How recently, has it been going on for a few days, a few weeks, or a few months, if it's just been a few days or even a couple of weeks, she may be getting a new tooth or a minor illness.

Both of my children when they were getting teeth or had a little cold would cut back on their eating and only eat one or two things. My daughter *never* ran a temperature, but I always knew when she was sick because she would drastically cut back on her food intake and she's not a very good eater to begin with (my daughter has special needs though which contribute to her eating problems). My son did run fevers, but it was almost always preceeded by a day or two of slacking off on the food. They both did the same when they were getting teeth too.

So first I would check her gums and if you think she might be coming down with something get her checked at the doctors.

It may just be the age too, kids go through phases. Their appetite decreases and increases, they get picky, etc. Continue to offer the other foods at every meal and snack. Offer them first and give her about 5-10 minutes before offering her the drink or yogurt. If you are very concerned you could always get some pediasure, but it is pretty expensive and it won't help widen her palate any.

I know a while before my daughter turned 2, her appetite decreased a lot. So, you may be dealing with that stage.
Check out BabyFit.com and see if they have any suggestions there, to help you implement new food ideas.
I was lucky enough to be blessed with a child that has always, and still will eat healthy food before junk food.

Hi Raseco,

You can check out our sister site www.babyfit.com - there are great message boards over there with moms to toddlers and an abundance of information that can point you in the right direction. Have you talked to your daughter's pediatrician for alternatives and additional suggestions?

Another site that may be helpful is www.kidshealth.org

Happy feeding!

My daughter has been GREAT until recently. Right now, all she wants is yougart and some fruit, Kefir (that's a drinkable form of yougart for those that don't know it), and stage 2 formula. She used to eat every fruit and veggie I put in front of her. I stay away from junk food for her, she's had a fry and a piece of chicken mcnugget, but for the most part she LOVES the fruit and yougart parfeits from Mcdonald's. But finding other things for her to eat is driving me crazy! I have limited food in my house and really that's all I want her to eat! Any suggestions for me? I'm tired of filling her up with yougart and veggie/fruit puffs, which she absolutely loves.
