I am use to cleaning everyone's plates too. I can't stand anything going to waste but I eat too much that way!<BR><BR>Oh geez, talking back and tantrums. I thought screaming and not being able to understand him was bad. I had hoped he could at least tellme why he was mad and that would be better. <BR><BR>My son jumps on me when I do floor excersizes or use any equipment, and then I am afraid he will get hurt.                                                 <td>Hi, I am the mom of three 8, 6, and almost 3, and yes I do think that 3 is worse than 2.  Its that talking back thing, I can deal with a tantrum, but a tantrum with dialogue is much worse, lol.  I have been working with this program for two months now and I have lost 5 lbs, I still have to get my eating on track, but I am doing better now.  The hardest part for me is not eating the food that the <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=kids">kids</a> have left over.  I can just hear my grandmother talking about all the starving children and I clean their plates.  I have been better, but still have a long way to go.

                                                <td>Wow, there are quite a few of us, aren't there?  I have a little boy, he just turned two the beginning of June, and he is a little hellion...  Constantly climbing, into everything he can get his little paws on and some things he shouldn't be able to!  Too smart for his own good too.  When he was a little older than a year he figured out how to climb up on the sofa and undo the chain lock on the front door so he could go out in the hall!  We had to get new chain locks and put them at the very top of the doors.  I agree with everyone else, I don't understand how we can not lose weight chasing these monsters!  Mine is usually very good about letting me exercise, he dances along when I do cardio, but tries to climb on me when I'm down on the floor doing <a href="/resource/exercise_demos.asp?exercise_type=core">crunches</a> or things like that. A big <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=motivation">motivation</a> for me is setting a good example for them, not so much about looks about about <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=healthy-habits">healthy habits</a> and feeling good about themselves. <BR><BR>People all think I'm a total Nazi about their food because we are pretty rigid on good foods and no sugar.  However, while I can control everything they eat right now, I want to get their taste and habits for healthy stuff... they will have plenty of time to eat <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=junk-food">junk food</a> when they older and I don't have the control (like I did!!)<BR><BR>I found that in order to have a regular exercise routine, it has to be before everyone is up or it just does not happen... I get up by 5:00 most days and get my workout done and out of the way... I'm use to it now, but it was hell for a few weeks!

                                                <td>They put me on Welbutrin,, but that really didn't seem to do anything for me,,, I told them before they even put me on it,, My biggest problem, is stress, and that is what they put me on,, as far as hormones go,, every time i have tried to take them, they make me crazy. My mother in law was telling me about one that she is on that she loves,, but I don't know. I even thought about taking estrin D but have decided to try to do the diet thing without the aide of diet pills this time. God knows I have wasted so much money on just about every one they have on the market. I have heard some having troubles losing weight after a total hysterotomy. My mom and g'ma had one so I might one day so I am very understanding for not having had one. Are you on any hormones? JW. Sometimes it can help sometimes hurt. <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=stress">stress</a> is probably the biggest problem... that and maybe depression. Have you looked into that?? I have it pretty bad that's why I asked. Its been my biggest hurdle in losing weight! I tend to be someone who loves carbs and when I eat them in normal portions I lose weight but it is very hard to do esp. being depressed. Would love to say more, esp. more encouraging things but my 2 yr old is about to delete everything I type.

I battled anorexia at the age of 15,, and conqured it YAY ME!!! I have had 5 children,, and before my 3rd was born, I was in pretty good shape. After my third was born, I went to the doc for my 6 week checkup and they told me that I was pregnant again. And 4 months later found out that this time it was twins. Needless to say the weight from the 3rd <a href="http://babyfit.com">pregnancy</a> was still sitting there when I started piling it on again with the twins and for all of you that have had twins,,, you get pretty big LOL It was 2 and a half years ago that they were born, and my life has been a whirlwind sine then. I don't have very many friends,,, just my husband, my <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=kids">kids</a> and my sister. One of my twins is handicapped and spent the first year and a half of his life basically in the hospital. The first time was for 6 months straight at a hospital 2 hours away, and then 9 months later, he was in a hospital 3 and a half hours away for 4 months. I have been up and down with my weight since they were born,,,,, and nothing is working. I have tried exercise, and eating right. As a matter of fact, i did it consistintly for 4 months and only lost 3 pounds. Oh,, i also had a total hysterectomy and pelvic reconstruction 2 summer's ago, at the age of 26. The doc said that my insides were damaged too severely and it had to happen. <BR>The other night, my <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=kids">kids</a> and I were watching home videos, and my oldest who is 9 and very sweet and bright told me that it didn't look like me. I have 30 pounds to lose and it is so hard to see an end in sight sometimes. So try the potty then. Try reading books while she pottys. Let her see you potty. And don't be stressed! that won't help :)

I stay at home and it makes for a long day at times (it is great to be with my <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=kids">kids</a> and I feel blessed with my chance to spend with them), but I find it hard to motivate myself to exercise since I feel constantly drained.  My beginning goals are to do at least 15 minutes of exercise daily and to make sure to drink at least 8 cups of water.  I will be using my <a href="/resource/fitness_articles.asp?id=441">treadmill</a> and stationary bike at home and using dumbells too.  I am so glad I just happened to find this site.  <BR>

                                                <td>I'm mom to a 2 3/4 yo :) goofball and a 7-month old cutie patootie.  I think the BEST gym is one with free childcare.  That's the only reason I can fit in a workout - that and being a SAHM.  Before my 2nd child was born I was working full time, and NEVER got a chance to work out because I wanted to spend all my free time with my kiddo.  Sure we went to the park and I played on the playground stuff with her, went for walks & jogs in the stroller, etc but somehow it's not the same as a focused workout...now that I'm home all the time it doesn't bother me to leave them at the gym's child care area for an hour a day :) and I'm actually about 7 lbs under my pre-preg weight, trying to get to my dream weight...<BR>Hi everyone :)

She is 2.  I know that with my other children, you have them sit on the potty chair about 10-15 min after they have had something to drink.  Even if they don't go immediately, they will eventually when they are ready.

The older one who is 7 can exercise with me if she chooses. I do Walk Away the Pounds in my living room and the few times I have tried with the baby up she marches for a few minutes with me, but really it's harder with her up. I have both girls in "summer camp" (daycare) while I am looking for a job (I just graduated college) so that helps too.<BR> I know it's hard to get the exericse in with <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=kids">kids</a> but it can be done, sometimes creatively, but it can be done.<BR>

                                                <td>Hi, I have 2 yr. old twin girls and a 3 1/2 yr. old boy.  I have discovered the best workout.  I put one girl and my boy in the double stroller and my other girl in a hiking backpack and off we go!  It is really working for me because I'm pushing 60 lbs. in the stroller and carrying 30 on my back and wow what a workout!                                                 <td>My daughter is 2 and half - it's certainly more challenging now to get my <a href="/resource/videos.asp">workouts</a> in, but it's doable (single mom here too).  Somedays I wait till she's in bed - but I risk being too tired.  She'll watch an elmo <a href="/resource/videos.asp">video</a> quietly for long enough to get a strenth workout in, and I often take her in my stroller, and do a 3 mile walk, at 4 mi/hour - that burns 230 cals.  It is possible!  I also have always had her eat what I eat, so no need to make multiple meals in a night - a lack of options cuts down on pickyness (with my BF too!)  We're not alone - but this sure is tiring...

                                                <td>The Dr. Phil method consists of a potty training doll, lots of juice and water, and a special phone call. I can do the elmo voice since that is my daughter's favorite preschool character, but you only let them call if they use the potty which she hasn't so we never got that far. She was amazed at the doll and wanted to give her <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=water">water</a> and watch her go potty on the little chair that comes with the doll, but never translated that into her doing it like it should have. I am thinking maybe I won't put anything on her and let her run around without her diaper or pullups on and see how that works. Potty training almost seems impossible at this point!!! I'll try anything, since I am graduating in about 4 months and should be going back to work. Most daycares here charge extra if the toddler is not potty trained.

                                                <td>Hi--I just started SparkPeople 2 wks. ago, and am excited that I've already lost almost 8 lbs!  That's a first for any diet or workout I've tried!  I have a 2 yr. old little boy who is an amazing bundle of energy!(and has been since birth!)  I, too, am surprised I hadn't lost any weight chasing after him.  I'm having trouble with the excercise---I had a difficult pregnancy, and was put on bedrest for the last 3 months of it (I worked out faithfully until then), then had to have an emergency C-section. From day one, he had trouble sleeping, and he has just recently started sleeping through the night (most of the time).  It took me a good year and a half to get my former energy back! I guess I'm just not used to being active, after all that, so the cardio is really getting me down.  I've always hated cardio (I have no problem with strength training)--the only cardio I've ever enjoyed, I don't have access to anymore...swimming, tennis, canoeing, hiking, skiing, even the <a href="/resource/fitness_articles.asp?id=441">treadmill</a> is okay!  My main obstacle is money--everything I enjoy costs money!  The other obstacle is finding alone time to to do them!  I'm hoping when I can go back to work, that will solve both those problems.<BR>     Oh--I'm a SAHM for the next couple of months, then when my mother-in-law retires, she's going to babysit so I can go back to work. (Don't really want to, but we need the money!) I'm trying to make eating right and exercising a habit before I start working again so it won't be so difficult to keep up!<BR>     I'm so glad to see that other people are having the same problems losing the baby weight that I am--most of my friends are the type that lost it all within 2-3 months!                                                 <td>What's the Dr. Phil theory on potty training?<BR><BR>BTW congrats to everyone for joining and trying to keep up with your kids!<BR><BR>I am a SAHM of a 2 yr old and a 8 yr old step-son who both had a b-day in May. I get the step-son on some weekends and his friends and cousin when he is in town so we have a house full of <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=kids">kids</a> at times, some of whom have terrible eating habits. Even when he isn't here it's tough with my son who our neighbor named "Dennis the Menace" because he is always up to trouble and as smart as a whip. He is adorable but hates to listen. He has even broken off the childproof door knobs. He is tall enough to open the fridge now. I can't wait until he busts that lock too, lol. I am trying not to be stressed out all the time with him, so excersizing and trying to focus on me by dieting/losing weight has helped. <BR><BR>They way I workout is by walking. I sometimes take our neighbors dogs for a walk. Sometimes my son comes with me and walks. Sometimes I carry him on my back. Sometimes dad watches him. But most times I add him to my back using a wonderful soft carrier for added weight.

                                                <td>Hi everyone. I am a SAHM of two girls. Shontavia who is 2 1/2 years old and Kaylanna who will be 14 months on the 7th. I know what you mean about losing this weight. I gained 80lbs with my first one and lost about twenty pounds before becoming pregnant with my second and last child. With Kaylanna I gained only 30lbs and lost that within a few weeks of having her, but she was also a big baby so she accounted for nearly 1/3 of the weight I had been carrying. I had done the low-carb diet and went from 255.5 to 202 from last august to december but hated it. Went off the so-called diet and gained almost all of it back so now I am hear. I have found spark helpful in that I make sure to get my cardio in and have been feeling better than I have since I was in the Army. <BR><BR>My two year old and 13 month old are a handful as well. My two year old went through the "why" stage. Everytime I told her to do something or asked her to come here it was "why mommy". I hated that but now she's into telling the baby what not to do or will show the baby how to get into things that are off limits. Needless to say, I am constantly going between the two of them and they never nap at the same time grr.... oh well love them hopefully next year is better as DH is getting deployed back to Iraq. He's leaving in three weeks and will be gone for three months in virginia and I am a college student. But they will keep me entertained while he is away!!! <BR><BR>BTW does anyone have any potty training tips? I've tried the Dr. Phil thing amongst other tricks but my 2 1/2 year old (who is very interested in going on the potty) simply will not go. Any advice? She will be two on July 16th.  Now we also have a two month old to keep us even busier:)  I try to get outside to kick the ball around with her (her favorite activity) and we go for a walk the days I am home with her. I was going up in weight gradually, then i <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=quit-smoking">quit smoking</a> and evedentally replaced my habit with food. Some days i tell ya, if i thought smoking would get rid of this weight i'd start again for that  reason and that reason only. I dont miss smoking just the smaller waist line. I've always thought, "If I could only eat just like they do, and run around just as much, I'd be a string bean too!" I only wish I had half the energy and determination they do!

They keep me sooo busy not to mention i baby sit my neices the same age range. They drive me nutty but i wouldnt trade them. It would be sooo much easier to run off to them gym with out them but because i'm lucky enough to have a wonderful husband i kind of get to. i have to wait until he's home for lunch or for the whole day but i do get to go by myself to the gym  and i sneak in my daily exercises while they are napping also.(mowing, vacuuming, dishes, dusting) as they get older i'm finding more time to be able to do things but they've never held me back from accomplishing any thing. My two older girls (bailee and Levi) are my step-girlies and are at their mother's right now, Garrison (my son from a previous marraige) is at his daddies' right now.  So, at the moment, I have only Bella with me and she is having a good time working out with Mamma!                                                 <td>Hi - I have twin boys, 4 years old and they keep my busy.  It's getting easier as they become more independant but there is still alot to do.  They see me workout at least 4 - 5 times a week at our local YMCA and at home.  Its great for our <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=kids">kids</a> to see healthy behavior and eating habits.  Its not always easy!  McDonalds and any fast food chain is the last resort and probably once a month if that for us.  <BR><BR>PB&J on whole wheat is better and just fast!  Good luck to all of us.

Like everyone else here, I've found that <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=running">running</a> around after them just isn't enough to get the weight off.  Yeah, they keep me busy and I have very little down time, but it's just not a real workout.  I joined sparkpeople 5 weeks ago and decided to get serious.  I've started to make "me time" for workouts.  That means getting up a little earlier (and, yes, it's very early!) 3 or 4 days a week to exercise.  I've lost 9 lbs. so far and feel really good.  It was a struggle at first, but it's becoming my routine and getting easier.  I also like the quiet time am happier all around to have some time when I can put myself first -- something I rarely get to do.

I found that try to lose weight with him is a little hard because of his deep love of mcdonalds. But I'm hoping that he will help me too. Luckily my 3 1/2 year old is in camp for three days a week, but they both still give me a run for my money and I still cannot lose the weight.  It is a struggle. I am already sick of the "WHY" All day long, asks a question, I answer, then "WHY" answer again, "WHY" I have been told this is early most don't do this till they are 3!!! <BR>He did get mad last night, when we put the new door safty knobs on the outside doors. She is the silliest thing ever, doesn't have a care in the world, and loves to climb. Needless to say, just like all of you, I am constantly <a href="http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/search_results.asp?site_search_term=running">running</a> and trying to keep up with her and having an older one just adds to the craziness. <BR>But I wouldn't trade it for anything. But I have to take care of myself to take care of them and also to set a good example with food. <BR>

                                                <td>I have a crazy toddler too.  He is almost 17 months and is non-stop go-go-go!  I'm surprised I haven't lost these last few pounds.<BR>I'm still not at my pre-baby weight, but I'm soooo close!  I only lost 10 pounds in the first two months after he was born.  It's taken me 17 months to get off all but 5 lbs.<BR><BR>Anyway, I commiserate with the toddler thing.  We should all be underweight chasing those kiddos!

I also have a 9 week old and am now trying to lose the weight for her and what I had not lost before. One binge will not ruin your week, plus sometimes you need the extra calories to keep up with the 2 year old... I am praying for the terrific 3's, the terrible two's have been an experience ;0
