Unfortunately for me - being a sarcastic person myself - sarcasm doesn't work well on the web - LOL!

We will have to see what the playoffs hold, but you are right. The Cowboys will still have their hands full when Favre is in instead of Rodgers.

Sorry Eric, I figured you'd get the sarcasim in the fact that I used the same logic against your statement that you used . They really need a "Dodgy" emoticon here!
But, the fact remains the only team that has beat us this year, that is still playing, is the Cowboys. I am positive we will give them the fight of their life again this game. Nothing against Aaron Rodgers, but he's not Favre, and that's going to be the difference maker when it come time for them to butt heads again.

Wow! The Giants really choked that one away in the last few minutes. They couldn't manage the clock to save their lives.

Ronin, I never said the Bears were better than the Packers, but that the Packers couldn't be a clearly inferior team - twice. The logic that any team is better than another based on common opponents is very flawed logic on your part. It never holds true.

Making the playoffs is not the endgame. Making some noise in the playoffs is what counts, and the Packers are never as good as their fans think they are.

Yeah,we lost to the Bears both games this year Eric, but at least we MADE the playoffs! Can your Bears say that? While we're on that, your Bears lost both games to the "Viqueens" and the Lions, which we beat(or in the case of the Lions will beat) both games, so your logic is rather flawed.
You knew someone would say it!LOL

No team that lost to the Bears twice will be in the Super Bowl. Sorry Packer fans, but it just ain't gonna happen.

Patriots and Cowboys and the Pats will finish perfect, shutting up those annoying '72 Dolphins forever.

I'd like to see the Colts and the Packers, but, I feel that it'll be the Pats and the 'Boys.

I think the "Anyone but New England" sentiment comes from dealing with the more rabid Patriot fans. If you've ever spent time on a national sports board like ESPN or CBS, you won't be there longer than 5 minutes before you have to deal with an over the top, obnoxious Pats or BoSox fan. Even the Celtic fans are getting out of freaking control now that they landed Kevin Garnett. Sure every team has an a-hole or two hundred that follows them but Boston fans take that attitude to a whole new and scary level. They're bad winners. It gets to the point where those of us outside of Foxboro long for the days when they weren't winning. Then you could deal with them.

Would I be able to root for the Raiders or Broncos in the Super Bowl? As a Charger fan, probably not. I might tolerate the Chiefs, only because my wife lived in KC for a few years.

I'm a Dolphins fan.

Now that you're finished pointing and laughing at me, it's that simple - would a Giants fan be happy seeing Dallas advance to the Super Bowl? What about a Raiders fan watching the Chargers march to the big game?

That's why I hate the Pats. Team loyalty.

That and the whole "running up the score" and "cheating" business - it may not be cheating, but it's far from classy.

I think it's everything you mentioned and then some.
Personally, I feel that the "cheating scandal" has had something to do with this years playing. It also seems to me that every game I have watched, the ref's seem to "hand them" alot of plays. You know the ones, nit pick penalties on the opponants, that the Patsies just did the same thing 3 plays before without a flag. The Raven's game was a fine example of that. When the guys in the announce booth are basicly asking if the refs are watching the same game, it makes you wonder.
The final thing is the running up the score. I mean c'mon, show some class, you don't have to rub it in a lesser teams face by running up 30 unanswered points for your ego's sake.
I mean hell, I'd be happy to let my boyz in the Green and Gold give the Patsies a run for their money, but I think N.E. is gonna choke in the play offs.

If I may ask,

Why are people so adverse to New England winning the Super Bowl?

Is it the alleged cheating scandal?

Is it the disdain people hold for Bellicheck?

What is the reason?
