As a single parent, I have found that if we just stick to the house the kids have a harder time to sleep at night. My son 7, plays soccer 2 nights a week and the other 2 nights we go to the park, and we usually run around there for an hour and a half or so.

If any of you have boys, they might enjoy those kickboxing workouts with you. Last night I was doing some of that when a commercial came on. I told my son, "Let's fight" because he loves to try to do karate. We had a great time and a good workout. He kicked me square in the butt and we're still laughing !

My ten year old daughter has been getting up early every morning to ride bikes with me. I can't just decide I don't feel like doing it because she's waiting with her bike helmet on and standing next to her bike when I finish feeding the animals outside. What a motivator she's turning out to be!

Definitely more active since having a child! Even if he is napping, I pick up his toys and clean the floors that he crawls on. So we are active all day!!

Hi,
I try to take the baby for a walk in the stroller almost every day.

She loves it, and it makes her nap and sleep better that night.

I love the sunshine, and the exercise.

Also, signed her up for swim lessons and joined a gym with a great daycare.

I've been walking with my son. We also swim together. I want to instill healthy exercise habits in him at a young age.

I quit the gym because he wasn't allowed in the pool with me there.

I have been reminding myself to play more with my daughter lately. I want a close relationship with her so that she will be able to be open with me later when it counts. So I think that playing with the kids is great anyways, and the extra cardio minutes are just an awesome bonus!

I have 2 teenage boys that I play basketball, volleyball, tennis, catch, all kinds of things. It keeps us close and we can talk about things. It gives us more in common.

Actually playing with kids is listed as an exercise in the drop down cardio options on the exercise tracker.

Absolutely! I take my daughter to the park and go down the slide with her. She is too young to go alone. We have taken her to ChuckECheese, and I climb in the tubes with her. I think playing with her is a great way to exercise. It is fun too. You feel like a kid again.

I have come to the conclusion that I am exercising while I play with my son... I figured the more I play with him the more excersize I get....Do you of you agree that we could use playing with our children as a way of exercise....
