The only thing I don't like on there is how you track your exercises. I like this website's setup when it comes to that much better. But just like on here my favorite part is talking to other women who understand me.

Congrats!!! I definately recommend BabyFit website. My son was born 6 weeks ago and I used the site throughout my whole pregnancy. It kept me healthy and easy to track what your eating and what you should be eating. I was back at my pp weight before I left the hospital and all thanks to that site :)

Hi! I also just found out I'm pregnant after just deciding to try and get in better shape. I have a 2 year old at home and don't work but I gained so much weight with my 1st pregnancy that I never lost. I am concerned about gaining too much weight but I want to be healthy and I also am unsure of what kinds of exercises and strength training is okay for me. I just went to that website and its exactly what I am looking for. Thanks! Its like having a group of people with your interest at heart around here!

Congrats to all you newly pregnant mommies! How exciting for you all. There is a wonderful diet that has been proven to diminish pregnancy induced high blood pressure (toxemia), aids in stronger amniotic membranes and overall good health for mom and baby by Dr. Tom Brewer. www.blueribbonbaby.org

If anyone wants some great reading recommendations or other website recommendations email I would be happy to give them to you. I am a chidlbirth educator, labor doula and lactation educator.

I was on this site for a while, then found out on Thanksgiving morning that I was pregnant again. I went to Babyfit.com site (your user name and passcode are the same and most of your favorite foods that you saved should also be there) And found what they suggested for calories. BUT I love this site so much, I changed my diet goals here to maintain (same current weight and goal weight) and my high range is about the same as Babyfit's low range. So I kinda know where to stay. So far (am at 21 weeks) and have gained a total of 12 LBS. I only gained about 30+ LBS with my first. BUT I also started out about 20 LBS heavier. SO I think with this one, I might be able to stay under 200 this time.

Congratulations Brandy,

How exciting and wonderful. I highly recommend the BabyFit site. It is very helpful and you can find the same kind of support there as on SparkPeople. Best wishes.

Hi Brandy!

Congratulations! SparkPeople has a sister site, www.babyfit.com that you'll want to check out. It has a lot of the same features as SP and is also free, but it will give you the info you need to have a healthy pregnancy. Then after the baby is born, you can come back to SP to lose the baby weight!

Hope that helps!

Hi! I just found out that I'm about 4 to 5 weeks pregnant. I haven't been to the doctor yet but want to have a healthy weight gain. Does anyone know a way on this site to determine the calories I need during pregnancy? Thanks, Brandy
