Do you know what's in those lipotropic injections? Vitamin B-12 injections are a common treatment for people with a deficiency, since it can be hard to digest and absorb B-12 from vitamin pills or even from food in some cases. And there are some other medical problems where it can be helpful, including fatigue and anemia, but I don't know of any evidence that it helps with weight loss in otherwise healthy people. It could possibly help you increase your workout intensity a bit.
I'm not aware of any lipotropic supplements that have scientific support, either. It would be interesting to know what your doctor is using.
The other thing to consider is that, even if these things do work now, what will happen when you stop using them? If you haven't actually made changes in your "lifestyle", your normal appetite and metabolic rate are going to return, and you'll probably regain any weight you lose. Maybe the support group part of the program will help with making more permanent changes, so you don't have to rely on the injections.
Good luck!

Wanted to see if any of you guys have done these injections and if so, what were the results. I have reached a plateau, have done everything under the sun to continue to lose without any results. I went to a doctor on Friday, started the injections, and wow...the energy is great and I really feel motivated. I go three times a week, one B12 injection, 3 lipotropic injections as well as a prescribed apetite suppressant. It's expensive, about $52 per week for the injections alone. I had a friend that did this, and he looks great!!! Got to his ideal weight and has kept it off for over a year. What I like most about it is, the support group they have for discussions and motivation. Just curious if anyone else has tried this or know of anyone who has and what were the results. I'm going to try it for a month and see what happens.
