I love to walk with the kids when it works out. I try to do it in town though. They seem more willing to walk than. Out here nothing to see so they get bored fast. I do love having those walks by myself though.

Oh yes, the "me too" mentality!

It can be an ordeal for all of us to go for a walk, but it's fun when it works out. We live in a town with a courthouse square so it's fun to walk around looking at the storefronts.

aww I miss the days when I could carry my kids in slings... I sometimes try to stick my 2.5 year old dd in my old one lol but she won't go for it.

I bribe my kids to sit in the jogger lol I tell them we will get to the park faster if they sit in it.. they are now nearly 5 and 2.5! My 5 year old rides a bike but if he rides then the little one wants to ride and she doesn't know how to! LOL

I often use a sling for my youngest. It's a great way to take her along and have my arms free. However, as she's now about 25 lbs, I'm hoping to get a new stroller. My current stroller is 7 yrs old and I'm hoping to get a non-double stroller to take just the youngest with me. It makes the walk a lot more relaxing.

The kids bike riding is great too! When my daughter goes to pre-school we ride there and back, which is 2 times a week.
We also ride to the park most days (but that is only 5 minutes away!)

Your question was very valid... don't put yourself down for asking it!

We do a lot of walking as well. My oldest one prefers to ride his bike instead of walking. My youngest sometimes rides his bike and sometimes will still use the stroller.

oh!!! ok. i was going to say, "ummm... i think you may want to gain some weight". LOL! no one ever said i was the brightest of the bunch. good luck on your walks, my son used to scream at 7:00pm every night when he was younger, i would walk with him and he would love it. now though, i don't have a stroller anymore, so he tends to run off, i have not been taking him as often.

That doesn't sound stupid. Australia weighs in kilograms, so I am about 198 pounds, and want to get down to 145 pounds.

that sounds wonderful. i have to ask though, i noticed your ticker says your are currently 90 and your goal is 65. is this in pounds? or is australia different? that just seems very low to me. i hope i am not sounding stupid or anything.

A while ago I started walking in the evenings with my daughter (and it is winter here in Australia). She has grown to love rugging up in her stroller, and relaxing for an hour or so.
Now, I have no choice but to walk pretty much every night. She harrasses me to no end if I hint that I can't be bothered!
It's a great way to ensure I get my cardio nearly every day.
