| I thought the chiefs did well for once in the draft. Losing Allen was a tough price to pay, but the team will never get better until they get some better personnel. Dorsey should be fun to watch this season.

| Nice thoughts on Seattle and Kevin Smith. Time will tell on Kevin. You're right about that offensive line. UGH.

Really like my Seahawk's draft. Jackson was a nice value and we now have 3 legit DEs, which I can't remember ever saying about this team. The Carlson pick was awesome - probably the most complete TE in the draft. I'd rather have a TE that's good at everything but great at nothing than a one-trick pony, and he's a great fit in the west coast offense we run.
Still, Red Bryant at DT in round 4 is easily my favorite pick. Our D is built speedy and undersized on purpose, but a squad like that NEEDS a big man in the middle like this to really work at it's highest level, especially in poor conditions.

| the broncos did pretty well for the draft. The first 2 picks were exactly what the coaches wanted. Shanahan went on to say that it was the first draft he's ever had where the 2 first picks he wanted were available and he drafted them. So we have a great offensive tackle and finally have a kick and punt returning threat.

| He won't do much if he doesn't have an offensive line in front of him. They also need to develop a better passing game with those receivers to take pressure off the running game. He may also have trouble running against both Minnesota and Green Bay defenses which are very strong against the run and whom Smith will play twice.

| GO LIONS! I'm actually a Bengal fan but since I live in Michigan, I try to root for another losing team. LOL. I am very interested to see how their new RB, Kevin Smith will do. I think he is going to show a thing or two to all those non-believers. My rookie of the year pick is Kevin Smith. This guy was a monster in college.

| With the changes that both the Packers and Vikings made this offseason, the opening week Monday night matchup will be fun to watch...

My wife heard me all the way upstairs, over the TV, screaming obcenities at the top of my lungs! It was one of those,"Boy it's been a while since Brett was picked off" kinda moments.

How depressed were you when the Packers lost on New York? I just about cried....I thought they pretty much threw it away. I understand there was so much pressure, but still.
Yeah, I can't wait to see how the Pack does with Aaron.

Aaron is a great QB, and will show this more when he gets a chance other than going in after a Favre injury in Dallas. In that game, a "kid" with virtually no pro playing time went in an made up a large deficit against a strong team, and almost won the game. Aaron Rodgers is for real folks. He's been studying under Brett Favre for how many years now?? I think he's picked up enough tricks, and has enough of his own talent to be successful. Now, on to thoughts on the draft, Packers wise. Not sure we needed to grab 2 QB, but the rest of the picks did address needed position filling. I am excited for the season, and have confidence in the Pack!

No Aaron Rogers has been there for a while, he's just never played because of Brett.
Well, maybe the Vikings will stand a chance this year, and my dad won't be so depressed. That will make our Packer-Viking parties more interesting too.

| I agree the Vikings did a nice job. The Packers certainly surprised me by drafting a QB. Aaron Rogers? maybe not so fast!
|
|
|
|
| The Vikings did well to trade their pick to Kansas City to get a player they could not have gotten from the draft in Jared Allen, then got a steal in the second round by getting who some thought was the best safety in the draft. The Vikings have a real good shot at winning the NFC North. The other 3 teams are down and Minnesota was already better, so they were going to be the favorites anyway, but they got better in the draft.

What about the Packers...sorry, but I couldn't resist posting. Hopefully Aaron Rogers has something up his sleeve.

| I'm fairly happy with the Bengals pick of Keith Rivers. We need DEF. badly... :( Well, hopefully he can help out one of the worst D's in the history of the game. I'm crossing my fingers once again this year.
