Thank you for all the wonderful reminders as to why I should stick with my program. :)
Spark actually has a sister site called BabyFit that's intended for a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy. But you can't set anything up until you are actually pregnant, so right now, I'll stick with here. I did try to go to BabyFit to see how it compared to Spark. Looks like it's pretty much the same, just has the pregnancy angle. :)
Last time, I was down to 2 lbs BELOW my pre-pregnancy weight at *9 DAYS* post-partum. But I gained back nearly 25 lbs not long after I stopped breastfeeding. I'm determined to not allow that to happen next time!

Remind yourself that the weight you put on with pregnancy is not fat, it is baby/ placenta/ fluid etc... You should be able to maintain a healthy weight in pregnancy. Use Spark to help you achieve the healthy lifestyle you will need during pregnancy. Also, by keeping fit your pregnancy will be smoother, and hopefully labor too. That is another great resource you can use from Spark.

| We are hoping to TTC baby number 4 next year. But I so want to get my pregnancy weight off first from baby #3! My goal is November to get the weight off. Then hopefully April begin TTC, depending on finances.

If you maintain a healthy pregnancy you will lose the thirty pounds or so right after giving birthor within six weeks A caring doctor will in fact warn you to only gain what is require for the baby and the babies life support placenta etc.. the march of dimes has a great article on pregnancy and weight gain if you care to check it out you can find it here http://www.marchofdimes.com/pnhec/159_153.asp

Hey,
I am gonna ask a pretty stupid question....what is TTC? I got the pregnancy part, just confused to the TTC.
I am familiar with pregnant....been there twice...gained ALOT with both. I have known several women who maintained their programs while pregnant and who were back to their pre pregnancy weights within 2 months after giving birth.
I would think if you maintained as far as eating right and maybe just daily walking you would be ok. Most women lose a considerable amount of weight within the first 6 weeks after birth. I myself lost 30 lbs in the first 6 weeks after birth with both my kids.
Good luck to you, Pam

I've lost 24.4 lbs since starting with spark, and I'm now below my pre-pregnancy weight of nearly 2 years ago. I'm thrilled! But I still have 59 lbs to go to my goal, and it's looking like we're going to TTC again this fall (which means I won't get to my goal anyway). I know it will make pregnancy easier, and I'll be healthier. But it's so hard to keep motivated about losing weight when you know you will be gaining it back shortly. :(
Is anybody else in the same boat? I made myself a deal that we can't TTC until I meet my 175 lb goal... But it's so sad to think that I'll be up to where I weigh now (at least!) at this time next year anyway...
