Hi everyone.

I am just back from the hospital with my mom. This has been long & drawn out. Her doctor was in an accident & out of commission for a week. I just ran home to get the kids & head back to her house. She will be getting sick from the treatment very soon. I don't like her to be alone. But, the doctor said he thinks everything went well & will recheck her in September.

I should be somewhat back to a normal routine soon, at least be home long enough to get on the computer!

Hey, Michelle!

I was wondering where you have been. I figure just as busy as the rest of us this summer. We have been going to the pool a lot too. That's ok that you haven't called me back:) I understand.

Tomorrow, I am getting up early to exercise since I won't have time to the rest of the day. I am going to Patty's new house to help her clean it before they move in. They finally bought a house. She is so excited. Evan went back in the hospital last MOnday but had a great weekend and should come home sometime the next 2 days. It is great he is coming home, but it is harder for her to pack and do all she needs to w/ him at home because he requires so much extra time right now. SO, anyway, I am going there and then taking the kids to the pool then tomorrow night we have a MOMS night out. So, busy day tomorrow.

Tonight, I spent it cleaning my upstairs. It was a mess. THe kids actually cleaned their own rooms themselves. I got mine all done, dusted and my bathroom scrubbed, got all the sheets washed and put back on the beds and got all my laundry caught up and cleaned my laundry room. It gets so dusty. Then Danny came home and emptied my d/w and then loaded my mountain of dishes that were in the sink into it. I hate when I don't get my d/w emptied and I use a lot of dishes. They were from dinner last night and all day today. SO, now my counter and sink are clean. I just have to do the floors and my office and the basement. WOn't get to any of it tomorrow. I have been putting the pool ahead of cleaning lately. It is much more fun! Plus, I have been putting the gym ahead of cleaning too. I clean about once a week, not everything, just the main floor. I keep up w/ it a little, but not like I should. I haven't totally done my upstairs in about a month! It feels so good to have it done. I can see the light!lol

Michelle, you know you can tell us about anything. SOrry, you are going through that w/ your friends. We love you though:) Just wish you were closer. I did see the flooding in Houston! I was wondering about you all. We got some rain. It is supposed to be in the 90's this week and chance of rain, but not much. I say if it is in the 90's it better be nice enough to go to the pool.

Well, I am off to bed. I am soooo tired and I worked hard today!! Plus, I hear Danny upstairs laughing and I want to know what he is watching that is so funny. I could use a good laugh right now.

Cindi

Hey Cindi and Debbie! How has everyone been? I've been keeping busy and having some emotional stuff going on w/some friends of mine. I really need to get more friends. It's a long story what happened, but maybe one day I'll bore y'all w/it so I can see what y'all would do in my situation. I'm trying not to obsess about it all, I'm getting better.

Cindi~gosh girl, I'm so sorry I haven't called you back. How rude of me! Maybe tomorrow?

Debbie~good luck w/the swimming lessons. I hope you have better luck. Kade starts the end of June. This will be his first year to take.

I've been maintaining my weight. I'm doing good at drinking all my water too. We've been going to the pool too. Not since this past weekend, and still now. It has rained nonstop since about midnight last night. It has flooded in some areas. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow too. kids are doing o.k. considering we've been cooped up.

Dh took us all to the Astros game this past Saturday nite. That was fun.

Well, I guess i've talked enough. I promise I'll be around more!

Debbie~Sorry to hear that about the YMCA. This is the first time I have put her in lessons there and it was only $50 for 2 times a week for 3 weeks. She is doing really well as far as being able to swim w/out arm floaties on. She can swim under water for a short time and jump in the pool w/out holding her nose and then swim to the side. These are all big things for her. I am really excited for her. She is so excited that she swims w/out arm floaties now.lol So, I signed her up for another 3 weeks starting on Monday. Daniel is doing well too. He used to not be able to move. He would try to swim across the pool(w/ arm floaties) and would stay in one spot. So, now he can move all over the place and knows how to move his arms and legs. So, i feel I got my money's worth. I am curious now to see how well Sarah progresses after these next 3 weeks. I would be upset too if I paid $100 a month for a year and she didn't learn how to swim! After that long she should be able to compete!lol

So, you did jazzercise in the heat this morning? NOw, you have a feel for the Hot yoga I do.lol It is around 90 degrees in the one I do now, but at the Bikram studio it was about 108 degrees. Talk about sweating!

It is so hard when your routine gets messed up. Especially, when you have visitors and can't exactly continue to eat the same. But, at least you are back on track!!

I hope you find a book case! I could use one myself.

Need to get the kids ready for ball practice. My roast isn't done yet! I guess I will have to fix the kids a quick burger.

Cindi

Hi Cindi,
I'm glad your kids are doing well at the YMCA. Unfortunately, we have had terrible luck with them. I had Ashlyn in swim lessons there for a year, spending over $100/month, and she still doesn't know the basics of swimming. I would have been better off getting her private lessons for the money we spent. Maybe the course of instruction varies state to state. We were in CO at the time. There are no Y's close to us here so I'm opting for the city's lessons at their pool. They are 2 weeks long so I will see how it goes. If those bomb too, then I will look for a private instructor. I'm a pretty good swimmer so the whole thing is really frustrating for me. Keeping my fingers crossed it all works out.

Great job getting back into the 140's! I still haven't weighed myself. With all of the visitor's we have had, I haven't been able to be consistent with Jazzercise. I went yesterday, need to go tonight and then tomorrow morning to get my 3 times in this week. Sat morning we are helping with VBS so I can't go then. Hopefully I can be more consistent next week.

I need to look at where the yard sales are this weekend. We are in desperate need for another bookcase. I literally have books stacking up on the floor for the kids' school.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Debbie

Debbie~I have my kids in swim lessons at the YMCA and love it. THey are learning so much, especially Sarah. Probably because of her age. I am thinking about putting her in for another 3 weeks, so she can learn a lot more. Today is their last one. I was thinking about waiting 3 weeks and letting her practice at our pool and then signing her up, but I might just go ahead right into the next ones that start next week just to get them over w/ and so she doesn't forget anything. I am just tired of having to go somewhere all the time. But, I think it won't be so bad if I don't put them in VBS next week. THey love VBS and want to go every week.lol Last week they went to their cousin's church and this week our church. The week after next there is one at a church near here, so I might put them in that one, but give us all a break next week. With as busy as we are summer will fly by.

I am trying to take them to the pool as much as possible, but Lance is soooo hard to take care of at the pool. HE thinks he can walk right into it. SO, I have to chase him around. Yesterday, I finally buckled him in the stroller, so I could rest a minute. I HAVE to get him a boat this week. Someone in the neighborhood has one they are going to give us, so I need to call them TONIGHT!

That stinks about your P.O. Hope you get it straightened out soon. That is great you had a nice visit w/ your mil. WOW, 3 years. My Mom would die if she didn't see our kids for that long. I guess it is just what you get used to. Where does she live? I guess not near her mom either, huh?

I have been doing great and am finally back in the 140's!!! Whew! It took me forever to get serious enough to do this and I didn't think I would ever see the 150's again! I was so mad at myself for doing that! NEVER AGAIN! I want to see the 130's! Even if it is 138 or 139! Actually, I just want to be fit and get rid of this excess flab!

I need to get my bills done before going to get the kids.

Cindi

Hi Cindi ~ I've been around lurking, but haven't had a whole lot of time to post.

My mil was in town Thurs-Mon. She is a nice person and it was a pleasant visit. She had not seen us in 3 years...she has been letting her own 90yo mother dictate her vacation time and she finally put her foot down with her and told her she was coming to see us and then to see her.

I just signed the kids up for swim lessons for the next 2 weeks. I really hope the lessons are good...we haven't had much luck in that department in the past.

I've been doing well with Jazzercise. The AC wasn't working this morning and we were all so hot. A couple of people quit midway through b/c of the heat. I just kept drinking water between each song so I was okay. Afterwards I took the kids swimming for an hour. Then we came home, had lunch, took the garbage to the dump(we don't have trash p/up here), went to the library, and then went to the post office to complain AGAIN about our mail carrier. We are getting someone else's mail at least 2-3 times a week. Both of our neighbors have given us our mail. It is so ridiculous and our post office just blows it off. Thankfully my new checks arrived today in MY box and not someone elses! I asked for an application for a box and they were out of them. This p.o. is so pathetic. Anyway, enough griping!

Where is everyone? Hope there are more posts to read soon!

HI! I guess no one has been on here lately. Our thread wasn't even on the first board. So, I figured I would start a new one, since the last one was started on June 1st.

Hope everyone is doing well. kids have VBS this week. I have been staying busy. I don't know if I told you all, but I started cleaning houses for extra money. SO, far I have just done my mil's. I hope to get a few more, but not too many.lol I figure 2 houses a week would be good.

Yesterday, I got a lot done while the kids were at VBS. TOday, I am going to the gym.

Well, just wanted to check in and see how you all were doing. I am back on track. I started on MOnday and exercising and eating op!! If anyone is still interested in doing a challenge we can keep track at home and just post our info once a week if we are all too busy to get on here. We can do weight, inches, exercise or what ever you want.

I better get going.

TTYL,
Cindi
