| not sure yet, write back in a month or so to remind me and i'll be able to give you a more honest answer...i'll tell you what though..its a good painfull surgery for the 1st 10 days..feels like you got brillo pad in your freshly scraped throut and tampons up ur nose but i do breath like i never breathed before...but on the brighter side i lost 20 pounds and quit smoking so i got no regrets...cheers

| Hey BD, just wondering how the surgery went, I have apnea too, for years now, stopped using the CPAP machine weeks after I got it. so I get what rest I can in my side, facing down with the pillows just right. If the surgery works for you maybe I'll look into it.

| I have sleep apnea-but use a CPAP machine at night to counter it.Now that I have lost a bit of weight I need to have my air pressure dropped. My doctor said that I would be a good canidate for the surgery-but that I also might want to see if my weight loss alone might correct the condition-he said that he has had patients that have been cured through weight loss alone.

| What surgery are you having? Most of what I read is that the surgery does not work in the majority of the people.

Definitely talk with your doctor first about his suggestions. Otherwise, you can make some really good "health shakes" on your own. Get some plain, or vanilla, yogurt, a banana or two, ice, milk, and any other type of fruit you like. Throw it all in a blender and let it rip. You'd be amazed how great it tastes and how healthy it is.
If that doesn't quite suit your fancy, check your local store for some of the breakfast shakes out there. I've never tried them, but some people really like the shakes made by Slim Fast, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, etc.
