| I, too, can relate! Although it's my husband and myself who need to eat a little less, the kids could all stand to gain some pounds. Like another poster, I cook just one meal and adjust the portion sizes. I've also found that snacks are a good way to provide added nutrition for the kids, but limit me and my husband.

| Both of my children are pretty thin. My DH & I aren't. I cook one meal and the kids can determine how much of what they want to eat.

I know how you feel. My 7 and 10 year olds are both very thin and seem to have high metabolisms. The youngest just got over a week long virus and even though she only lost 4 pounds, she looks like a little stick person. I'm always trying to get those 2 to eat a little more. My 14 year old DD is just right, but I worry that if she doesn't eat a little better she'll end up with the same problems I have. When I cook dinner I only prepare 1 meal but give each person different portion sizes based on what I think their nutritional needs are.

How does one manage to juggle all of the needs in the family? DD & DH are low normal to underweight, I am high normal to overweight & the little one(my "Baby") is just right! I find it exasperating to shop & cook for all- I feel like I am running a diner sometimes!
