| Seriously this movie was so fun....I want to see it again in the theatre. I was a fan back in the day of transformers and had the original optimus(metal and everything!) my husband now has the anniversary optimus (luckly it's still looks the same) and I have transmutate from a later transformers series. I know this is a kind of old thread, but I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.

| I've never seen a movie in IMAX. I think the next time a big action movie comes out I'll splurge and see it in IMAX to see what it's like.

| I went to see it in IMAX and it was worth the 12 dollars that I ended up paying to see it there. I had my doubts about it but after seeing it I would not mind seeing it again.

| The movie was great and funnier than I expected. I didn't feel robbed after paying $9 for it unlike the way I feel after seeing most movies. Transformers is a must see.

| The action sequences were killer and I was highly entertained, but the product placement and shaky plot (sector 7 wasn't as well-developed as it should have been) took it down from "great" to "good" for me.

Just to add - I really do not like Michael Bay. His directing style makes my dizzy. He never seems to hold the camera still. While that works great for action movies like The Rock and Armageddon, when he had a shot at a good concept like The Island, the lack of ability to build drama with long shots and slower movements in the beginning really killed that movie.
That said, he did an incredible job with Transformers. As you can tell, I really didn't have very high expectations for this one, but in the beginning of the movie, he seemed to learn how to slow things down and built the drama and mystery that was needed for make the action at the end seem more frenetic.
Go see it. If nothing else you will be entertained. I was - and very surprised at the direction by Bay.

| My wife and I were pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to be yet another lame movie that my kids drag me to. Thought I would take a nap but it was actually really good.

| I'm going to see it tomorrow! I am so excited. You guys are definitely pumping me up. I can remember watch the cartoon in my youth and thought it was great. Don't remember it much now since I was so young when I watched it, but perhaps the movie will bring back memories. Transformers - More than meets the eye!!

| I wish my boys were old enough to want to see this movie. As it stands, I can't convince the missus to go see it just so I can relive part of my childhood (first toy I truly remember being fond of was "Hound" from generation one...he was a jeep.). Looks like Harry Potter will be the next film we see. (Already got tickets for the midnight showing. I suppose we'll see people dressed like they attend Hogwarts.)

| I may go to see it at the theater, or wait for the DVD... it looks like fun though

| I had also never seen the cartoons but was impressed with the movie. I didn't expect much from the story. I just wanted big awesome fighting robots, and the movie totally delivers.

| I never watched the TV show in any of its various incarnations, but I thought the movie was one of the best summer blockbusters I have seen in years. I took the kids on the Fourth and we all had a blast.

| Have any of you seen the movie. I thought it was one of the best movies in years. What did you think if you saw it. I am a fan of the originial Generation 1 tv series and i like how they tried to stay faithful to it.
