I have a toddler and a new born and it is my life to stay motivated for them, but don't get me wrong it is not easy because my mind likes to wonder.

I agree - On days that I work, I come home and change into my workout clothes and I put my tennis shoes on and tie them (just having the clothes on doesn't keep me strong when I feel tired already but the shoes are a done deal). Then once the kids are in bed (around 8pm) I jump on the treadmill and get my work out in.
On days that I am at home, I just schedule out my day on paper and keep time on the calendar for my work out. What motivates me to stick with my workout during the day is to know that that night after the girls go down, I can relax on the couch if I want to. I also print out my fitness schedule for the week and post it on my fridge. This keeps me motivated to complete the fitness piece of it every day as well as make smarter snack choices. Cookies seem less appealing when I stare at the cardio ahead of me!!!

Be well,
Kelly

i think it's so hard to stay motivated when you're home. that's one of the reasons i had to come back to work after i had my 2 kids. i'm not the stay at home type, and i know whenever i'm home on the weekends, it's terrible for any diet. i find that if i change into something to exercise in right when i get home from work and even if i don't exercise for another 3 hours (when everyone is asleep) i find myself more likely to go on the treadmill.

I find I'm more motivated if I put on my exercise clothes and not take a shower until I've gotten my exercise in. I almost alway have gotten a shower in before my husband comes home.

We have been having an unseasonably warm winter so we have been walking to and from school a lot.

On days we do drive to school I try to head over to the gym.

Happy to help! I know it can be tough...I work part time and have a 3 year old and a 2 year old.

Hang in there!

Hi!
I am a stay at home Mom too. I have been for since my daughter was born. (almost 6 yrs) My daughter is almost 6 and my son is 3.
I live in MA and it's cold out and I'm looking forward to spring. I love to garden and spend a lot of time outside. I miss it! I know how you feel. For me, there's only so much housecleaning and laundry one can do.
I have lost 18 lbs since Dec. 05'. Just trying to keep it off!
Have a Great Day!
