See I was 230 and I didnt get diabeties and wasnt high risk. I did almost miscarry at 8weeks but that was totally unrelated. I highly reccomend you do loose weight to have another just as I am but remember that every pregnacy is different!

I was only 200 when I got pregnant with my daughter and was considered high risk. I developed gestational diabetes and had to be induced early for my daughter's health. Hence the reason I'm determined to get down to a healthy size before I have another. I did start a spark team page for those of us losing weight for a baby, you can find us here: http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_individual.asp?gid=2273
It's called losing weight for baby, it's public and I'd be happy to have you join us!

Sounds like you have a good plan then.

You could come and join us on the "OUR labor day challenge everyone welcome" in the challenge section. Just enter your current weight, and a goal weight to be by Labor Day, and weigh in once a week and tell us your progress. Everyone there will help keep you motivated and on track to reach your goal. Vegasgirl was 348 and only 5'2" now she is at 201.5 and still wants to be about 125. One other just lost about 12 LBS in a week!!! I think she is also over 300 LBS. so you are not alone in this battle.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice. I am actually thinking along the same lines as you. I am currently 386lbs and its awful. I have many health complications which i am sure are due to the weight. I was 274 when i got pregnant the first time and 315 when i gave birth. I have made it a goal to get back to 274 before trying again. Its a lot of weight to lose , so i have to keep smaller goals, to avoid being disapointed. My ideal goal weight would be 200lbs ( I am almost 6feet tall). Thanks again for your advice though and good luck to you on your weight loss journey as well.

I too would try to loose some before you try again. It will be better for both of you.
I am 33 and having my second (AND LAST) I was 31 for my first, and I have been married for 14 years! You still have some time.
