I posted this in the cafe, but think maybe parents can relate a little better....
My 8 year old daughter is so cute. She was really upset at bedtime a couple nights ago. I guess she made me something special at school for Mother's day, and someone else touched it. She said, between sniffles, "I left it on my desk and someone put their dirty hands all over it. I tried to cut out the dirty parts and now it's all messed up. I hope you will still like it."
Poor little sweetheart.
If she only knew - the fact that she cares that much is the only mother's day present I'll ever need!! (and my mangled little gift. Awwwwww.)
