten to bed early enough the past 2 nights. I wanted to last night, but Danny and I started watching Supernanny and they had 3 kids, 6,4,1. SO, we decided to watch. Man, they had a huge house. One thing I got out of it is I think I will buy some large plastic containers for their toys and just let them keep so many in the house at a time and the others in the storage room. Then switch them out. We could probably get rid of some again. They just have too much stuff. I don't think they will get much for Christmas this year. First of all, we don't have a lot of extra money this year, as if we ever do.lol But, I think I will just get them stuff they can use and for Lance I think instead of buying a lot I will just pull out some of Daniel's toys that I put away for Lance.lol I do have a couple things I want to buy him. ANyway, I just need to start decluttering again!

I better get going, so I can get to the gym on time this morning.

Have a wonderful day!

Oh, thank goodness for Nintendo! LOL! I finally have a minute to myself to try and catch up with everyone. I apologize for being so absent. I still have so much to do and my house is a disaster.

Ashlyn's slumber party went really well last weekend. I was amazed at how well all of the girls played with each other and no one was ever left out.

Last Wednesday(16th) we left to go camping at Fall Creek Falls, TN. I told Mark it was going to be too hot and we needed to make some contingency plans. Did my wonderful dh listen to me? Noooooo! Was it hot? Yessssss! Were we all miserable? Yesssss! It was all I could do not to say "I told you so!" By Friday, we were all pretty bummed. Mark & I were trying to make it fun for the kids, but everything we did was a disappointment. Most of the waterfalls were just trickles and their nature center was nothing to write home about. Then we had the bright idea of swimming in the lake. Guess what? No swimming allowed so we rented a paddleboat for an hour, but the kids thought that was boring. We finally decided to hike down to the bottom of Fall Creek Falls and swim at the bottom of the falls. You aren't supposed to do that either, but a bunch of people were in there so we just joined in. Mark and I even kissed under the waterfall. Ahhhhh! LOL! If it wasn't for that hike/swim, the total vacation would have been a bomb. We also had Mr. Raccoon visit our camp a couple of times. He came right up to the hammock we were laying in! He never did get any of our food, but there were paw prints everywhere. The good part in all of this is that at least Mark now agrees with me to go in the Fall or Spring next time, preferably Spring when the Falls may be flowing better. I can't wait for the day when we can take a real vacation. Pelee sounds pretty good, Kathy!

We got back from camping on Saturday and I'm still unpacking stuff today. Sunday we went to church and were invited to a scholarship fundraiser in honor of our pastor's wife and son that were killed 2 years ago. The fundraiser is being done through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. We saw a slide show of his family on their last vacation together to Hilton Head. It was on the drive home that they were t-boned by illegal immigrants that ran a stop sign on a rural road, causing their van to roll 3 times. His wife died almost instantly and his 18 mos old son, still in his carseat, was thrown from the van and had massive head injuries. His son later died in the hospital after a pharmacist prescribed an adult dosage of medicine, that caused his little heart to stop. They had pics of his son at the hospital and then later after he passed away with a white teddy bear. Needless to say, we were a mess after watching all of this. Part of it is that we have gotten to know our pastor and he's a really neat guy. The whole situation is just so sad. Ashlyn is really good friends with his daughter, Abby, and so I just told her to give Abby an extra hug today.

However, there is a good part to this story. Our pastor has gone back to the hospital where the error was made and has witnessed to over 300 of their staff. He never sued the hospital, they settled with him instead. Even after this settlement, the hospital gave a lot of $$ to the Sarah and Joshua Barron Scholarship Foundation he set up. He is also being asked to speak to a hospital and/or convention in the Boston area. All of a sudden, these doors are being opened so he can witness to the medical community. It's pretty amazing. He said he just has this urge to put as many hooks in the water that he can to help bring people to Christ. You can tell he is still grieved by what has happened to his family, but his attitude is just amazing. I think only God is capable of helping a mere human through everything he has been through. Obviously this whole thing has been on my mind. I just ask that you keep him(Ridley Barron) and his family(Abby and Harrison) in prayer for continued strength and comfort.

Cindi ~ I love hearing you write about Lance. I'm glad you are enjoying your baby so much. I try to go to jazzercise at least 3 times/week. And yes, we will have to plan a lunch date. My sister is going to be here the week of September 9-16th. She may want to see Mammoth Cave so maybe we can meet then? I need to call her and find out what she wants to do.

Kathy and Michelle ~ YOu both sounded like you had great vacations!

Kathy ~ Major hugs to you. I'm sorry egg donor is being such a pain again. Just read about that guy reading the letter about Elisabeth...omg! I would be so mad! Have a great time in Atlantic City. :)

Michelle ~ Public school started on August 14th here. I have logged in about 250 hours of school with the kids this summer, but we won't "officially" start until after Labor Day. A pool! Party at Michelle's house! LOL! I would love to have a pool here. It has been really hot.

Randi ~ I'm terrible at sit ups too. I have a really weak "core". I'm hoping jazzercise will help fix that! Good job on all of the water you are drinking!Happy Birthday to Cody! Oh, and Mark & I will celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary on Feb 26th, 2007. :)

That's all I have time for now. I need to finish unpacking, cleaning, laundry, etc and make sure I have all of my school stuff ready for tomorrow. Hope you are all doing well!

Good Morning, Skinnies!

Well, Jeremy & I have the house to ourselves now. Cody started school today. I can't believe he's in 8th grade!!! And today I have a teenager!!! He can't be 13. It's just not possible!!! NO! I won't allow it. He's still 10 or maybe younger. LOL Sometimes I wish telling myself things like that would make them true, then I'd be at goal already!!! I just need to start treating him like a teen and not a child, then things should go a little smoother. I hope.

Woo-Hoo!!! even with all the junk I put into my body last week, I managed to lose a pound!!! Now if I didn't think it was just water weight, I'd be a lot happier. And just think if I didn't screw up with all that junk would I have lost more??? I'd like to think so. I'm gonna have to get into an exercise routine now that school has started. I only have one child at home instead of two so there's no need for refereeing (sp???). Now as long as I can make myself exercise!!! If the skating rink was opened more than just Tues. nights, Fri. nights, Sat., & Sun. afternoon, then I'd have that to do more often. I hope they offer a winter pass this year. At $5 per session per person it can get pretty costly if we went more than once or twice a month! I will be able to walk more in the fall though, so there's that. Hmmm if I got a pair of roller blades I could skate at the bike park. Darn that won't work unless Jeremy starts riding his bike more & much better.

Kathy~ HAPPY 7TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope it's a great one! Okay Cody turned 13 today I'm gonna need help from someone who has or has had teens. Any advise??? Please send all the prayers and good luck you can!!! Something tells me I'm in for it now. LOL!

Cindi~ Yes it feels good to stay within calories, as long as I get the right foods and not a little bit of junk that takes up all my caloric allowance. It also helps when I get enough water and sleep. I just haven't gotten enough of the sleep part lately, so I'm starting to run down and fall back into bad habits of eating whatever is at hand whenever I see it. You know the "See Food Diet": I "see food" and I eat it. :-(
I thought about putting Jeremy in preschool this year, but then thought he pretty much knows everything that I'd be paying for him to go for and I don't want him in a daycare, so why bother. The only reason I can see for Jeremy going is to get me used to the idea of an empty house and Jeremy used to being around a bunch of kids in a classroom setting before he has to go. He's probably going to be more advanced than his classmates when he gets to kindergarten. Cody was too. Cody was already on a 3rd grade reading level in kindergarten. My boys' brain are just sponges for knowledge! I wish I was. There's still a few things I'd like to learn and for me and my brain learning is more difficult now. (Memory problems due to aspartame: 16+ years of drinking diet soda.)
My b-day is Nov. 6; Rusty's (dh) is June 8; Cody's is today; & Jeremy's is may 11. Rusty & I will celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary on Feb. 27, 2007. Any match up??? lol

Debbie & Joce~ Hope you're okay. Where are you ladies???

Michelle~Did you strap on those skates???? How was the party?? Hope you & Trevor had a good time.

I guess I'd better go get some stuff done now. {{{HUGS}}} to all! Catch y'all later!!!

Happy Anniversary Kathy! TOmorrow is my 8th. I thought you all had been married longer than us for some reason. Today is my sil's 7th Anniv. too. She got married almost a yr. after us.

That's weird, Kathy got married the same day as my sil's (2nd wedding, she had a girl and a boy from her first marriage) and Michelle was born the same day as my brother. Ok, Randi and Debbie, when is your bday and Anniversary or your kids bdays. Probably something same day as someone in my family.lol

I have had something on my mind since yesterday. My uncle who is a very successful pharamcist, he started his own company w/ a few thousand $$ years ago and then sold it for 20 million and has lots of other investments, etc, asked me why I never went to pharmacy school. My sister is a pharmacist and so are a few of my cousins. I said, well, when I went to college pharmacy wasn't the big thing like it is now. THere is such a shortage of pharmacists right now. Then my aunt told me one of the small colleges here has been talking to my uncle about setting up a local pharmacy school(closest one is UofK which is about 75 miles or so away). They said everyone they have talked to about it told them to call my uncle. SO, they did and he has been giving them advice and telling them what all they need to get it going. They are hoping to have it ready for next fall. So, my uncle asked why I don't do that. I said, I wonder what it costs to go there and my aunt said, you could probably get a student loan. I said, you think I can. I am thinking since Danny makes decent money I couldn't get a student loan. My uncle said, don't worry about that I can help you out. He has a lot of ties in the banking business, so I am guessing that is what he meant. He told me that kids are graduating and starting off making $110,000 a yr. I would love to do something like that, but don't know if it is really for me. But, here I sit w/ 2 degrees and doing nothing w/ either. ONce my kids are in school I might be able to do something w/ one of them, but I need to do some workshops and stuff. SO, I think should I just do some workshops and get my license to become an interpreter to make $25-$30 an hour where I can make my own hours or put all this money and time into ANOTHER degree where I can make mega bucks, but then have added stress, etc. AFter typing all this it seems like I have answered my own question. Sign language is what I love to do it is just that I have lost so much of my skills since I don't use it. I get so insecure when conversing w/ the deaf now. I go back and forth w/ it. But then I think that if I made a lot of money it would really change our lives. No more money stress. We could do what we want, not worry about the cost of high school or college. But, getting a pharmacist degree isn't exactly easy, then there's the boards you have to take. NOne of it is guaranteed. It is a lot of work, but nothing worth having is free or easy. I don't think Danny wants me to do it because I have already gotten a degree or 2 and I think he thinks I should just do something w/ that. Maybe if I do that and later want to pursue a pharmacy degree he prob. wouldn't have any problem w/ it. I think he just knows me and I don't stick w/ anything for a long amount of time. I know this isn't something I have to decide on now, but when something like this comes up and I start thinking about it and getting excited then that is all I can think about.

I think I will email my professor from my sign language courses, he is also a good friend, and ask him what he thinks I need to do if I want to pursue a career in sign language whether it be interpreting or just working w/ the deaf and tell him what my insecurities are and see what he suggests. Now that Lance is pretty much weaned I can go out of town weekends at a time to do the workshops and things that have been holding me back. I think they will be starting up again soon. I guess I feel like I need to be doing something now that my kiddies are starting school and Lance will be there before you know it. I would really like to know what I am going to do by then. Because here I am trying to figure out what I can do to make extra money, so I am cleaning a house and doing embroidery and whatever else when I could be doing something w/ my degree to be making some really good money. Decisions, decisions.

Thanks for "listening", if anyone has any insight for me let me know.

Lance is fussing I better get going.

TTYL,
Cindi

Good Afternoon, Skinnies!!!

Well, I survived yesterday (the big party). Unfortunately the diet didn't! I really blew it! 2-3 cups of punch (rainbow sherbet & Sprite) and 2-3 pieces of cake (that I knew I really didn't need). Plus one scoop of ice-cream and a handful of candy! Breakfast yesterday was powdered donuts, an apple, & a glass of skim milk. Lunch was about 1/3 of a pound of BBQ chicken breast chunks & some potato wedges! I can't believe I screwed up sooooo much. After doing so well! On top of all that I didn't get to bed until 2:30 am this morning! Then had to get up at 7:45 am for church! I think I'm going to bed at 7 pm tonight!!! LOL. 9pm wouldn't be too bad though.

Well, enough of my griping about my horrible choices yesterday. Hey I did get in 8 glasses of water somehow! That's a plus at least. Now to start over tomorrow. And try to get better today.

I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I'm honestly a bit too tired for personal shouts. I need to go see if I can make myself exercise or clean. The kids didn't make too much of a mess and most of it got cleaned up yesterday but I think we'll be finding confetti for weeks! At least the couch is dry from the indoor watergun fight that happened before I could get everyone outside! It was a madhouse around here! But everyone had fun. Next year we're doing a skating party!!! lol.

Gotta go. {{{HUGS}}} to all! Catch y'all later. Hopefully when I'm not so tired. ;-)

Good Morning!

The kids got up early this morning. I guess they are already getting used to getting up early for school, so they go up early today too. I needed to sleep because I was up late embroidering. I was hoping Danny would get up w/ them since he went to bed before me. He had a busy week though, being out of town and working late, so I guess I will let him sleep in today as long as I get to tomorrow or a nap later today.

I am going to try a spinning class today. I have never done one and am kind of nervous about it. THis class that is offered today is called Strength ride. They keep your heart rate between 75 and 85%, which I usually do on the t/m, so I should be fine. I don't know why I am nervous. I guess I will just do what I can. I am looking for a class I like on Saturdays that doesn't include weights since I do that already 3 or 4 days a week. My arms and shoulders are tired. Actually, my legs are too, but they just have to get used to it.

Michelle~No,I didn't see what bit him. It did raise up like a mosquito bite, but last night it was gone. I was just surprised how bad it hurt him because he was really crying and saying it hurt.

My house is a disaster. I just had most of it cleaned 2 days ago, but whenever I get on the embroidery machine they destroy it. SO, I really need to get it clean and only embroider when they are at school and Lance is napping otherwise Lance will just walk around pulling everything off the desk, table, counter, scatter toys. He is a little tornado all by himself.

My goal today is to get the house cleaned up, laundry done and finish my embroidery. But, I also wanted to take the kids to the pool since it is open on the weekends, Daniel had soccer orientation and he wants me to get him some new shoes, since I got Sarah and Lance some last night. I found some cute shoes for him, but need to have him there for size. Target has some brown and black shoes, the same shoe in both colors that are slip on, but kind of dressy, can be worn w/ either dress clothes or jeans or khakis. He had some when he was little and they were so cute. I need to pull them out to see if they fit lance yet. Lance has the fattest little feet. I had to buy him new sandals in a size bigger just so he had something to get those chubby things into.lol I had a hard time getting the tennis shoes on him, so I might go see if they have a bigger size. THey don't have wide width in his size. My other 2 have skinny feet, so i am sure his will thin out over time. PRobably just as he gets to the size that has wide width.lol

Guess, I am rambling now, just too much to do and not really wanting to do any of it:(

I'll talk to you all later.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Cindi

Oh, yeah, I wish Danny would take all 3 of my kids, so I could be home alone and get something done. My niece is here, maybe I can bribe her into helping me and I will take them to the pool.

Oh ok, I thought I missed his big first day of kindergarten. Kindergarten will get here though in the blink of an eye. With Lance too. I wonder what that was that bit him. Did you see a bite? I was trying to think what it could of been, and I couldn't come up w/anything.

And girl, you are on the ball today! You go girl!

Dh took the boys golfing this morning. And I sat on my rear for most of the morning. I was just enjoying the peace and quiet. Like I didn't have anything else to be doing. HA

Well, with that said, I'd better get something done.

Daniel's in Pre-K at Sarah's school. It starts when she starts and he gets out at noon. Kindergarten is next year and it is all day. Today, my sil's mom brought him home. He rang the doorbell and when I opened it he was standing there w/ his backpack on just smiling like a big boy. He came in threw his backpack down and said, I am all sweaty.

Daniel just came in crying that a bug bit him. He has a bump where it bit him. HE said it was a super big beetle. I don't know what it was. But, he said it hurt to walk. I think he meant because he was holding his arm up when he walked. SO, he wanted ice and a band aid. He had a bottle of hot water on it. SO, I gave him an ice pack. Then I put baking soda on it in case there was a stinger or something in it since I didn't what bit/stung him. So, then I put a band aid on it and gave him pain med. I called the dr. but they are at lunch. SO, I will watch it. If it starts looking funny I will call the dr. back.

I need to get to the store before picking up SArah.

75 min. cardio/toning class done

50 oz of water done!

Good morning.

Cindi~thanks for the info. Yeah, I figured she'd be going soon too. She's been in the bottom 3 for weeks now. So, ok, did I miss something? Is Daniel in kindergarten too? Did he just start? Sarah is in 1st grade, right? Wow, all these questions for you so early in the morning. LOL But I know what you mean about Daniel acting all big boyish. Yesterday when I bought Kade his back pack, oh, he was so proud.

Randi~Trevor has a skating party this Sunday. Maybe I'll strap some skates on and whirl around the rink a few times for some exercise. Good for you staying w/in your calories.

Well, better go shower and get ready for the day.

Have a great day.

Good Morning!
Michelle, WHAT? YOU DIDN'T WATCH IT EITHER??!! Darn it! I watched it and then went to put Daniel back in bed and missed to was voted off! I was planning on you telling me, but kept forgetting to get on here to ask. Guess I will have to to try to find it on the internet.lol

You had me crying too, just thinking about Kade going to kindergarten. I can't imagine when Lance goes and it will be here before I know it. Time flies way too fast. I bet he is excited. Daniel walks in w/ Sarah in the morning. THey go to the cafeteria together where they meet up w/ their classes before going to the classroom. HE thinks he is big stuff now. It is so cute.

Kathy~I can understand why you wouldn't say anything to the guy. It is rude, but if he had to move them that is better than what I was picturing him doing. Going through stuff just cause he was bored. Sarah's first day was a 1/2 day. So, she got off at 1pm. A normal day is 7:50-2:40, so Danny leaves here by 7:30 w/ both kids and drops them off, then I pick Daniel up at noon and I leave before 2:30 to get Sarah. Steve and Patty are sending Skylar to St. Martha this year too, so we are going to carpool and my sil is sending her son to Pre-K there, so her Mom and I are going to carpool, so I have one day I don't pick up either kid, then I have a day I only pick up the Pre-K's at noon, then a day I only pick up the 2:30 group, then a day I pick up at noon and 2:30 then every other Friday I pick up at noon and the other Friday I don't pick up anyone. SO, everyother week I don't have to pick up at all twice that week. So, on the Friday I don't have to pick up anyone I will clean my mil's house and the picker uppers will take my kids home w/ them and I will pick them up after I am done cleaning. COnfused yet?lol I have to write it all down, so I know when to go get them. My sil's Mom is picking the boys up today, so I can get some embroidery done. I got some done yesterday, but I really need to get paid, so I need to finish what I have ordered. I made the cutest beach towel yesterday for a little girl's 2nd bday. My sil orders a lot from me for gifts.

Yes, they do grow fast. I can't believe how much he is learning already. He is really trying to figure stuff out. When we go to the chiro. he always goes right to the adjusting table and looks underneath and grabs the little handles and pulls and does what he can to figure out what all that stuff does. He is so inquistive right now. He is going up and down stairs now too. I still have to be real careful w/ the stairs becuase I am not comfortable just letting him go up and down w/out me there. He walks around like he owns the place.lol

Randi~Doesn't it make you feel good to stay w/in calories? I have been inputting my calories on fitday.com and keeping up w/ it everyday. I like it because after dinner if I am still hungry I check to see how much I can eat.lol Then I don't eat for 2 hours before bedtime. That has really helped me.

So, girls how you all doing w/ water, exercise and caloric intake??? I weigh in on Monday, so I will let you know the verdict then!

Have a wonderful day!

Good Evening, Skinnies!

I just need to jump on quickly tonight and say hi. I hope everyone doing well. I actually stayed within my calorie range today!!! The 1st time in 3 days! I actually got some toning in tonight too.

I'm swimming again! I've gotten 11 glasses of water today!!! Yea me!!!

Well, Cody wants to go skating again tomorrow so we're gonna see what we can do. I plan to try out a pair of blades again this time. We also have to go shopping for the rest of Cody's school supplies and school clothes so I'm not sure if we'll get to go skating. I sure hope so. We all had fun Tuesday when we went.

Cindi~ That's cute about Lance's favorite word. I just loved it. Jeremy even laughed when I told him. I think I may have to have a party for one or both of the boys at the rink too. I think they'd like it. I just wish I'd thought of it for Cody's. He keeps complaining they won't have anything to do since we don't have enough badmitton rackets. We do have horseshoes and a volley ball though. And I just bought a Twister game! I don't think they'll be too bored.

Debbie~ Haven't heard from you in a while. Hope you're doing fine.

Joce~ Hope you're well too. Where are you keeping yourself???

Kathy~ Well, I plan to try out the inlines again. Haven't been on them in 4 or more years!!! Wish me luck!

Michelle~ Yep I was plenty sore the next day! It was partly due to falling twice, but I found I had muscles I didn't know existed! LOL. I know how you feel about Kade in kindergarten! Jeremy goes next year and I'm already getting teary about it! Just think how I'll be next fall!!! I'm gonna be using an entire box of kleenex the first day of school next year. And Cody will be going into high school then! So {{{HUGS}}} to you, Girl!!!

Well, it's pretty late and I need to get to bed before midnight. I hope everyone has a great morning tomorrow. I have a feeling my day is going to be pretty busy. I still have a party to get ready for too! And a cake to order and a lot of other stuff on my "To Do" list! I hope to be able to get on sometime tomorrow. {{{HUGS}}} to all! Catch y'all later!!!

Hey girls. My mom and I took the boys to the mall in Beaumont today and got the boys their school clothes. Did I tell y'all I ended signing Kade up for kindergarten? I don't remember. I'm a basket case and crying off and on thinking about my baby starting school. He is so excited though. ANd also had a grin from ear to ear while shopping for his clothes.

Cindi~yes, those are the cups. I love them! That turquiose color is such a pretty summer color. And that is SOOOOO precious about Lance. Sounds like a smart boy.

Randi~yes skating definitely burns calories. Last time I skated, I was sore the next day. Pretty sad, huh?

Cindi~i missed who got booted last night on Rockstar. Was it Patrice?

I've got a mountain of laundry for tomorrow. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?

Well, gonna go straighten a little bit and hit the hay.

Hello.

Randi - Skating sounds like a blast. I haven't done that for ages! I did try inline skating. I was ok, as long as I didn't have to stop!

Cindi - THat is cute with Lance & Go! It just seems like you guys were just pregnant! What's he doing walking & talking? What time does Sarah go to school & get home? Seems like it was early, if she was already home when you posted yesterday. My elementary kids leave at 9 and don't get home until 4. Justin leaves at 8 and gets home at 4. Aaron will have to ride the bus this year, at least for a while, and will leave at 7 and get home at 3. He thinks he is way too cool for the school bus, but has to have his learners for 6 months before he can get his license.

About the letter, I decided not to say anything. I guess he picked up the papers to clear off the island(legitimate thing to do-he told me the stuff would need to be moved) then human curiosity took over when he saw the letter. It wasn't anything negative about us, but still. Just rude. I think he did know I saw him. He stammered a bit and then started telling me how he moved the fruit basket & papers so they wouldn't be in the way of lifting the window over the island.

got to go. Window guy needs me.

Good Afternoon!

The kids first day went well. They are upstairs playing and Lance is eating and I am about to straighten up this pig pen before Danny gets back in town tonight. I am going to a class at the gym at 4:30 too.

MIchelle~I do have one or 2 or 3 or 4 of those cups.lol Is is the insulated tumbler w/ dripless straw seal lid? I have one in blue, orange and red, ok, so only 3. I carry them everywhere, but they don't fit right in my new van's cup holder. I don't like the cup holder. None of my cups fit great in there. THey are for people that carry small cups I think. No, I don't watch Big Brother. I have seen it a few times, but never got into it. I am really in to Rockstar though. I like Dilanna(sp?) or Storm for female and Magni(I didn't like him at first though) for guys. I do like Toby, but don't think he is right for them. And Ryan, I kinda like him. I think Patrice will finally go this time. Well, her or Zayra.

Kathy~I would be a bit steamed too. SO, did he see you see him, did you move it, or did he just move when you walked in? I am just wondering what a guy does that is caught in that situation. That is terrible. I would say something too, I think.

Randi~I haven't been rollerskating since my niece's bday party a few years ago. It was fun, but not like riding a bike. We fell a few times. My dad was so sore the next day. It was hilarious to see him on roller skates. I will have to have one of my kids parties there, just to see him skate again.lol I have a thirstquake tumbler too, ok, a couple. I do like those because they are 32 oz and the others are 24 oz. SO, I try to carry those too. The more the better for me.

I have to tell you all a funny story. Lance's favorite word is GO. HE says it in many different contexts. He says it so much that I hardly even pay attention anymore. Usually, when he says it he wants to go outside. But, if he gives me something he will say it like here you go? You know changing the intonation of the word. SO, I just walked in the kitchen because was fussing in his high chair and I heard him saying, GO? I looked at him and he had his hands over his eyes, saying go, like where did Lance go? It was so cute. I have never seen him do that before. It is funny how he uses that word for so many dif. situations. When I am holding him and he wants down. I put him down and he says, Go, go, go, go, go as he's running w/ his arms straight out behind him.

I better get him, he is fussing again.

Good Afternoon, Skinnies!

Just a quick, "Hi" to let you know I'm not going MIA. I just got too busy yesterday to get on the computer. We went skating and then shopping. It was Jeremy's first time on skates!!! He had a blast! I was so proud of him. He looked so cute out there trying his hardest! I haven't been skating since I was pregnant with him. So it's been 4 years!

And Thanks to the skating and getting sweaty I ended up getting in 80 oz of water yesterday! so far only 24 oz. But I really haven't wanted to drink much else lately, so I'll get enough today too I think. NOw if I can just get my fruits and veggies in (esp. the veggies).

Cindi~ Well, I'd say I got some exercise in yesterday too. Rollerskating burns about 350 calories per something hour? 1/2 hour? I'll have to find out. I sure had fun though. Too bad they're not opened every day! And I can't remember if my butt hurt yesterday or not I was nursing a bumped elbow and aching back. I fell twice yesterday...once on my back (the sore elbow) and once on my face (the sore back-believe it or not lol).

Debbie~ Hope you're doing well.

Joce~ How's the weaning going? Hope everything's good with you.

Kathy~ Well: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!! early. How many years is this for you two? If you don't mind me asking. Hope you have a great time!!! The 21st is Cody's 13th birthday and the poor boy has to go to start school on it. We're having his party on the 19th. I'd be more than steamed!!! I'd be having a word with his supervisor and probably a few choice words for him too! Then I'd probably kick him out of the house to go stand in the driveway or something! The nerve of that guy!!!

Michelle~ Yea! a pool! I want one, but we don't have room for it. :-(
Is your Tupperware cup a 32 oz. Thirst Quake Tumbler? I have one of those. I just haven't used it lately. Right now I'm just using a cup I got from one of our state parks and it holds about 16 oz at a time. That way I at least have to get up and move to refill it. LOL.

Well, so much for a quick, "Hi". LOL I just had to go ahead and send out my shouts! Well, now I've got to go get the house straightened up. Bible Class here again tonight! Keep up the water, Girls!!! I'll try to be on here later for an update. {{{HUGS}}} to all!!! Catch y'all later!

good morning.

Boy am I steaming!!! THe guys are here to put in the last window. It is a 15 foot bay window & is going to be a beast to install. So...they are just standing around waiting for the truck to deliver the window. I walked into my kitchen & this guy was hunched over the counter reading a personal letter - that had been covered up by other stuff!!!!! It was from a doctor concerning Elisabeth being abused by her mothers boyfriend & the doctor testifying in this custody case. I can't believe he had the nerve to shuffle thru my papers & read that!!!

Better go walk around to cool off.

Good morning girls. Yes, I got all my water yesterday. I have to. It's so flippin hot here. I took the boys to the pool yesterday. If you were not sitting in the pool, you would sweat. I'm not talking a little glisten here and there, I'm talking dripping w/sweat sweating like a pig. LOL

Cindi~are you watching Big Brother too? If so, that Will cracks.me.up. Dh and I usually stay home too for our anniversary.

GOod Evening!

My water is almost done. I got 50 min on t/m done and a 55 min. weight training class done! I logged all my food on fitday yesterday and today and staying under my max calories. So far so good. I plan on trying to keep this up for 5 weeks like I did last year at this time when I lost that 25lbs. I don't have 25 to lose this year, but would like to see what I can do if I stay serious w/ food and exercise and water for 5 weeks or so. I will see how long I can do it. The only problem is Labor Day falls in there. For some reason one of the best times for me to stick to a plan is when the kids are starting school. I guess because we are home more and it is easier to eat op when I am home more. I am trying to figure out a new workout schedule. SOmething that still allows me to be home to get stuff done when the kids are at school, yet also allows me to be home to get homework done, dinner and bedtime. Hmmm, that will be a hard one. I wish I was an early riser, so I could get up and do a 5:30 am spinning class. Oh well, I will figure it out.

Kathy~So, your Anniversary is Aug. 21st? Did I know that? Mine is Aug. 22nd. It will be 8 yrs for us. We made it through that 7 yr itch. THat's what got Danny's first marriage.lol We are staying here. I am not even getting a babysitter this year. I am going to put the kids to bed and make a nice healthy dinner for us here at home. Probably filet mignon and grilled shrimp and veggies and maybe a baked potato or salad. I don't usually eat that much food at night, so I will just have a little of ea. I guess. I would love to go somewhere, but I figure our "Anniv. trip" can be when we go to Hollywood in Oct. We have been out so much lately, so I don't feel like I need to get out. I am missing my Mom's night out tonight too. But, I am ok w/ it. As long as Danny takes the kids somewhere to give me a little break when he gets back in town. We have been doing a lot as a family lately too, so that's been nice.

I just put the kids to bed, so I am going to go relax and read until Rockstar comes on.

Take Care,
Cindi

I have my 100 oz of water!!!! First time I've done that in so long!! yay me!

Today I got my stethescope & assorted scissors, watch, etc. My mom insisted on buying them for me. She is so proud of her little girl. lol I did get the better stethescope. One was $65 and the next one was double the price, but was much better hearing quality. I'll need all the help I can get! It even came with a CD on different sounds we'll be listening for. They ingraved my name on it. WOOHOO We all start back on the 28th.

Cindi - good luck with your school starting tomorrow.

Michelle - Are yours already going? I forget...sorry! ;0

Randi - WTG on your exercise. THat's what I need to do. I hope that once school starts, I'll be here on Tuesdays & Thursdays alone...that will be my days for studying & exercising. You asked when our anniversary is...it is the 21st. We'll be in Atlantic City, NJ - Harrah's Casino & Hotel that Monday night. We got a package that includes the Broadway production of Hairspray. Sounds like fun.

Jocelyn - What's the weather like over there? What have you decided about b/f? Are you going to try stopping?

I was back up in the 150's, but have gotten back to 149. It is much easier to not eat when Rick is away. He'll be gone until Friday evening, so maybe I will drop a couple of pounds this week. I am having a hard time with him being gone this time. When he was in NJ all the time at the beginning of the year is when we were having problems. NJ just has bad vibes for me. He did ask us to go with him, but I really didn't want to. It would have been awful in the hotel room for a week with 3 kids! So, I might be whining on here a lot this week.

Guess I should go feed these kids. Hmm...how's cold cereal sound? lol

Cindi~I drink my water out of that Tupperware cup that is turquoise and keeps the drink cold. I forgot what it is called but I bought one for $17 and got the 2nd free. :) Love those deals.

I think I'm going to mow today. I just have to mow a little of the back since there's a hole now. Shouldn't take me long.

Yes!! I got my water! I also did 60 min. on the t/m, but didn't get my Pilates done. I am still sore from Sunday's class though.

Michelle~How exciting to be getting a pool. I didn't know you all decided on that. YEA! I know you will get much use out of that down there. We will have to come visit.

Kathy~I am on my second cup of coffee so far, but then I will start on my water and carry the cup w/ me all day. So, get a big cup, fill it up and make sure you have it everywhere you go!!

Randi~WTG! That is great! That is a lot of bathroom squats. YOur buns will be sore today.

How about everyone get some type of exercise in today. Even if it is 15-20 min. Do something to get your heartrate up.

Sarah had a sleepover last night at Skylar's house and Danny is out of town, so Daniel ended up in my bed. We all got up around 8:30-9:00. I have so much to do around here, but Lance is keeping me busy. He is in to everything and leaves messes where ever he goes, now that he can reach the top of the table and counter top! I do have to get bills done today. I better get started on them.

School starts tomorrow, maybe I can get something done then. Of course, Lance is still here. He is so cute though you can't get mad at him. In my "spare time" I will get an album together to send out.

Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning, Skinnies!

Hope everyone had a good day yesterday. Mine went pretty good 'til we went to Fazoli's for lunch!!! I can't say no to their garlic breadsticks!!! I had 4! They're 150 calories each! And that's not to mention the pasta, alfredo sauce, and garlic shrimp I had! At least dinner was just a salad.

Well, I gained a pound this week. I'm thinking it's a combination of yesterday's lunch and TTOTM. "Aunt Flow" came to visit this morning! YUCK! Oh, well.

Cindi~ I feel better since I started getting more water! I may be going to the bathroom a lot, but hey, I'm flushing out all the yucking stuff! I've drank 4 glasses so far today. Maybe I'll get in 10 today.

Michelle~ I'll try your challenge! I'm at 32 right now. I might can make it.
Darn! I missed the meteor shower. I doubt I could have seen anything from here in town anyway. :-(

Good Morning Girls!

I really need to start getting myself to bed earlier now that school is starting. I got the kids to bed early for the first time last night. Sarah was in bed before 8pm. She was so tired. She said, I want to go to bed because I am so tired. She said, I did't sleep long last night, I only slept long enough to have 2 dreams. She is so cute. She woke up at like 7am yesterday or maybe earlier. SHe said it was still dark out. I guess one of her dreams woke her up and she couldn't go back to sleep. So, she slept good last night. Then Lance woke up around 8 or so, so Danny came and mad me get out of bed. So, I have had my coffee, now I need to get started on the water.

Michelle~I'll do the 100 oz challenge w/ you. I have been drinking a lot of water and getting in 1/2 my body weight, but for some reason I woke up a bit swollen today, so I need to get the 100oz in. I guess Aunt Flo might have something to do w/ it. She should be gone soon, hopefully tomorrow. I hate having her back in my life.lol So, did you see the meteor showers?

Kathy~Danny left this morning won't be back til Wed. night. I don't mind him being gone a few days. The kids and I do what we want on my schedule.lol I come home when I want, don't worry about fixing dinner. I can just cook something quick for the kids and a salad for myself. Then I put them to bed and I lay in bed and read or go to bed early. If I know he is coming home, I tend to stay and wait for him. I do like him being home though when I want to go somewhere though:)

Joce~Well, I went all day yesterday again w/out b/fing and then just now Lance climbed up in my lap and pulled at my shirt, so I gave him his sippy cup w/ milk and he threw it down. He knew what he wanted. I figured since he went all day yesterday w/out then I would give in just once today. SO, I b/f him. I think we missed our window of opportunity at 12 months. I weaned Sarah at 12 months and she was done in a week. I know others that weaned before 12 mo. w/ no problem. Daniel was 16 mo. and I had a hard time weaning him. I started at 14 mo. Other people I know that had a hard time weaning waited til after 12 mo. too. So, I think that is the problem. I figure it took me 2 mo. w/ Daniel and it has been a month w/ Lance, so he should be weaned soon I guess.

The kids start school on Wed. Sarah is so ready. She wants to go tomorrow. I told her we have one more day to play together. I took them to the pool last night and then today we are meeting my friend and her kids at the park after the gym. I didn't tell the kids though. I use fun things as a bribe. If you all are good we will do something fun. They say, what? I say, it depends on how good you are. So far today they have been great, no problems yet, no fighting. THis is my kind of morning. Oh, knock on wood.lol

Michelle~I am glad you get to do what you really want w/ the PTO. I have never really wanted to do stuff like that, but I think once Lance is older and doesn't consume so much of my time that I might get more involved in that type of stuff. My friend is involved in a lot and her kids are the same ages as mine. I don't know how she does it. Except hers are a boy and 2 girls, opposite of me. Maybe the girls are easier on her. Or maybe she just has it together more than me.lol I just can't imagine your house being a mess right now! I am like you though, get me out of here before I start cleaning. I am just waiting for the kids to get in school before I get started on it again. I need to go through the kids rooms and toys. I have projects for danny. I want him to put shelves at the top of her walls to put stuffed animals and dolls on to get them off her floor.

Randi~How are you doing today??

Debbie~How often are you doing jazzercise now? When are we going to get together for lunch? Before it gets cold ok?

Lance just came in here w/ a car and was rolling it around on my back saying, rmmm, rmmm. It was cute. He says ball first thing in the morning. When he says monkey he makes a growling noise and when he sees a dog he makes a grunting noise. He says bite when he's hungry and hot when he sees my coffee or oatmeal. If I feed him something hot, he says hot? I say no, and he eats it. THe next bite he says, hot? I say, no. We go through that for the first few bites before he finally just eats it. I can't remember his other words right now, but it is so cute hearing his little voice. I will have to get some pics out. I don't think I sent out his 1st bday pics yet, did I?

I just realized the time. I better get on the t/m if I want to do it before I go to the gym. I would wait and get on it at the gym, but I like a little break between the t/m and yoga, so I don't overdo it once. I am still sore from yesterdays workout. I wish my body would just release this fat already!lol

I hope you all have a wonderful day. I miss you guys. We need to plan another get together sometime. So, Joce, how long are you there for?

Hello.

Michelle - I was up with you! Did you see any? My brother had a party, we had a blast, but didn't see anything besides hundreds of stars. He is way out in the country & the stars are so bright because there are no lights around. We went to his house & camped. There were probably 18 tents pitched around his property. We had a great site, right on the banks of the stream, which was so neat to sleep beside. The kids had another tent & actually fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillows! We sat around a bonfire & had really nice bourbon slushy's! : ) There were so many kids & dogs there. I think 9 dogs. They all got along great. Winston had a blast. I put some pictures on my sparks page. There is a recent one of Winston, sporting his new haircut. I think he is cuter with long hair, but this is much easier to keep him clean.

Rick left around 6 pm. He will be gone until Friday. It's been a long time since he traveled. He wanted us to go with him, but the windows are supposed to be finished this week & my mom is going away & I'm supposed to keep her dog.

He's calling now...gtg

Good afternoon. It's Sunday afternoon, and we've gotten off to a slow start. None of us woke up before 10:30. :) We stayed up last night till 1:00 to watch the meteor showers. This coming week is the last week before Trevor goes back to school. He goes back the 22nd. When do y'all start?

Cindi~no, I'm not going back to work this year. I took a postion on the PTA that I know will keep me busy. This is what I've always wanted to do, and that was a perfect little job to hold me over till now. You did alot of cleaning. My house has been neglected and it's showing now. I'm putting it off for one more day. Although, I want to get out of the house today b/c if I don't, I'll want to clean today b/c I can't stand it like this. LOL

HI GIRLS!

I started this thread a couple days ago then didn't get a chance to come back. It is good to see everyone.

Yesterday, I had to clean my mil's house. I am doing that for a little extra money right now, since the girl that was doing it quit. I just do it once every other week. THen today had to do mine. I haven' given mine a good cleaning in a few months. It's terrible, but I have been so busy this summer and have a toddler that keeps me on my toes. SO, not much time to clean.

SO, I spent the whole day today doing bathrooms, laundry, the kitchen, basement, etc. I even got some Murphy's soap and cleaned all my cabinets and vanities. They are all pretty and shiny now. I hate seeing dried up toothpaste and stuff on them. My kids are slobs when it comes to brushing their teeth. I got a lot done, but will probably finish after the kids start school this week. I just wanted to get a lot done before since once they start I will have a few hours a day, but then I will be picking up Daniel at noon and then Sarah at 2:30, so it is hard to really get much done with the day split up like that. I am going to try to get a car pool together though. Especially on the days I go to the gym at noon. Just not enough time in the day!

We took the kids to see Over the Hedge tonight. It was such a cute movie. Lance kept me busy there, but I did see it all til right at the end. I had to take him to the lobby to expend some energy. But, I saw the ending. It was really funny. The kids were so excited to go. We haven't taken them to very many movies. It was their reward for cleaning the basement, toy room and bedrooms today.

Joce~What I decided to do was remove myself from the morning ritual for a week. On weekdays Danny would get him out of bed and take him directly to the kitchen and feed him cheerios and put milk in a sippy cup. THen when I came downstairs he had already eaten, so it didn't really hit him til I sat down and he would want on my lap. Every time he is on my lap he pulls at my shirt. Usually, he is thirsty or tired. So, I would say "all gone" and give him his sippy cup. That makes him mad if he is really tired. So, then I would put him in his bed and let him cry it out there. He would usually fall asleep pretty quickly. If he was just thirsty then milk or water would do the trick. So, then I would just continue that during the day and feed him at night. Well, then I went out one night and Danny put him to bed, so he didn't b/f at all that day. Then the next day we went through the same thing. He still tries during the day and depending on my mood and how tired I am sometimes I will give in, but that is more me having a hard time totally stopping. So, if I really want to wean him I just have to do it. He didn't b/f for 2 days while we were out of town, then I came home and he did 3 times that day. Usually, when I give in it is when he is very persistent and he is usually really tired and I am too tired to fight or am trying to keep him up a little longer for one reason or another. I usually try to time his naps depending on what I have going on that day. Tonight, Danny put him down and I didn't b/f him at all, but I think he did once earlier. So, right now if I were consistent I would probably have him weaned. The question is am I really ready? Probably not. So, I could go to every other day now. I am trying to get him to say milk or water, so when he is thirsty he can say that instead of pulling at my shirt. If he sees his sippy cup, he will just go for that. SO, I think he would be fine if I just finally weaned him.

Oh, and I started yesterday. Luckily, it was morning and I was home. I haven't had any cramping or anything, luckily. I thought the cramps would be bad, since I had some bad ones last week. But, now I am wondering if it was just my IBS acting up because I was eating so bad while we were out of town. My belly is bloated, so I will be curious to see when this is over and I stop b/fing if my belly will go down any. It just seems to be bigger than it was before kids. It isn't huge, but my old pants are a bit tight at the waist but fit everywhere else. They aren't the low rise kind, so I don't really wear them, I just try them on for size. I can get them buttoned, but they are a bit snug. So, I wonder if the b/fing is keeping my belly a bit bigger or if it is just because I have now had 3 kids.

Kathy~Sounds like a great vacation. Poor Winston. Glad he ended up having a great time.

Debbie~Congrats on the 9 lbs. and size 4's. YIPPY!

Michelle~It is so hard to be good in the summer. So, now is the time to lose it before the holidays. The boys will be in school and you will have more time to exercise and tone those arms:) Are you going back to work this year?

Randi~You are doing good. Remember, baby steps. Starting w/ the water is great!

It is late and everyone is in bed. I am getting tired. I had to embroider a baby blanket for my sil. She is picking it up in the morning, so I had to finish it tonight. Danny was asleep by the time I got to bed and then I couldn't fall asleep.

I need to hit the hay now. I am trying a new class at the gym in the morning at 9:30 am. I have never done a Sun. morning class, but when we go to 5pm Mass on Sat. then I can go to the gym on Sun. mornings. I think I like that. Sundays tend to be lazy days for me, so that will get me going. I hope, if I can get up.lol

Not much new happening right now. Not doing so well on water today: only 4 glasses so far. :-( I've been so lazy today. No dishes got done and no laundry either. With the clouds and rain I just haven't felt like doing much. (except spending a lot of time on here lol)

Hi Randi.

Becky did come over here when we first did. She hasn't been around for quite a while. I was hoping to hear from her since she lives pretty close to the part of Ohio we caught the ferry from. It would have been nice to meet her.

Have fun with the laundry & dishes. I did laundry for a whole day & got it finished Tuesday. Unfortunately, it is starting to pile up again.

We are doing the budget thing out of necessity. I am getting really scared about bills piling up & me not working. We need to control things for the next two years until I finish school & can go to work. We did these new windows which were very expensive, but in the long run, will be cost effective. We were loosing so much heat/cool thru the cracks around the old ones. Then we accumulated a bunch of medical bills back in March when Justin was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Bills are still showing up for that. Then, egg doner filed for sole custody, which is such a joke, but we had to put out big bucks for a retainer for the attorney. GRRRRR!!!! She really needs to be neutralized...so to speak! I don't even understand how she thinks after abandoning her children, running off with the man who abused one of them & marrying him, not doing a single thing for them is 5 years, she even thinks she would have a chance of getting custody of them. Besides that, she has had 6 different addresses since she went to Texas. Her complaint says we are not "fit or decent" to raise the children. She is. (Hasn't she proven that?????) So, I get very agitated at wasting money - lots of money - because she is such a &%*$^^$$%^^%(!!!!

Sorry...I needed to vent.

My neck & shoulders have really been bothering me lately. I NEED TO GO TO THE CHIROPRACTOR!!!! but...all my money goes to an attorney instead!

We have a trip to ATlantic city on the 21,22 for our anniversary. Maybe we can go to a casino & will big bucks & solve all of our problems! LOL I know, it really doesn't fit in w/budget, going away, but Rick said since we paid for it before we started the budget talks, we are going to go.

I think I'll go take a short cat nap. Or just have a cup of coffee & rest. I'm feeling very lazy suddenly.

Good Afternoon, Skinnies!

How's everyone today? I'm doing pretty good myself. Just wish my caloric intake had been better yesterday. Oh, well. Today is another day. I'll do better. Especially if I avoid McDonald's!!! I got in 9 glasses of water yesterday, but so far only 2 today. I'd better get to work on that.

Has anyone heard from Becky lately? Is she still with ediets or did she come over here too? I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything.

Joce~ Sorry I can't help on the weaning issue. My boys both weaned themselves. Cody at 3 months and Jeremy at 7 or 8. :-( Wish I knew what to tell you. I've always heard if they can ask for it, it's time to start weaning. But I think you do just take away one time a day for a while and so on.

Debbie~ Happy Belated Birthday to Ashlyn!!! on the 9 lbs!!! okay I'm jealous... I will never ever ever see size 4's on this body even if I reach goal!!! Okay I'm not too jealous. Size 4's would make me look like I was dying or anarexic (sp??). I'm too big boned. I'll be happy if I ever see 8's again. :-) Maybe one day. Sorry to hear about the tooth. I know about shelling out lots of money though. Thanks to our stupid insurance, we now have a $3000 deductible (and that's the low one), so my seizure meds have to be paid for by us ever month and my ostomy supplies. We look at $180 for the Tegretol and about the same or more for the ostomy supplies! At least we're finally close to the deductible.

Kathy~ Happy Belated Birthday to Elisabeth too!!! I really need to get serious with our budget too. I keep saying I will, but never get myself into it. Yep, Cody is my firstborn! He's my first teen. My other one is still just 4. Boy, did God space them out or what?!? It seems all my siblings are like that! At least they are right now. Only the older of my brothers has hit 30 so far. But I still think all 3 of them are like your sister. Shawn can put away the beer and fried foods and not seem to gain an ounce, but if I look at fried foods I gain 10 lbs! I'm with you, Girl! Sounds like you vacation was wonderful!!

Cindi~ Hi!

Michelle~ I'm so far behind on sending out pictures, I think I still haven't sent out the ones from Jan/Feb. or somewhere around there. LOL I've really got to get them all together and on snapfish soon!

Well, gotta go. Need to get laundry & dishes done! {{{HUGS}}} to all! Catch y'all later!

Hello.

I'm all caught up on what's happening in the lives of the Skinnies. Cindi - glad you enjoyed your trips. My 3 youngest love staying in hotels too. It doesn't matter where we are, just as long as they are in a hotel! Especially if there is an indoor pool! I do want to get back in the diet/exercise mode. I haven't been on the scales for awhile. My clothes are fitting the same, so I know I haven't gained a tremendous amount back. We were very active during vacation, but I'll get to that. As I was reading everyones posts, I realized I never told you all about our trip! Not knowing when to expect your period sure is a bummer! I really don't miss that at all!! : )

Michelle - Wow- your trip sounded great. I've never been to Jamica, but would like to go. Did you get your grass mowed? Does your grass ever die out toward the end of the summer & not grow so much? Ours had started to do that, but then we started to get just enough rain to get it all green & soft & growing again! UGH!! You are right. After all of your hard work, you can't let that weight creep back on. YOU ARE OUR POSTER GIRL!!!!!

Randi - Is this your first teenager? Welcome to that wonderful world! LOL I'm with you on coming up with a healthy lifestyle...including healthy eating habits! It does have to be a permanant change. I'll rant here a bit...I have a sister in law who is probably 5"10 and 130 pounds. 20 of that is boobs. She can eat anything, anytime, including beer & never gain anything. Don't we hate people like that! LOL

Debbie - Hope you survive the slumber party. That is what Elisabeth wants to do. We decided to wait on her party because we didn't get invitations out before we went on vacation. Then she couldn't find some phone numbers & it just got to be too late to plan anything. We had a family party. I can't believe that woman showed up at your house days early without so much as a phone call! Glad you enjoyed your other company! Congrats on your little peanut swimming!

Joce - I am ready to come visit you! I just love the pictures you sent! I don't have any advice on weaning. My kids just weaned themselves. I never went past one year. Does he drink from a cup or bottle at all? I guess you just have to start giving him a cup when he wants to nurse. I'd pick one feeding time and start with that. Does he take a pacifier? I know a lot of time, the nursing is "comfort" as well as food. Good luck! How is Wesley doing? I know you were trying to decide what to do about him sleeping in his bed. Is he doing that?

Our vacation was so much fun. We left home on Thursday a.m. about 4 a.m. We drove to Shanksville, PA, where the 9/11 plane went down. There is a very touching memorial there. We have now visited each of the sites. I was aprehensive about starting a vacation that way, but even Hayley realized that there was something hallowed about that place. They were all very respectful and left personal things there at the memorial. We went on to the "original" pancake house outside of Pittsburg & had a wonderful breakfast. We stopped there last year too. They claim to be the first pancake house & have a to-die-for apple pancake. One is enough to feed about 4 people! We arrived in Sandusky, Ohio about 4 pm...in time to go to Cedar Point for the evening. Hayley & Elisabeth are little dare devils. Nothing scared them. They went on ever roller coaster that they were tall enough to ride. They would wait to get the front seat & then hold their little arms up over their heads. It was so much fun just watching them have fun. The big kids went off on their own, so everyone had a riding partner. The next day, we hung out at the hotel pool & then the big kids went back to the park. We decided to skip it because Winston went with us & was totally traumatized by staying in the kennel at Cedar Point. My goodness, he was so upset! Anyway, we took the little girls to see Monster House and then out to dinner. Winston was very happy waiting for us in the van. Fortunately, it was cool enough for him to do that! The next day, we got the ferry for Pelee Island. Our house was right on the beach & surrounded by a big wooded lot. We could sit in the shade and watch the kids on the beach. Someone had a big trampoline/slide out in the water. The kids loved playing on it. (Nobody was around to tell them they couldn't use it!) Like last year, we had the whole beach to ourselves. Angela caught a ferry from the Canadian side of the lake & came over for most of the week. We had such a great time. Next time, I think we will try to go for two weeks. We went and played Bingo on Wed. evening. Hayley won twice. She won about $10. She loved the Canadian money. Again, the cell phones did not work, there was no phone in the cottage. There was a tv, but it was not turned on all week. Rick & I got up early in the mornings and went for bike rides. He was able to do that without pain, so it was fun. One trip around the island is about 19 miles. We did that at least once a day.

Better go. My goofy dog is outside barking like crazy. He had such a good time on vacation...after the kennel ordeal. He just loved the water, but looked so klutzy when he was swimming. None of that smooth retreiver swimming. Must be his poodle part! LOL

Have a great day & bbl

Good morning skinnies!

Cindi~we went to Ocho Rios on our honeymoon, and the beach over there was prettier. The water all over is fine, but i wasn't too impressed w/the sand in Montego Bay. Negril and Ocho is a 3 hr bus ride from the airport and we didn't want to do that w/the boys w/us. We still had a blast though. And yes, we can all do it. When I saw pics from Jamaica, I was so depressed when i saw my arms. Talk about flabbo. Their small, but I don't like the way they just "hang" there. You know? I guess that's what lack of toning will do to ya.

Kathy~glad y'all had a fun time on your vacation. I need to go get Trevor's school supplies. I haven't started on anything and he goes back on the 22nd.

Joce~good to "see" you. Can't wait to see new pics. Those boys of yours are just getting so big.

I really need to send out new pics of my boys. Mine are getting big too. They both had their bdays this summer. They are now 7 & 5. I can't believe. I did for sure decide to hold Kade one more year and start him in kindergarten next year. Although, I did want them to only be 2 school years apart, I really think this is best for him.

Do any of you have a bowflex or have been around one? Dh wants one and I do too. I was just wanting input.

Better go hit the shower and get this day started.

BBL~

Hi girls...I put this on the July one so wanted to copy and paste it in here! I made a Spark page and added some pics but am not seeing any on my profile..maybe that is a different thing. I'll have to search around on here some more.

Hi Skinnies,

I meant to give you the weight loss/nursing report when I was on but I got too carried away. LOL. I was wondering about you Cindi - now I see what you are up to in that department. I KNOW you already lost all the weight, UGH!!! I am still hovering at 165 lbs where I have been ever since Tommy was 2 weeks old. UGH UGH UGH. He is now 15 1/2 months old. And doens't show signs of letting up on nursing!! Its still 3-4 times a day. I am not sure how to go about it since I have never weaned a child...any advice? I figure its one time per day for awhile til thats normal, then another time til eventually he's not doing it much like Lance, and then not at all. Sigh. I am still so hungry with him nursing and I think thats why i can't budge this 165 mark. I didn't go past 170 til I stopped pumping milk for Wesley (when I signed up and found you all!) Then i was already in size 8s when Wesley was the age Tommy is now. Oh how depressing.

Well I better get T out of the tub.

Good Morning girls!

I am about ready to hit the t/m. Just wanted to pop in here first.

Michelle-That is where we stayed, Montego Bay. I would like to visit another part if we go again. I loved it though. I got up to 150 again too, actually 153, but most of it was water because I dropped back down to 150 pretty quickly. We can do this together. I think you, Kathy and I are all probably around the same and have the same goals, so let's do it!

I need to hit the t/m before Lance wakes up.

TTYL,
Cindi
