That must be so hard on you. Is there a way you can get him to meet some people from a diabetes foundation, that have been through the worst of it, and hopefully impact on him?

Good for you for working on your health! It sounds like you are really doing all you can. A lot of people don't want to make changes that they need to for their health. He might be in denial, he might be scared, he might not realize what all damage can be done by diabetes. Good luck!!

My hubby was diagnosed with Type II diabetes last fall, and unless I keep on him about it he never checks his sugar and he does not watch what he eats. I do the grocery shopping so I maintain a fairly healthy kitchen, but he works full time and goes to school full time and he does not watch what he eats when he is out.
I have several risk factors for it so I decided to take control of my weight and my health before it takes control of me. I have been trying to encourage my DH to join me, but he does not seem the least bit interested. He will pig out right in front of me, and I try to point out to him what he is doing, but he does not seem to care. He depends on his meds to control his sugar, but now that is effecting his Liver. How do I get it through his thick skull that his health effects me and our three small kids.
