| hi lady's i am a young mother of a 9 month old baby boy. it seems like my fiance' is always working and doesnt really have much time for us to do things as a family. i was wondering if anyone else was in a similar situation?? i also sometimes feel like i have no purpose. i mean i know i am taking care and raising a person but i just feel like a useless person staying home all of the time can anyone tell me if they ever feel this way and if so how to get over it??

Shellet31- I will pray for your son, I will pray that he stays healthy and happy. And alsofor your family, it must be so hard. I know what it's like to see someone you love suffer. I couldn't imagine it being my child. The women on this thread are wonderful, supportive moms, and women. Anytime you need to talk or need great advice this is the place to go. We are all here for each other. It's really nice. I hope your sons doctor find the right antibiotic so he can remain well. Best wishes to you and yours.

Howdy group-
I was wondering if I could get you all to pray for our son. He is a typical 12 year old except for one difference. He has a life-threatening disease which renders his immune system unable to fight infrection. He has to receive I.V. therapy every 3 weeks to help him fight infection. Perhaps some of you have heard of bubble boy? Well, he's kinda like that except the I.V.'s allow him to fight the infections.
Today, I discovered that he has a sinus infection which could prove fatal if the docs can't find the right antibiotic.
Or son doesn't understand the seriousness of the infection, just that he has one. He does know about his disease but I'm not quite sure he understands that an infection could kill him. I surely don't want him to live his life being afraid of everything.
So please pray for the right antibiotic.

Hello, I am a mother of 4 young children and I just hate it when one gets sick, I don't get my workout in when they are sick because I can't bring them to the gym daycare and my husband works alot. I also just don't like seeing my babies sick, but I feel like one has been sick at all times lately and it interferes with my progress. I am still losing but I am so addicted to going to the gym that when I miss a day I feel out of place!! We'll shoot for Monday again and hopefully everyone will have a good week!

Just wanted to pop in and say happy Saturday to everyone! Hope you all have a great weekend. It is sunny but the breeze is chilly here in NWPA. Punk is napping right now but am gonna go wake him up and send him outside with dad and brother to clean up the sticks out of the yard.

Good morning everyone. It's anew day and I fell refreshed. It's raining outside, but it doesn't really feel gloomy. My husband and my 10 year old sister let me sleep in this morning, and they took care of my little angel. She is so sweet. She likes to climb in bed with me in the morning and "Nuggle". She's avery caring little girl, at two. She says please and thankyou, and if I havea boo boo, like when my belly hurts, she'll say, "I kiss it Momma, make it better?" And she does. When someone coughs or sneezes she say, "you Okay?" In the sweetest most caring ittle voice! How could I be sad with such a wonderful daughter, and my siter Racheal is the same. She's very sweet, and caring. She helps me so much with Rebecca. The first thing she does on the weekends when she wakes up is knock on my door. Thenwe all Nuggle. I am so lucky to have so many people t help me through my life. Thank you for helping me to see that.
Barbara- You are so right. I will tackle all of these challenges, and I will learn to have faith again. One day at a time. I have to try not to do too much at once, as I have always done in the past. I will look on amazon for that book, it sounds like a great read. I love to read, it's my favorite pastime. Often, as a teenager, I would lock myself in my room and read for days. My mother spent a fortune on reading material for me, somes 3-4 books a week! I could never do that now but an hours or so a day I could certainly use for something that I enjoy.
Thanks again, I hope everyone has a wonderful day. I'm going shopping for an easter dress today, I hope it's not a bad experience! My tummy is still a bit swollen, my favorite jeans hurt my belly. I hope I find something that fits!! Wish me luck!

Good morning ladies! The rain is softly falling outside my window right now. My bird is singing and spring is in the air. Drink in the day ladies. This day will never come again. Each day is yours to do with as you wish. Even the hurdles we face are in our command. We can go around them, under them, over them, or right straight through them. As long as we keep our goal to get to the other side we will. If we keep a smile on our face, a song on our lips, and faith in our heart we can not fail.We also do not ever have to face the day alone. There ARE those around you who love you. There ARE friends to help along the way. And most of all we have God to guide us, and love us even when we struggle.

Vitaleh- I believe in you dear. I do not think you would have taken on the job of raising your sisters if there were not wonderful things deep within you. I am sure the pain of losing your mother is a great, and I agree with you- you did not get a chance to sort through your own grief. Yet I see such hope and a promise of bright days before you. Have you ever read The Hiding place by Corrie Tenboom? I wish you would. She survived a concentration camp in WWII. She lost her family through the war. It is one of the most wonderful books I have ever read. I think you would benefit from reading it. You are in my prayers dear. Please feel free to email me if ever you need a personal hug. Wow, Barbara, I don't know what to say. I'm sorry that you had to deal with such turmoil in your life. What a tradgedy, thank god you are all safe and well. Thankyou for sharing your story. It helps me to see the hardship that you have had, and how love can make anything okay. It may not get your things back, but those things were realy just things. Your heart is so pure, and you are so wise and maybe that experience as well as many other life experiences have made you the person that you are today. It made you stronger, and you were able to find happiness again.
I know that the things that I have been through will help me to grow. I have to learn to have faith again. I haven' t been to church since my mothers funeral. I'm not sure how to accept it all. I can't leave my house, I'm not sure what stops me. Maybe it's my own stubborness, maybe it's my turmoil that my mother was taken away, or that my life is so confusing. When life get's hard now, I pick up the phone to call my mother, and then I realise that she's no longer there. It's like a new begining everyday when I have to wake up nd realize that she's not here again. Or the nights when my 10 year old sister is up all night crying for my mother. That's when I run out of the right things to say or do.
That's when I wish to god to help her, to help them all. But I never ask for help for me. I need closure I guess. I'm not even sure what it is. I've never experienced a loss so devastating. I would do anything to hold her and tell her how much I love her. To see her smile again, to feel her skin, to see her happy. I know I can never do this. I can only be happy for the time I have had with her. And believe me, I am.
Life has become a struggle without her. Her death brought so much pain to my family. My home has become desolate and lonely. We moved a week after her death. We expected her to move with us, everything happened so quickly I think we're all still in shock. I am moving forward everyday. Making new strides, and trying to remain strong. I have to hold my family together.
Tonight I confided in my aunt, the one who lives with me, about my feelings. In all of this I don't think her and I ever mourned together. Really together. We've been so busy holding the pieces together, that we forgot about each other. It's time for me to let go. Time for me to find peace with myself. I want to be happy again, in a way it's almost like I've been waiting for permission. Waiting for my mother to tell me what to do next. But maybe she raised me to just know. Maybe that's something to have faith in.
Thankyou everyone for your kind words of support. I'm 31 years old and I have my whole life in front of me. My mother never told me that life was going to be easy, so I guess I have to take the lumps, learn from them, and keep moving on. Your all such a wonderful group of women, I'm so glad I found you.

Hello! I am not sure when breakfast ends. I am a slow starter. I usually have mine around 10 if I am lucky. Don't worry about missing some days, just have some the next day. My workout is ok right now. I have been very forunate to be able to get to the gym the last two weeks except maybe a few days. Some days I just want to stay in bed and just lie there all day but I can't when the kiddos need me. But once I get up make my bed, get dress and get the kids dressed I am ready. plus, my sis n law goes to the gym and my daughter always wants to see her cousin. That's usually the first thing "go to the gym and see mania. She can't say her name but yet but its cute. Anyway, so she kinda keeps me accountable for the gym.
I cleaned out my fridge yesterday and its so bare. The only fruit I have right now is bananas so hopefully I will be able to get to the grocery store this weekend probably not. I hope you have a good weekend too. I am here always for you.

We're having a good day of course! We have cleaned and cleaned, and gotten all but 3 things crossed off our list for today. We have to pick some paint to paint Ella's part of the bedroom, and we have to get the laundry in, and...the basement. It shouldnt take but 10 minutes though. The basement. lol
Its nice and sunny, but cold and windy. Reminds me of a few people I know. 
Lets remember to be sunny and warm with a nice calm breeze for our families!

ya know what Barbara? I can relate to that- literally- except the 11 kids part. I only had 2. We left our home, which we were renovating, to live in a mobile home. We had to move due to the ravages of a fire.
Trust me, when it comes to adapting, that is one thing you have to do. Everything you worked so hard for is completely gone. Pictures, clothes, bedding, kitchen stuff, even the smells. All the 'things' we save from our children- gone.
One VERY important thing I learned from being 'evicted' was just how precious my family was. No matter what 'things' I lost, my family was still there. And we bonded more in those 4 months then ever before.
It seems to me that we were going through some really rough times as a family and God just wanted us all to realize just how precious each and every one of us is in His eyes and in each other's eyes.

My breakfast goal has not been met this week, unfortunately. Thanks for asking, it helps keep me accountable! lol I went grocery shopping yesterday and the pantry and refrigerator are now restocked (is that a word?) with healthy choices and fresh fruit!
I have a question- What time does breakfast "end"? lol I have read it is better to eat within one hour of waking to help jump start metabolism. I can eat after I have been up for an hour or so. Old habits die hard I suppose, but I am still working on it!
How is your plan going? I have been slacking with my exercise lately. It's been a weird week.

Lolla - Welcome!! Chime in anytime it is always nice to know I am not the newest one here. I found SP on March 7th and try to visit everyday. My boys are 12 (Jordan) and 2 1/2 (Jacob aka Punk). I am trying to talk my hubby into one more.
Vitaleh - I hope today has dawned a brighter day then yesterday. Just like the chores at home, make a list of the stuff you need to get done (like the shower) and under it make a list of stuff you need to do to get it done. Doing a little each day will make it seem like a smaller task. 5 months is a long time to plan and pull off a shower if you do it a little at a time. Good luck!

Dear "Blue" sisters, I would like to tell you a story. This is a true story. Some of you may not get much out of this, but I think there is one lady here who might.
Once upon a time there was a lady who had her life just the way she liked it. She had a house she liked, and things around her she liked. She lived just where she wanted to live. Her kids were happy and could play outside when ever they felt like it. She shopped twice a month and grew a big garden. She canned her own veggies and sauces. She had her kitchen just the way she liked it, all her favorite pots and pans. The list could go on, but you get the picture.
Then she had a fire. She was blessed to have her husband and children all saved. They stood there in pajamas and bare feet in March watching everything burn up. ALL OF IT. She gave birth by c-section 14 days later to baby # 11.
Her house was gone, her things were gone. She was moved into a house in town. An awful place with two stories and FOUR outside doors on a busy street. Her country raised children didn't understand the dangers of town. She had a new baby, and two 2 year olds, a 3 year old,and a 4 year old,all who could not be trusted to stay out of the street.So the doors had to ALWAYS be locked. She had to shop every third day for food- as she had no storage at all and a tiny little fridge. Her husband had to work much more than he had, to pay for the new expense.
She had to drive 60 miles each way every day to help build a new house. There was no water or electric there. She was nursing her new baby.It was Aug. and hot. They did most of it themselves. Instead of a fire, it felt like a tornado every day. She was tired. She used to sit in the tub at night and CRY out the stress of the day.
But one day the house was done. It was a different house but she made it into a home. She got used to the new pots and pans. She got new things that became HER things with time. The whirlwind left. And you know what. She had learned more in that eight months than she would have learned in eight years if the fire hadn't happened. She learned that family is all that matters. She learned that God was there even in the tornados of life. She learned that sometimes all you can do IS all you can do- and it is enough. She learned that loving is the only thing that lasts, and is all you really need. Little things never bothered her again. She found deep peace that can never be shaken. She found herslf in the ashes of that day. The real her, that God intended her to be. And she learned to share what she learned.

Sorry you are having a blue day. It's ok to have days like that when everything is going right in your life. Slow down and breathe. Life does get overwhelming sometimes for everyone but it hits some more than others. I wish I could be there and give you a hug and let you know that tomorrow is another day. It's ok to splurge sometimes that way your body doesn't go into crash mode and start eating everything in site. Don't be so hard on yourself for things you do. I was at first when I started sp and now if I have something I just say next time I will learn from this. I hope you have a better evening. Take care I promise tomorrow you'll have a better day. Just smile and know that I am here for you.

Good morning moms, I hope all is well with everyone. I'm feeling kind of blue today, I'm not sure why. My family is ahppy, healthy. My life is good. I have a husband who adores me, and my progress. My family is so strong, too strong. My life is moving forward so fast. Maybe that's it. I'm changing so much everyday, I think I'm a bit overwhelmed by it all. The diet, the flylady, my recent surgery, I'm trying to do so much at once I am completely overwhlemed. I just realized last night that my sisters wedding is 5 months away! I have to get to work on the shower!
How do all you mom's juggle it all? I've got so much going on all the time sometimes it seems like I'm stuck in the eye of a torando! Today is that day. My house is a bit messy today, I didn't get up for my morning walk and I ate donut holes for breakfast. Come on ladies, snap me out of it please? Sorry for moaning, I know get over it, move forward, i keep teling myslef that too. The problem is, I'm still sitting here!

I like this group; it's not often I can find a whole group of Moms who stay home like me.
I saw a commercial recently about exercing and the woman said, "running errands is considered exercise isn't it." Of course she did want to go to the gym; it was supposed to be silly but how true is that? I do so many errands some days that I feel like I've just run a 5k race.

I remember my Mother saying "Get out, I'm trying to clean here" when I was a child. To be honest, I have said this same thing to my children and then feel guilty after I say it. Probably because I know how it made me feel as a child.
The good thing is that it's still early in the day and I will make the rest of the day a fun and happy one for my little ones.

Good morning Ladies,
Its storming here so we will be inside playing today. Barbara, I love coming to this thread and seeing your wonderful inspirational words to get me started in the morning. You are very thoughtful and sweet. Your children and hubby are very blessed having you. Your words brought tears to my eyes. Its funny you would say about the sink. It's such a great feeling waking up and the sink cleaned the house cleaned. My husband has notice I am making an effort to keep things cleaned. Only if he knew what it looks like during the day when the kids play. Since I have found the flylady site I feel so much better. I recieve the emails and just enjoy cleaning. It's a great feeling knowing I can go to bed and not have to get up and clean first thing like I used to. More time to eat breakfast with the kiddos or just get on the computer for me time. I have also found a devotional site the daily bread and I do that when the kids are playing or sleeping. Really has helped me this week. Thanks again for your kind words and for your prayers.

Good morning ladies! Rise and shine!!! Today is my shopping/date day!!!! I love Thursdays!!!! Are you feeling on top of things today? I hope so! You are changing the world day by day- each thing you do! Really, you are! The feelings you instill in your children will be with them for a life time! That bright clean sink is more than a sink! The clean living room is more than a room! It is a FEELING of peace and happiness. The children will remember the feeling long after they live in your home. So make the FEELING of your home a happy one. A clean home is easy to have fun in. Just be sure that is why you are doing it. If the clean is to make room for joy and fun it is a good thing! If it is a pride- you better not mess it up- type of clean, it will not bring peace into your life. A clean table makes way for coloring, painting, cookie making,sewing,and kite building!!! It is not so Better Homes And Garden will come take your picture!!! A clean table lets you have fun, and make a mess, and be able to easily clean it back up when you are through! A messy table just keeps piling up!
Spread some sunshine around today! And let your little ones help!"GET OUT I AM CLEANING!" is not much of a memory. "Hey, lets clean off this messy table so we can make a kite !!!!!!! Here you put this stack of books up, while I sort these papers. Bet I can get done first!!!!" does. Smile mommies! You own the world! It is right there in front of you! Don't you see it? Shane- I homeschool too! I have a homeschool site on here under parents and family.
Chele- My husband and son came home last night with ANOTHER canary! It if funny, we had looked for so long, and have now found several! Anyway, we had stopped in a pet store to buy my son another Bete fish and they had red-factor canaries that were already red. They were singing! Well, my son told his dad how long I had stood there looking at them. So they went over after work and bought one!! I named the yellow one Lemon-aid and the other one Orange sherbet!
Vitaleh-I am glad you are making such great changes! It sounds like you are doing so well!

Okay ladies, I did it! I got out there and started walking! My husband and I set the alarm for 7, we snoozed a couple of times, but got up! We woke the baby up, we all got dressed, and we went outside!(With cheerios and a cup of milk of course!) As soon as we got outside it started to drizzle, since we had the baby all bundled in the stroller with a cover, we kept walking. We only walked for 15 min, it was very cold. We got home, made coffee for dh, and tea for me. By the time that was done it was snowing! That's life in New Jersey! You never know what to expect in the spring! Well, my dh is ready to walk with me, and diet too, and since we actually did it, I'm hoping it's a good start to a new habit! Well, thanks for your support!
I really like the flylady website. I find that adding a new healthy habit a day, by following the first email you get has really helped. Each week we clean a zone, but as i am moving along I am developing my own routine, so is the rest of the family. We've been practicing this for a week, and my husband has been telling me how proud he is of me! It's so nice to hear that! The SHE can be found on the flylady website as well. It's the same as the flylady program but developed for the working mom, it helps you organize your office, even if it is at home. You can print the pages out from the flylady website and put them in a binder. I also found a financial planner on flylady, which is also printable.It's called FACE, it's on the flylady homepage, scroll down until you see journals. I've been working on my finances all year, I paid off my student loan yesterday! I'm accomplishing new things everyday, and it feels so good! I'm going to start taking classes again in September, I'm going to get that degree if it kills me! I might be 40, but that's okay, I don't want to go back to work until my kids are in school. I want to try to squeeze one more baby in sometime next year. Well, I hope everyone has a great day!

It snowed here in NWPA last night and covered the ground. Not supposed to get out of the 30's.
I like the whole flylady concept but my house is small and I don't have "stuff". If we don't need it, it is gone. I have adapted a few of their ideas and have a chart for doing one big chore a day. It is working out great. I used to do it all in one day.
Barbara - Hearing that beautiful canary sing must be really motivating in the morning. Did you decide on a name yet or did I miss it?
Shane - Sorry to hear your family isn't feeling well. When my oldest got the chiken pox he didn't have only 3-4 pox on him but he had the fever/sick stuff. The dr said it was bc he got the cp shot. I am so glad I got it for him bc when I had them I was 13 and was so sick and covered from head to toe even on my eyeballs with pox. Hope everyone gets better soon!

Tell me more about S.H.E. is it something I can find online? I'm always looking for tips and tricks that work with me and that I CAN incorporate into my life.
There is just so much to manage in life as a stay at home mom: house, food, finances, weight management, I do some side work for income, I homeschool my children, and I need to keep everyone in semi peace. That's a lot.
I have found that for now changing my life style in regards to food and exercise have taken up a good chunk of my day. Getting more sleep, exercising everyday, Keeping track of what I eat, and spending time with you all. It will get better, I know. For now I will keep plugging away. :)

Good morning ladies! I woke to my canary singing this morning! He is still at it! I just love that sound! I finally got back exercising yesterday. I have been too hit and miss, and my weight shows it. I have not dropped an ounce in several weeks. So I am back on top of things now I think. I am glad you ladies are enjoying cleaning! It sure makes a calmer home when things are in place. Have a great day everyone. I will try to pop in later.

| I like FlyLady ok, but I really liked S.H.E. It stands for Sidetracked Home Executives. That plan works better for me. They're pretty similar but I can adapt it better to my needs.

I also like flylady. I am off of it right now. My house is so much nicer when I can stick to it. I have learned to have baby steps in all walks of life now, even with my weight loss. :)

Good evening ladies,
Sorry I haven't been around. I got hooked on this flylady site and have been cleaning like crazy. I got my garage cleaned out after a month of asking hubby, but I reaped the benefits. It made me feel good looking at it cleaned. Plus, I lost the calories doing it. So today I cleaned up the house. Still have dusting and vacumming to go but I love the flylady site. It has really opened my eyes since I started looking almost a week ago.

hello ladies!!
nothing really new here just busily packing boxes! we are moving at the end of this month, not sure if I posted that.
I am doing okay exercise wise. we have been so busy with everything that I have been getting plenty of exercise with walking.

Hey guys long time no speak. Well things are the same old, same old. I am so busy with the kids and working on my action steps, it feels like there is no time for anything else. I did have some extra time with hubby this week, his truck needed fixed and he was home for 4 days, and I got some time with him without the kids. We had lunch together two days in a row (out), and I did really well with my calories. The money will be tight next week, but I think that it was worth it. I hope everyone is doing well with everything that you set out to do. God Bless!

Hi! I'm a stay at home mom to three boys (7,5,2). Today we are on day two of rain and gloom. It so gets to me. My eldest is on day 4ish of having a fever. Before that my middle had it. So we have been sick for a few weeks. Plus we have been trying to catch chicken pox from friends. Does not look like we got it, bummer. My house is a disaster and I have no ambition to do anything about it. Tomorrow is another day and I hear it is going to be a nice weekend.

Good morning ladies!
Getting ready for garage sale to I have been trying on clothes this past week. Happy to report I can get rid of my 12-14. I am now in 9-10. Once upon a time (as Punk would say) I was a 2-4. That was BK (before kids). I would like to be a comfy 6. I was there in Nov & Dec of 2002 then found out I was pregnant with Punk. I am also starting to spring clean and if it isn't nailed down it will get a price tag. My oldest Jordan loves to do this bc he knows it means $$. He also likes to help on sale day bc he is a real people person and loves to talk.
Butterrfly - Great job on the 100lbs gone!! That is a whole person! Stick around there is some great advice and support here. I have only been here for about a month and I am reaping the rewards both with my family and weight loss.

| hi ladies. im new here. i have three very young boys. 5,4,2. with them came about 150 extra pounds. i have lost about 100 of it. potty trainig my 4 year old has become my new hurled these days.u hafe to love kids

Heather- I think it sounds like you are finding yourself again. You have taken on a large job. Your mother would be proud. I think the date night is a wonderful idea.
My hubby and I have a date every Thur. night! It really is an important thing to keep a close connection to your husband. That is for all of us. It is so easy to focus all your attention on the children. You will be a better mom if you are a great wife first. The blessings will flow down through your husband and you, to your children. Thank you so much. I'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks so much for being there. It's so hard to lose a parent. But we are lucky to have haad them as long as we have.
My mother had lung cancer. She was diagnosed in August, I think of 2004, and she died May 17, 2005. My 2 aunts, my husband, and my 2 younger sisters took care of her. I was a SAHM, with a one year old. I wanted to spend every moment with her tht I could. I also wanted my daughter to reap the benefit of being with her grandmotehr and vice versa. So, I took her to most of her radiation and chemo treatments for almost a year, with my daughter. I would get out the wheelchair, get my mom in it, then get the baby out and put her on my moms lap.I really think the baby made it so much easier. I don't think any of us would have made it through it, if it weren't for Rebecca.
SHe is a godsend. I tried for 3 years to get pregnant with her. I finally concieved 2 weeks after my grandfather died 3 years ago, of lung cancer as well.. He died May 1st of 2003, my little sisters 12th birthday. My mother was diagnosed a year later.
My grandfather died in the hospital, I held his hand right up until he took his last breath. It was devastating. He was my rock, he was practically my father.
I wanted my mother to have the most peaceful end possible. We took care of her and she passed very peacefully in her home. I miss her terribly, I feel like she's still with me somehow. I know she went to a better place. Maybe even the same place my grandfather went to. I have dreams about her all the time, she's always alive in the dreams, but still sick. She talks to me about stuff, like if i have somethng on my mind, it's almost like an answer. Maybe it's just my imagnation.
It's hard to deal with, mostly becasue of my sisters, the changes. We are going through so much but on different levels. They are doing much better, but still grieving. I have my mothers ashes in my living room. For along time I had them in my sunroom off of my bedroom, where I spent too much time. I was terribly depressed, I didn't do anythig at all, except take care of Rebecca, it was like she was the only thing that mattered. I was almost catatonic.
I've come a long way since then. I've pulled myself out of that horrible place that I was in. Ive realized that I am strong, and I have so many reasons to be happy. I've had so many wonderful memories of my mother, and the life we shared. She gave me so much, I appreciate her and the struggles that she went through as a single parent. I miss her, but understand that she had to go. Her suffering was immense, and i wouldn't wish that on anyone. I hope that I was able to give her some happiness and comfort when she needed it, and pray that she is safe and watching over us. Someday her and I will meet again.
My job now is to raise her children, includng myself. I've got so much more growing to do so I can become a woman, mother, and wife that my mom would be proud of. I'm fighting everyday to be strong, and stay focused. I'm not going to be bogged down by illness or depression, I'm going to give this life I've been lucky enough to get, everything i've got. Thanks so much for being there. It helps to know that I've got friends out there rooting for me. Lord knows, sometimes I feel like my friends are all I've got. My family is a strange sort, so emotionless. So guarded. I'm not like that. I'm here, and i'm deep and passionate. I think they think I'm an oddball!
Well, I'm doing pretty well with the flylady routine. I had a bad diet weekend, wih lot's of eating out. The hubby had a big bonus this week, so we did allot of out of the house activities. We had a wonderful family weekend jusy Ray, Rebeeca, and me. We need that so much. Ray and I are recconecting. I'm trying so hard to be a better wife. I was so sad for so long, i guess I forgot about him, i was so buy blaming him for everything. I've been trying to do nice things for him, and he's doing it back. We are untied again, that's a feeling I'm not going to let slip away again. We are going to start date night once a week, I hope that helps. I just have to learn to order salds, instead of big platters of fajitas! HOw can I not order fajitas? I had no idea it was 1800 calories with 80 grams of fat! Yesterday was a bad day. I was honest on my menu, and i did much better today. I will do better this week. Besides it's time to stop whining and get out there and exersize! Thanks for letting me gab guys. I love reading all of yur posts you are all such an inspiration! I think I can get through anything with you guys on my side!

Hi ladies!
we had a good day of thrift store-ing! I had the luxury of going with just my 2 year old, as my daughter played at her friends house. I would have rather gone with her because she's 4, but mr. 2 did very well!
I got all of Ellas summer clothes and a couple of shirts for myself for under 2o bucks. Mr. 2 is taken care of because he has an 8 year old brother, so I guess next month its the 8 year old's turn! By then I hope to need some new pants! lol

| Laundry - isn't it the bane of every family?!! I agree that everyone should pitch in. I like the idea of folding on the table in the afternoon so that it has to be put away if everyone wants to eat dinner. :)

Sweetangelsong~ Welcome! I understand the laundry situation and there's only 4 of us here! lol I do 2 loads a day.My husband's work clothes take up a lot of room in the washer, he's a big guy- 6'6"! I wash his separately because he works in construction.I always say to him that someone needs to invent a dryer that folds the clothes! lol
Punksmom~ My little girl has had glasses since she was 6 months old. I feel for your son about starting Jr. High with braces and glasses! lol But they do make cool looking frames now.

Good morning ladies! I have had a fun weekend with my daughter here from TX! So nice to have the older ones come visit!!
Sweetanglesong- Welcome! So glad to have you here!I had to laugh about the laundry question! I still have 10 kids at home, so we do a bunch ourselves!! We do 5 loads a day, every day. Each of my children know how to run the washer and dryer. They can do it by themselves from 7 years old up. We just take turns keeping it going during the day. Then in the afternoon my 7,9,9,10,11 year olds each fold one basket on the table. Then everyone helps put it away. I like to do it then because it has to be put away before supper!! It never sits around that way! We do use a lot of towels too.
We use 24 rolls of toilet paper every two weeks.So I guess you would use half of that!!!!
We homeschool so I skipped the taxi feeling!!

Well it is in the low 30s here in northern Minnesota with a high in the mid 40s. Hoping to get dd out this afternoon to play on the swingset. I'm hoping this week goes a lot better for me then last. Sweetangelsong - There are only 4 of us and I can't believe the never ending laundry. Some people might not like this idea but we use our towels more than once (not washcloths). I figure that you are getting out of the shower and you are clean so...we don't use each others but hang and reuse our own a couple of times before they get washed. Just a thought.
It is partly sunny her in NWPA this morning and only about 50. It is supposed to storm later today.
I will be picking Jordan up from school to an eye dr appt. I hope he is like his dad and doesn't need glasses but he says things are fuzzy around the edges and they get sharper when he puts on some of his friends glasses. I was his age when I got both glasses and braces. What a way to start Jr high! Talk about a geek! LOL!! He already has braces and will be getting them off in about 6 months. I don't look forward to high school next year as the girls are already crazy about him. Their mom's love him too they think he is just so polite and cute. Boy am I gonna need some advice on that in a few months. Right now he has had the same girlfriend Sam for 6 months. They don't "date" they only see each other in school and I have warned, threatened, and scared the bejeezes out of him about holding hands or kissing or anything bc I don't want him to get kicked out of school. Sam is scared of me (don't know why I didn't think I was that scary) but maybe that is a good thing right now!

But I usually have a load cause of the baby and hubby. Lots of toliet paper huh? I hope you enjoy being at home. It has its moments for me, but wouldn't have it any other way.

Hello stay at home moms. I am a stay at home mom of 5 children. Have 6 children but my oldest one decided it was time to get his on place when the baby came. LOL. Painted his room pink. Anyway I resigned from my career last year to stay home. I am 43 years old and raising another baby. It is difficult to say the least but still a blessing. I have one in High School, 1 in Middle School, 2 in Elementary and the BABY... Feel like I am a Taxi. Anyway have a question for anyone with lots of kids like me... THE LAUNDRY.... Never ends.. Any suggestions on keeping towels clean. Maybe I just need to buy more. I am always running out. Also has anyone ever figured out how much toilet paper a family of 7 uses. It most be alot cause I am always buying it..LOL.. GOD BLESS THE STAY AT HOME MOMS..

Boy- what beautiful weather today. We spent the day moving calves and grinding feed for this week and moving hay. Trying to get ahead of the game for next week. Also rebuilding the kids rabbit hutch so the rabbits can leave the shop and go back outside. Burned the heck out of my face- I guess it's sunblock season again. Yippie!
My daughter (#2) is having her first confession tomorrow. Hoping she won't be too nervous!

Mindee - So glad you got the apartment you wanted and with the bonus of walking paths. Just moving is alot of work and exercise. I know I had muscles hurt I didn't even know I had!! LOL!!
Vowelmom - That's wonderful you dropped another size!! Going to the flea market without the munchkins is a reward in itself. I know my reward is going to the consignment shop for clothes when manage to get to a size I don't already have waiting in the closet.

I am off to curves this am, and then to a favorite "flea market" sale of mine. I have Ella in a full bed, and there just isnt enough room in her and aarons room for it, so I want to see if they have a twin there. I could use some clothes too. I dropped a size! Yehaw!
I have my babysitter comming over, so I get a little free time this am. I am looking forward to it.

the place we are moving to is right acrossed from the beach, and there is a walking path. so I will be getting exercise in that form as well as working out on my own!

What a day!!!
The short version is my husband's uncle came by and started trouble today. When asked to leave he wouldn't. I convinced my husband to go with the kids and me to the Y swimming to get out of the situation. Stopped at another relatives on the way and suggested she talk to the uncle about leaving because if he was there when we returned I would have to call the police to have him removed as I refuse to have this kind of scene/situation at my home and around my kids. The uncle was gone when we returned.
The good news is I got an extra work out at the pool and got to spend time with my immediate family so that was good. A little draw back in that I didn't get the things around the house done that I wanted but there is always tomorrow for that.

Good morning ladies!
50 and sunny here in NWPA already this morning. Sorry I didn't get to stop in yesterday it was crazy. Went to school for music class for music in our schools week. On the way to town noticed the gauges in my vehicle weren't working. So, turned around and headed to local shop to have it checked. Ok to drive but went to mom's and left Punk to play and took mom's van to the store. Came home and cleaned a little while Punk took his nap. J came home from school and took Punk out to play while I made some dinner for them before baseball practice. Chased Punk around for 2 hours during practice then found out the electrical system in my vehicle would not turn off. When it got dusk the lights came on and you can't shut them off. Came home and called hubby who is out of town til tonight and we decided I should try to disconnect the battery. I have a battery that the cables are on the inside under a bunch of hoses and wires so...we called a friend that lives 2 miles away and he came up in the dark and he unhooked the battery while I held the flashlight. But...the silver lining??...we decided to hook it back up and lo and behold...the computer reset itself and it seems to be ok now. Usually this is something that would have me very upset but since being here I am reminded that there are people going through so much.
I know what it is like to lose a parent young. I was 6 when I lost my father in an accident. I remember that day like it was yesterday and it was 31 years ago. Please be happy you had all the time you did with yours. I know there is never enough time but most of what I have I don't remember and what I do, has come to me in dreams. I would go to my mom and say "I had this dream..." and she would say "that wasn't a dream you were 2 or 3..." and then will in the blanks. I found that my mind had supressed alot because of the shock. Last year was hard for me bc I was at the age my father was when he was killed (36). Yesterday was his birthday. Maybe he was testing my faith?!?!
Thanks for listening and I want to let you know you are not alone and there is always someone in a worse position than you. You can get through this. I do believe that God does not give us more than we can bear. What he does give us makes us stronger in spirit and in body.

hello ladies!! welcome to all the new members! hi Karen!
first things first, we are MOVING!!!! We went and dropped off our application to the first place on our list on Thursday, and wouldn't you know it, they called us about 15 to 20 minutes later and said that we are approved! So, we will be moving the end of April!
Also, we were down state for most of Thursday (as well as most of Friday) and I did very good with my eating! I got Subway for lunch, but then ended up feeling sick after I ate it, so I guess eating it every once in a blue moon is a shock to my stomach! LOL
