| The blood test WILL confirm either way. It is as accurate as you can get.

GIve it a few days and try it again, is it still is negative go see your Dr. they will do a blood test which is way more accurate. If your not they will check you out for any other problems.

I was not late yet with my second child but sort of knew so went to the doctor. I was only 5 days pregnant when I found out. The pregnancy tests were negative but the blood tests came back positive. I actually had one negative and one positive test at home and had a half-way between negative and positive test at the doctor's office. He said he was almost sure I was pregnant but needed to make sure by blood test! I was excited but scared at the same time. We hadn't planned another one but were happy when we got the news!

Mine is a little late also - I am scared to take a pregnancy test (not ready to have another one...IF we decide to have another). My excuse is that I just stopped breastfeeding my baby and just started a diet...not sure how good of an excuse it is, but it is working for me right now to keep sane.
With my other pregnancies I just KNEW right away when I was pregnant - I don't feel that way this time.
