Well, I won't have to worry about early morning wake-up calls as much in two weeks. We are moving out of the MIL's house and into our own townhome. (yay!) Both kids will have their own rooms once we move, too. So excited about the prospect of being able to turn on my bedroom light when I go to bed or setting the alarm and not worrying about it waking my DD!!!
PARTTIMER - Sounds like a pretty bright little boy! I can't believe an 8yr old is interested in the news. Wow!

| My youngest was always up at 4:00AM. Every morning. He would wander through the house until he got someone awake to fix him breakfast or play. One morning, he woke his oldest sister and she brought him into my room and showed him how to turn on the TV. Now every day he curls up at the foot of my bed and watches the news and tells me what has happened. Now while I'm still half sleeping he will tell me his plans for the entire day. He's 8 now and these early morning chats still continue. He's now making plans for what he wants to do next summer and watches the new to find a future career. He will make a great alarm clock. LOL He's in bed by 8:30 every night. Doctor said not to be concerned.

| hi, i know what you mean about the blonde thing. my daughter is almost 3 and she is blonde. she knows that if she wants me to get up all she has to do is wake up her 5 month old brother. she is smart as a whip. i think she is going to give me a real run for my money when she gets older

| Oh, I can sympathize with you on this one! On the mornings that my twin boys have pre-school, they sleep in. On the days I can sleep in a bit (after getting the older kids off to school, of course!) the twins are up at the crack of dawn. Argh!! Little brats! lol

| Oh, this sounds so familiar. My 3.5 year old daughter got a digital clock for her nightstand for Christmas. (Her idea because she wanted her nightstand to be just like mommy's.) My husband had the great idea of telling her she has to stay in her room (unless she has to use the bathroom) until the first number is a 7. Then he made her clock 20 minutes or so behind real time. Hee Hee. It doesn't work every morning because some mornings she comes out to say, "It's not seven yet!" over and over again.

| I have to laugh at this. My "baby" is 7 and sleeps till 8 a.m. now, but when she was younger she'd always wake up between 5:30 and 6:30. The more I wanted to sleep in, the earlier she woke up. The only times she did sleep in were on the days I had to get up early anyway.

| Whomever said blondes were dumb has never met my little 3.5yr old DS! (rofl!)

| Sounds like a smart choice on his part!

| Yeah, and wouldn't you know it. It's 8:30am and he's still asleep after he decided to go back to bed so he didn't have to take a nap this afternoon for getting up so early.(lol)

| That sounds about normal. It seems like some weeks they play tag team of who's going to wake me up in the middle of the night. I understand all too well!

Okay this has nothing to do with health issues. I'm just really angry with my 3.5yr old son. Why, you ask? It wasn't even 6:30am and he was awake and in his sister's crib with her.(she's in our room) This woke her up which, of course, woke me up! The one morning I decide to sleep in and he gets up at the crack of dawn! This is a boy who usually sleeps until 9am. Well, after I was done yelling at him and telling him that he was indeed taking a nap today for getting up so early he decides to go back to bed!!! So, now here I sit wide awake. My 1.5yr old DD is awake and he is back to sleep. I guess I need to be angry with their daddy as well. He was the brilliant one who left the hall light on which, I'm sure woke up my DS.
Okay, done complaining now.
