Kelly~

Just remember to be grateful that they were watching out for you child. I use Walgreens and I have recently learned of other times that this has happened. I am thinking of switching, but they are open 24 hours, and that is why I was with them in the first place. Maybe I will take the time to look around. But then again ... her daddy has his guard up now, so I may not have to worry anymore. We will both be watching ...

I am glad that your daughter is ok. My two year old was just sick a few weeks ago and my pharmacy actually questioned the doctor's prescription because of Peyton's weight. At first, I was aggrivated that they were making me wait and telling me to come back later(they called her pediatrician to confirm the dose). The last thing I wanted to do was go back home and settle my two and three year old at home, only to put them back in the car to pick up medicine. While I was driving home, I looked in the rear view mirror and saw Peyton sleeping. I immediately called the pharmacy to thank them for going the extra mile to make sure that my child was safe. I use my local Kroger pharmacy and I hope you are lucky to find a pharmacy that you feel safe with too. Thank you for sharing your story.

Be well,
Kelly

We were really upset, and if it hadn't been for Ryan, I would've missed it and my daughter would have ended up in bad shape. I have always just trusted them to make sure they are doing things right because meds are not something to mess aound with. I wasn't in the habit of looking or checking. Thank GOD for Ryan and for my daughter's restored health. I just wanted to put the alert out there for other moms who don't look. I am going to start, and we all should.

I sure hope that your little one is ok. That is really scary. Everyone makes mistakes, but man it is tough to digest when those mistakes harm our loved ones. I am happy that is got fixed. But I would be leary about using that pharmacy again...twice in a row just does not cut it.

It was very frightening seeing my two year old vomit because of an overdose. She had a really hight fever, too. And then the pharmacy almost did it again ... so I just wanted to warn other parent to pay attention and look, for their kids sake.

When you go to get meds filled at your local pharmacy ... look at it. Examine the labels and measurements! Walgreens almost killed my little one twice!!!! They gave her an antibiotic that wasn't mixed correctly causing her to overdose and get sicker. Then when we went to the doc and they gave a new perscription, the pharmacy mixed it wrong AGAIN, and my fiance had to have a raging fit to get it fixed! So be careful ... I know that mistakes happen, but watch for this so that it doesn't happen to your kids!
