Thank you, Kelly for posting an actual link for the article. I copied the URL for the article. However, it ended up splitting it into two lines so I'm not sure if people would have been able to easily find the article that way.

Here is the article you are referring to in case anyone wants to read it. It is pretty amazing how tuned in to TV familes are these days. Personally, I am addicted to Grey's Anatomy and Boston Legal...I don't know if I could unplug for that. Having TiVo is great because now I watch tv on my time and we actually watch less tv since we can forward through all the commercials.
Enjoy the article! Tune in to a Healthier You
Be well, Kelly

| For as much as we don't watch TV, it would be easy to do without it.

*smiles* I think having the TV at a minimum is still better than the other alternative.

| I have never tried...but my kids choose other alternatives quite often- the read or play puzzles- we do some of those activities as a family- TV is at a minimum!

I just read an article here on SparkPeople by Jen Mueller. It is titled, "Tune In to a Healthier You - Time to Turn Off Those TV's!".
At first I found it amusing since I haven't had a TV plugged in where I lived for the most part since before I first started college back around 1988. We have never had a TV plugged in since before my children were born. If we chose to watch something we have a DVD player on the computer. However, most times we will chose to go do something or just to read a book or read a book to the kids rather than to take the time to sit and watch something on DVD.
So it made me wonder. How many people could survive a week without their TV? How many families have chosen to unplug and get rid of the TV? Or to at least stick it in a closet?
