| School doesn't start for another couple of weeks here and I'm getting a little anxious too. I have one entering grade 12 *sniff sniff* (his last year). Two into grade 11. One is just entering grade 9, her first year of highschool. One into grade 7 and one into grade 4. I still get to keep my youngest home for one more year and then he is off to JK :( Yes, the kids know you love them. They will be kept so busy over the first few days, they won't have time to notice how much they are supposed to miss you too. It will be a better day tomorrow.

Hang in there! It gets better. I've been through this, but a few years ago. The kids are incredibly more resiliant and more easily adaptable than we are. Remember, they are busy doing new things every day while you see the hole where your younger on ought to be in your day while school is going on. Be there when they get home and stay involved!
They know you care--even if they don't show it.

I have a daughter who just started Kindergarten, one son in the 5th grade, and the third in 8th. The younger 2 are in the same school.
I am so emotionally attached to these kids and have cried the past two days. Not in front of them....
The school that the younger 2 are going to is brand new so the morning organization is ridiculous. First they tell the kids to go outside after breakfast, then mid-way there they tell the kids to go back in. Then just as the kids sat down they called all kindergartens to follow this teacher which from where I was I couldn't see. They all shuffled away so fast and my daughter got confused and held onto me. My husband stayed with my son and I took my daughter. After dropping her off I went to see my son. He had already gone with his class.
Now I feel bad because I didn't say I love u to him.
I know it sounds dumb but I feel this way and I know as the year goes on I'll feel better but right now I feel like crap. Anybody else feel like this????
