Congratulations on the progress everyone is making. Stabet, good luck on getting back on track! I'm sure you'll make it.

I think I'm at the point where I'll actually count making it below 200. It's a good feeling to jump on the scale and not have to move it that extra notch. Three more pounds and I'll make my goal.

Congrats to everyone on your weight loss! Alas, my lack of exercise and less than wise food choices last week resulted in a gain of 2.6 pounds. I kind of expected some gain, but not that much. It looks like 230 by 6/4 is off the table, so now I'm looking to get into the 230s by then.

Hey guys, I dropped 4 ponds last week and it feels great. I have been consuming more water than ever before and I have cut soda from my diet. Also, more fresh fruits and vegetables have helped. Let's keep it going.

Previous weigh-in 05/05-218
Last week (forgot to post) 05/12 - 217.0
Today 05/19 - 213.5...

Not sure I'm gonna get below 200 before that vacation only 3-1/2 weeks til we leave. Gonna try to do everything I can to get there though.

I did my weekly weigh in this morning and I was down below 175lbs which is great, means I lost 2pounds last week.

There's a lake near my folks place that I run around, it's about 4miles. I ran it 3times like weeks I'm going to shoot for 5 this week and I also need to start getting ready for the timed run I'm going to have to do for my test.

Well, I was able to run a 5k I had signed up for today, and I felt pretty good at the finish. It was about a minute slower than my last one a few weeks ago, but I was a bit concerned about my pulled muscle, so I may have taken it a little bit easy (at least that's my excuse!). The conference at work is over, so there shouldn't be any more breakfast Goodies to tempt me - I should be back on track this week.

It's been a rough one for me as well. I ate a little too much a day or so ago. On Thursday, I had to work a very long time so didn't get a chance to sleep. I'm still trying to recover from that but it might take me until Monday or so to get back on track. That also messed up my eating habits so things are interesting. Hopefully I will be able to weigh my self in a few days as well.

Minor setback this week for me as well. I pulled a stomach muscle playing volleyball Tuesday, so I haven't done any cardio since then. Then, just to add to the problems, we had a conference running the whole week at work, complete w/muffins and donuts for breakfast, various snacks during the day, an so forth, which didn't help matters. So, I'm up about a pound this week - not insurmountable, but annoying. I'm running a 5k tomorrow morning, provided I don't cramp up, so with any luck, I'll be back to a real workout routine by Monday.

Hey everyone I hope you are all doing well in your goals to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. I had a minor setback last night at the Brewers game. Gonna hit the gym hard today and hopefully get back on the right step. Keep up the hard work.

I'm with you on the pony keg. At least mine is down from a full keg.

I had a bad weigh in this morning and I'm a bit off track. So I only had 1600 calories today, all of it very healthy. I should bounce back with a better weigh in tomorrow morning.

Although a 6-pack sounds great, I'd be happy just to get rid of my pony keg by then.

Ha ha! Sounds great Glavein, good to have you. I weighed in a day or so ago and am still at 202. I also changed up my eating a little so that might have something to do with it. Only time will tell.

I'd like to tag in if that's cool with you guys. I actually just started almost two weeks ago. Begining weight 181 and I'm at 177 as of this morning. I like the weekly weigh-ins as a group, keeps me motivated.

My Goal is to weigh 170 by June fith, that's about 2 lbs a week. I have a Physical Fitness practice test I want to be ready for. And a longer term goal of getting a 6-pack for summer.

HELLLLOOOO LADIES! LOL

Agreed...to each his own. I read an article somewhere by a guy who liked knowing exactly what he weighed each day, so he could make adjustments if he needed to. I don't let myself get discouraged anymore, because I know I'm in it for the long haul this time.

A little bit late here but I'll join. My mini goal for June 1st is 225 lbs. I'm 0.2 lbs off track as of this morning.

STABET, It's just how you look at it. I weigh and track my progress daily. Some days I go up. That's how it is. However, after a few months of doing it, I know what to expect. What I think would be worse is if you weigh yourself weekly and happen to have a higher day on that day. You would think that you haven't done well that week. Anyway, whatever works for you is best.

Good luck and welcome to the challenge! I'm stuck where I'm at right now but I'm sure I'll see some changes soon. I agree with you about not weighing yourself all the time though.

I'm in for 2# per week... Going on vacation starting June 11, and hope to be in (or very near) ONEderland by then. (that would be almost 4# per week, so I'm not so sure I'll make it, but gonna try)... LW (05/05) = 218

Proof positive that you shouldn't weigh yourself every day. I did pretty well overall yesterday - about 2000 calories, plenty of water, 30 minutes on the stationary bike - and weighed 3 pounds more this morning than I did yesterday morning! Maybe not the most frustrating thing in the world, but pretty high up there on my list. However, it's motivating me to try a little harder today, and maybe this time I'll avoid the scale until Monday.

I like the idea of losing two pounds a week. My scale just started moving this week again so please count me in.

Sounds great, the more the merrier! Ha ha! I'd also like to congratulate you on your soon to be anniversary. Sounds like a good time!

Good luck and I look forward to hearing about your progress.

Welcome aboard. I think some of the best motivation comes from peers. I am glad I have somewhat of a support group that I can vent with or at least compare notes with. Good luck in your goal and congrats on the anniversary.

Sounds like a good challenge to me. My wife and I are going to Universal Studios in Orlando the first week in June as a 15th wedding anniversay/second honeymoon thing, and I'd like to get below 230 by then (I was 240.0 this morning). This should be a good motivator - count me in!

Today I was all cardio. I ran for 15 minutes on the treadmill and I also did 20 minutes on the elliptical machine. At weigh in, my weight had not moved from yesterday. I know I will get there. Tyler, congrats on the below 200 mark. That is great.

I agree Sartori, that is definitely attainable. As far as my progress goes, I ran about 50 minutes yesterday at a moderate pace which was a good time. Today, we did some push ups, sit ups, pull ups and a short 10 minute run. I weighed myself but I'm not counting it. I weighed 202 on one scale and 199(!) on the other. It was cool to see the 199 but like I said we'll see what happens.

I am gonna shoot for 10 pounds. I know I cant lose it all at once but that gives me somewhere to start.

Hang in there Sartori -- it looks like we've both been at this since December or so. All we really need to do is stick to the plan. You can definately reach your goals.

Any goal you wanna reach in May?

Well I can't remember the last time I was under 200lbs. Probably in 8th grade. I am up for your challenge though. I need a little motivation right now and I think I found my place. My goal is 235 before September 16th(wedding anniversary).

Cool Tyler. Looks like you're close to being under 200 too! That's going to be a good feeling for me ...probably about 5 years since I've weighed less than 200.

Hey guys I've hit a bit of a plateau and was hoping that a few of us could commit to reaching our weight loss objectives in the month of May. Maybe we can update our progress each week. I need a little extra motivation this month.

My personal challenge: I would like to lose at least 2 lbs a week and weigh 196 by June 5th. I think that goal is reachable. Current weight: 206.

Anybody else out there willing to accept my challenge? Let's keep each other motivated.
