Well for a team that does not deserve to be in the playoffs the Giants seem to have done pretty well. Or is this going to be another long discussion on how the Packers blew it?

I can wait until the Giants and the Pats meet again.

Go Big Blue!

There is alot to be said about a team who has nothing to lose, I do agree with that.

The Bolts going back to Foxboro after being the dogs last week. That's why they still have to play the games. Will the Chargers win? Who knows. Who'll actually suit up to play? Not sure yet.

But New England Brady worship and talk of the perfect season aside, one thing is certain: No one thought Norv could drive them this far and the Chargers have nothing to lose walking in on Sunday. And the Patriots still have to play the game before they book airfare to the Super Bowl. Should be fun to watch.

Accuscore, which is promoted by yahoo. you can listen to the talking heads all day long and its still just opinoins. Accuscore is a computer model. Numbers dont lie. They're sayin Patriots and cheeseheads hands down. Even if the venues were switched to favor the underdogs. If it is a Packer victory Im sure Farve will stick around to have the youngest team in the NFL carry him another season before he drifts off into his golden years.

My bad though, When I said Farve wasnt comming back I think I was thinking of McCarthy and I see he's about to re-up his contract. I keep him too.

First, where are you getting your info? Even Yahoo and ESPN have been reporting Favre is planning on playing again next year.
Second, Look on ESPN or Yahoo and see that the "experts" are predicting a Packer Victory. Sorry to tell ya, we're coming to end your "perfect" season.
Just another delusional Patriots fan

Even if they happen to get lucky and beat the Patriots, enjoy it while it lasts because I hear Farve may not be back next season. Besides I would rather be a chowderhead than a cheesehead. 60% of polls also say the Giants are going to handle you guys anyway. In the end it might end up being Chargers/Giants on the 3rd of Feb. Ouch

Anyone notice how the Patriots fans have come out of the woodwork this year and take every chance they can to proclaim Brady and team as invincable?
I hate to burst your bubble, They haven't played the packers yet this year. Brett is on a roll, with a young team. I am more than confidant they can handle the "chowderheads" much like they did in their last Superbowl win!

there's a reason why my cousin calls NE the Hatriots, you know. their perfect season may or may not be inevitable, but jets fans everywhere are crossing our fingers for a chargers victory. as improbable as that may seem.

sorry to have to disapoint you, the grin is gonna be from having the perfect season. look at the bright side at least Farve can look forward to making Levis commercials in the off season

Oh yeah, the Giant's had a good game, Manning was doing great at not getting the hell beat out of him. Romo on the other hand was getting hit constantly in the second half.
Didn't they lose last time in the playoffs by a INT?

"where's the patriots love"????? Sure ain't in PackerLand, cuz we're gonna wipe that grin off Brady's face in the Bowl!

Favre against Eli Manning. I will take Favre everytime. I hope the Chargers beat the Patriots. That's who I want to win, but I think it will be Packers/Patriots.

whoooooooooooo hooooooooooo the cowboys are out. anyone but them being a steeler fan anyone but them. oh now let the packers lose my mother-in-law likes them so packers lose to the giants patriots lose to the bolts and your 2007 champions is the San Diego Chargers

Well, after seeing the results of today, I have to say I see a Packers/Pats Super Bowl. Today certainly was the day of upsets. I didn't get a chance to watch the Dallas/NYG game, but the Colts played like crap. They had absolutely no defense compared to most of the season.

I think next week is going to be very interesting.

The colts have to beat the bolts first

I think the Packers have a legitimate shot at beating the Patriots and im not just saying this because I'm a Packer fan. The Packers have the ability to play the Pats man up and create a pass rush with the tenacious d-line. They key to beating the Patriots is to hit Brady hard and often. I think the Colts have the best shot at knocking off the Pats though because both teams know each other so well and the Colts can score in bunches.

As much as I hate to say it. I don't see anyone knocking off the Pats. The Packers are the only team with a legitimate shot, because of Favre.

That's right, the Green and Gold Express drives on! I told ya before, this train ain't stopping till we get to the bowl!
I'm going to wait till after tomorrow's AFC game to predict who we'll be playing there.

IMO whichever team makes it to the superbowl from the AFC will win the game, be it the Patriots or Colts, I don't think any other team has a very good chance to beat them.

a pats-cowboys SB would be a "who the hell do you root for?" game for me. though at the end of the day, i would definitely be rooting for the 'boys. while i don't like them, i HATE the pats.

The Seahawks ain't going to make it past the Packers.
I am really hoping the Patriots choke big time this weekend!
I'm just glad my office fantasy league is done so I can quit cheering on the Cowboys.

Go pats, 16-0! I think the superbowl will be the pats and the cowboys. I feel that the cowboys will steamroll the giants and little old eli. And the pats will play hard and get the job done. Of course I am knocking on wood, but I just do not see anyone stopping us.

Wow, I'm starting to feel really sorry for Big Ben. They are beating the snot outta him tonight. There went my pick for this game right outthe window.

yes i agree about eli. what in the hell was his dad thinking stepping in and saying he wouldnt sign with the chargers. bet he feels stupid everyday for denying the chance to be handing off the ball to LT and throwing to Gates instead of dropped the ball again shockey

yes, i am also rooting for the giants in spite of eli manning, and definitely not because of him. that kid, for all his initial arrogance coming into the draft, looks perpetually like a deer in headlights. every time i look at him, i think "they sent a boy to do a man's job..."

I don't dislike the Steelers as much as I dislike other teams. I am not a Giants fan....because of Eli Manning thinking he was bigger than the game when he got drafted and refusing to go to San Diego. I am also not a Patriots fan....even though I do like Vrabel.

Here we go Steelers, here we go. I know being a Bengals fan Steelers in playoffs doesnt make you happy. But, thanks to Carson for having a "weak" knee or steelers defense, as i see it, we got one in 2005 and i'm happy we got the chance to try and get another ring in 07. So here we go Steelers here we go.

the jets' season went much like that famous jim mora speech..."playoffs? PLAYOFFS?? don't talk about...playoffs?!?"

so, needless to say, i am rooting for big blue on the NFC side and someone to kick the stuffing out of the patriots on the AFC side (highly unlikely, i know).

I'll follow the Chargers right now. Still not a big fan of Norv but he seems to have LT's confidence so I'll shut up on that. If they don't make it, I'll root for Jacksonville. No one wants a piece of the Jags right now.

I think the Packers will make it through on the NFC side. It just seems like Favre's year.

I'm a HUGE 'Skins fan. But figuring they aren't too much of a threat, I'd love to see history with that New England. I'm not a big fan of them, but this is a once in a lifetime chance to see an undefeated team.

Since my team is out, I will probably cheer for the underdog in each game. Although it would be nice to see the Pats go 19-0

I think I will have to say Jacksonville and the Packers....even though I will pick a specific team for each game. Not many better weekends of the year with football on both Saturday and Sunday, and, of course, the Buckeyes playing Monday night.

As a Dolphins fan, I kind of had to pick another team to carry to the postseason back in early October. I was tracking the Browns for a while, but they didn't make it (and it figures that two 9-7 teams in the NFC did,) so at this point, I'll take the Jaguars and Giants, or more realistically, anyone who can beat New England or Dallas.
RONIN672
1/3/08 1:44 P

Nope, I don't have to switch teams. You really don't see that much up here in Packer Country.
We're kinda die hard when it comes to football, win or lose, that's our team.

What are playoffs? Is that that stuff they show on TV after the season is over? I always wondered why they never show the Jets.

Is there anyone else that picks a new team "to follow" if their team didn't make it to the playoff? There are a few teams that I am going to be "rooting for" and a few that I will be "rooting against"!
