Hey strangers! I'm sorry I'm so scarce here. I'm just not used to this website yet and it's not as convenient. Is there a way I can save this thread w/o having to do a search on STBS everytime I want to post? Also, is there a way to be able to do personals and go back and forth to remember everything I want to say? Am I asking too much? LOL

Anyways, I sent an email to Kathy, Debbie, and Cindi (the ones I had emails for) to brag about Trevor. He had his mile run today for school. It finished up their physical fitness tests. Trevor came in 2nd w/a time of 7:41. So AWESOME. I was proud momma!

Oh, I'm back down to 143! YIPPEEEE!!!!

Cindi~i can't believe Lance is almost a year. It doesn't seem possible. See, now I'm doubting myself b/c I can't go back and read. But, I could have swore I read you're having a party for Lance. When am I going to get updated pictures? Joce's new pics were too cute.

Debbie~glad you and Mark had such a nice trip. Oh goodness, I would die too if dh left his laptop at home while we went on a trip. LOL

Brooke~no one would get upset w/ya. We knew what you meant.

Randi~take one step or size at a time. You can do it! Make yourself a small goal like getting in size 16s by X time. I always like setting small, attainable goals for myself. I don't get so overwhelmed that way.

Kathy~are you finished w/exams yet? You rock girl! How's Winston doing? We are looking at getting another maltipoo. Is yours a goldendoodle or labradoodle?

Better go for now. I have concession duty tonight again. My last one, thank goodness.

I'll talk to y'all later!

Good Afternoon!

We had a great time at my cousin's grad. party last night. we got home about 11:30pm. We were exhausted. I had a class at the gym at 9:30 this morning. I didn't wake up til 9:15 then I rushed to get ready. Since Danny was home today I got ready first and then told him I was leaving as I was going out the door. He was on the phone. I said, the baby is upstairs in his bed crying and I am going to the gym. Bye! He just looked at me. I said, is there a problem, after all he did golf all day yesterday. He said, nope. So, I left. Then went to target and since we are watching our spending right now, I tried on exercise clothes and looked at kids clothes and towels and then left buying only 2 packs of new socks for me. Spent only 10 bucks!! I like the kind that are very cushiony on the bottom and have had a hard time finding some, but Target had some great ones. I hope I like them. I will let you all know if I do in case anyone else likes that kind. It makes the biggest difference when exercising and walking.

Kathy~Yes, the bellydancing class is at the gym. We have so much to do around here I dont' know if I will make it Sun. or not. Today we are cleaning out the garage and vehicles. I got my old van emptied, now I just have to wait for someone to come get take it away. YOu are doing great w/ your exercise. It helps w/ stress. Good luck finishing up this semester. I was getting close to goal, but these past couple weeks have been stressful, so I will be back on track next week. Starting a challenge after you are finished w/ school sounds good.

Brooke~No, you didn't upset me. I was just giving you a hard time:) IT is so hard to keep up w/ who's who on here. I had to post mine and then go back look up your name and then edit it.lol I don't think I will ever be an actual 4. To me a 4 is when most of my 6's are big and I think that would be too thin for me. I will be happy w/ comfortable 6's and a few 4's in my closet. Which is kind of where I am now, but now I am working on toning up the excess, like the backs of the arms and the flab on the outer back side of the thighs. Those problem areas. My belly has a little more skin that it used to, but that is probably normal for having 3 kids. I don't know. I just have to get serious, cut out the junk and keep exercising. It comes and goes in spurts.

I am feeding Lance right now and then I am heading out to help Danny in the garage. Sarah has a birthday sleepover tonight at 5pm, so I better get moving.

Cindi

Cindi - Sorry I got you guys confused. I was just trying to make Randi see that size isn't necessarilly the issue afterall Marilyn Monroe and Cindi Crawford (when she was modeling) were size 10's!!! And like I said mostly (you are an exception) the taller you are the harder it is to fit into those smaller sizes. I didn't mean it to be a bad thing or something. I hope I didn't make anyone made at me!

Hi everyone. I am struggling to keep my head above water these last two weeks of school. I have 4 exams in the next 2 weeks! Busy me!

As of today, I am 6 pounds from my goal. I hope to reach it by the end of May, and not sabotage myself like I did last time I was so close! This weekend should be a big help. We have an appointment with our counselor this afternoon, so I am going to take my bike on the metro & meet Rick downtown. He rode all 32 miles into work today! We will ride to our appointment & then ride around some afterwards. Tomorrow & Sunday, we have 5k runs each day. I really want to succeed this time & actually reach that goal!

Cindi - I plan on using the last 2 weeks of May to try & get my house cleaned. It is so dirty. We are getting prices for new windows, so that should help too. Not counting the addition & the sun room, we will have 18 regular size windows to be replaced and 2 that are about 12 feet long. Lots of dirty windows! They are so bad that you can feel the air flowing in from outside! Our utilities are going to increase 72% in the next 6 months because of rate deregulations in Maryland, so we are trying to offset that some by making the house more energy efficient. I cannot imagine a 72% increase in our bill! It is already $300 some months in the summer. Is your bellydancing class at your gym? I have been looking for one around here but can't find any. I am up for a challenge after I finish my exams on the 16th.

Randi - Great job on the exercise! Keep that up & you'll be noticing a difference before long.

Debbie - Congrats on fitting in to your shorts! I was like that with a pair of capri's I bought & was never able to wear. It felt so good!

Brooke - you are right about the sizes & height, etc. We just need to concentrate on being fit & healthy.

I better go try to figure out my Statistics. I really, really dislike that class!!!!!!

Have a great, skinny day!

Make wise choices! : )

Good Afternoon!!

I just got home from getting the kids from school. Sarah got out early because of Derby. They are off tomorrow for the same reason. Derby is a holiday around here. They get off Derby eve instead of Good Friday.lol It has been a busy couple days here. I am hoping to stay home tomorrow to finish my project, this house.

Debbie~I go through spurts. Usually, I don't have time to clean, so when I do it is a project that takes forever to finish. I have to get it all organized and clean before Lance's bday party next week because we are having a lot of people over and Steve is paying someone to do my spring cleaning for me so I have to get everything else done before then. I have too much stuff is the problem. My projects include the storage rooms, the garage, under the deck(an outdoor storage room) and all that is after I finish the house. I don't have much more, just finish the closet, put stuff away that is scattered all over the floors and then my office which is a day long thing by itself. At least my laundry is caught up right now. I also have several things that need to be embroidered soon. Some have to be done today! I wish I could keep up w/ the house, so that cleaning isn't such a chore. I hardly even go in the basement anymore and it so dusty down there. It will be nice to have it all done at once. That rarely happens. I hate housework. Michelle is our cleaning queen around here.lol

Brooke~I am almost 5'8". I have a few size 4's, but I am mostly in a 6. I wear 8's too, but they are a bit baggy. But, I think you were talking about Debbie in your post to Randi. I am not sure how tall Debbie is. She is a little shorter than me. But, I also wanted to say that if you are a 14 and you were in high school then you are doing good. I am bigger than I was in high school and will prob. never get down to that size, so that is good that you haven't gained a lot since then. Of course, you are probably younger than me. But, still you have to go by your natural size and then decide where you should be. So, like I said you are doing good if you are at your high school weight.

Randi~85 min. of exercise is great!! I went to the gym yesterday and then took the boys for a walk, but today I got no exercise and prob. won't. Tomorrow I will go to the gym and then prob. won't make it there again til Monday, unless I go to Bellydancing on Sunday. Keep up the good work!!

Come Monday, I will be ready to get serious and maybe start a challenge on here if anyone wants to participate let me know. Prob. not a difficult one, maybe just posting our food, exercise, water or something like that. Any ideas??

Have a great day!

Cindi

Randi - I hear ya! I'm in 14 right now and have been since my senior year of high school. But as long as we reach our goals and are healthy in doesn't matter our size. Besides I'm not sure how tall you are, but cindi may be only 5'0" in which case being a size four is normal.

I hope everyone has a good day. I will if I get motivated.

Good Evening, Skinnies!

Well, today seems to be going great! I got 85 mins. of exercise in today! 25 of Tai Chi and a 60 min. walk too. I'm so happy! And breakfast was nice and healthy. Lunch wasn't so great, but I'll live. I feel great; a little tired from losing sleep last night and the exercise, but great otherwise. I've gotten 52 oz of water so far too! Now to go fix dinner; I'm running late again. Then to clean a bit.

Debbie~ 1st: Congrats on the size 4's 2nd: I'm JEALOUS!!! I'm in size 20's & 18's and will never ever be in a size 4. :-P 3rd: How bad was the storm? Hopefully not too bad.

To everyone else: Hope you all have a great healthy evening and tomorrow! {{{HUGS}}} to you all. Talk to y'all later!

Hey, I just had to get on here and let you all know that I was able to get into my sz 4 shorts and actually button them today! Yahoo! I couldn't button these before I started Jazzercise. I'm pretty excited. Now I can't wait until they are actually comfortable to wear.

I'm about to leave and pick up Mark from work. Then we are going to dinner and then to our pastor's house for an informational meeting on the church. I really like this church and I hope we stay for a while.

Cindi ~ I can't believe all of the cleaning you do! I desperately need to do the same here. I have boxes marked ebay in the attic that I'm going to sell after we are done with school.

Randi ~ Glad things are better today and that you have Midnight back.

Hi to Amy, Michelle, Kathy, Becky, and everyone else!

I better get ready to go. We are under a severe thunderstorm watch. I really hope it doesn't hail, especially since we just replaced our windshield last week. Have a good evening!

Good Evening, Skinnies!

Things went much better today!!! We got Midnight back from the vet. today too. Lunch was a bagel & Slim Fast. And dinner wasn't too bad fettuccini & shrimp scampi (not great, but not too bad).

Cindi~ I'm having Jeremy's party on the 13th too. Hope Lance has a great party! Good luck with the uncluttering! I really need to get back into FlyLady! I fell off the wagon and just haven't jumped back on yet. I really need too though.

To everyone else: Hope everyone has a great healthy day tomorrow! {{{HUGS}}} to all! See ya later!

Good Evening!

I have been busy today. Danny took Daniel w/ him again today and I didn't go to the gym. I have been working on closets and drawers all day. I got Daniel's room totally done and Lance's too. It feels so good to know that everything in their closets/drawers fit. I have 3 big bags of clothes to get rid of. I got Sarah's clothes done, but am still working on the rest of her room. She has so many little knick knack things that don't really have a place, so I am working on that. My hallway is full of stuff upstairs. I have stuff in my storage room and garage that I need to get rid of. I am thinking about putting my tupperware in a community yard sale next Sat., the 13th. But, that is also the day I am having Lance's bday party. But, the cleaning lady that Steve hired is coming Friday to clean, so I will have my house done by then and then she will do all the detailed cleaning/spring cleaning for me. Then Danny is making the food, so I figure if we are at the yard sale all day then leave around 2pm, come home and get everything together it should be fine. If I do that I will prob. put all my baby stuff in the yard sale too. I would love to purge everything in this house. Well, all the cluttery, unneccesary stuff.

I have a lot of yard work to do too. I am hoping that we can get it done on Sunday. Sat. is Derby, so we will be gone all day, but we don't have plans on Sun., so I will see if Danny will get some mulch and get our yard looking decent again.

So, much to do so little time.

Randi~I know you can get back on track. Isn't that what you told me? You can do it too.

Debbie~Your night sounded like fun. Minus the traffic jam, of course. I am ready for a night out, just Danny and I.

I better get back to Sarah's room before I lose my motivation. It feels so good to get this stuff done.

Well, believe it or not I don't have a lot to say today. I blew it big time yesterday! BK for breakfast & Arby's for dinner. I'm doing better today though. Shredded Wheat & banana for breakfast. I'm just running late with lunch. :-( Need to get something healthy (if possible) out of the kitchen. I'll catch y'all later! {{{HUGS}}} to all!!!!

Debbie- I am so glad that you had a good time. I've never been on the General Jackson but I've always wanted to. I know what you mean about the rain! My husband is a land surveyor and they have been working on the Nashville airport so he has been out in it all day. I imagine he will be glad to get home and get dry.

Halli and I did not get to go out and do our walk today but I got in my strength exercises and they were killer today. I really worked my arms

Hope you all are having a great day and I hope your weather is better than ours has been today!

Hi everyone,
We woke up to a thunderstorm this morning. Everyone is really tired. Right now, all 3 kids are lying in bed with me trying to take a nap.

Yesterday, my friend Nancy picked the kids up and then I waited for Mark to get home. We just got onto I-40 to go to our dinner cruise when traffic just stopped. We found out there was a big accident about 10 miles up the road. We sat there for about an hour and then we managed to get out of it by going the wrong way in the ER lane back to the exit ramp. A bunch of cars were doing this.

Then we were off on our merry way. I just prayed that God would make all of the cops blind and that the boat wouldn't leave w/out us! We managed to get back onto I-40 after the accident and Mark was pushing 80 when I spotted a motorcycle cop. I thought we were toast, but he must have had his radar gun pointed on someone else, b/c he never even looked our way! God must have answered my prayer!
Anyway, we made it to the General Jackson just in time. We skipped getting our picture taken so we could make the private party. They gave out awards to everyone in the FPU church department and then we went into dinner. We had salad, dinner rolls, steak, chicken, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Oh, and yes I did have a small slice of cheesecake, but I figure my jazzercise workout made up for that! The food was really good and we had a great time with everyone there. The show was Sing!, which was pretty lame, but the rest of the night was fun. We didn't get to pick up the kids until 11:30 so everyone is really tired. They had a great time last night and Nancy said the kids were a "delight" to have. That was really nice to hear considering Isabella was included in that statement!

Well the kids are not napping anymore and it stopped raining. I'm going to take them outside to look at our silkworms. We had never seen silkworms until we moved here and the kids are just fascinated by them.
Have a nice afternoon everyone!

Yes I get over there quite a bit. I grew up in the Boro but moved away with my husband to Columbia for a while. His family is from around there. Whenever we wanted to go do anything we had to drive to Cool Springs to do it. We love Macaroni Grill there. It's sort of our place. The next time I'm headed that way I will let you know!

Hi all,
I'm supposed to be getting ready, but instead thought I would pop on here real quick.
Jazzercise was so tough this morning. I think I'm just not a morning person. lol

Amy ~ I'm in Fairview, but I'm in the Cool Springs area a lot since Mark works there. Do you ever get out that way? Maybe we can meet. :)

Ok, back to getting ready. I'm hoping it doesn't rain tonight.

Just wanted to check-in. I haven't been here in a while! I weighed in this morning and I lost another pound. That's 2 in 2 weeks. I moved to the second stage last night so I'm interested to see how much better I can do. I just got back from my walk with Halli. She absolutely loves our walks so it makes it easier for me to want to go!

Debbie- Where are you at in TN? I'm in Murfreesboro!

So glad to hear your trip went well. I think my husband and I really need some time alone, but he won't take the time with the new business and we probably really can't afford it right now. We used to go away at least once a year before the baby and the business, but I don't see that happening for awhile.
Cindi - You are so right about bathing suit season! I look alright with clothes on, but I don't with a bathing suit on!!! I'm going to try really hard for this month. It'll be easier with the nicer weather. I eat less when it's not cold and I can get outside to walk or play with Kaitlyn.

Debbie - I was thrilled & flattered that Rick didn't pack his laptop. He is somewhat of a computer junkie. Drives me insane sometimes.

I should be in a great mood today, don't know why, but I feel kind of sad...

Guess I should go shower & get dressed. Maybe I'll go for a run.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to get a new week started. Mark & I are going on The General Jackson tonight for a dinner cruise and show, compliments of Mark's work. His department met some kind of goal so there are going to be a bunch of us there. It should be a lot of fun.
Because I won't be around tongiht, I decided to go into jazzercise this morning with the kids. It ought to be interesting!

Kathy ~ Your weekend trip sounded so fun! I'm glad you and Rick are taking time to get away together. Mark didn't do any extra computer work this weekend and it was so nice. We really needed the time as a family to just goof off.

Hi to everyone else. I'll try to check in again after the cruise.

Debbie
