| I definitely understand the sympathy gains with the pregnant wife...i think i gained 20 with the first one and at least 20 with the second one...the problem is that at 10 at night we would eat bad stuff like nachos because she was craving them...it is tough when you love food.

| Yeah, that's one of the biggest reasons I wanna loose weight. With the baby on the way, I wanna be active so that I can run around, play football, and all of that with my kid without getting too winded. I mean, don't get me wrong, I can do all of that now, even being overweight, but I'm also only 20. My metabolism is gonna slow down, and from what I've seen of friends so will I. Sure I can run and all of that now at 20, but how about in 10 years when I'm 30 and my kid is 10. I figure If I get active now then I can keep it up so it'll help when I'm 30.

| welcome back! i had the same issue- with our first daughter, i gained about 40 pounds and with our second daughter, i gained another 20. if i would've had this program/site when we were pregnant, i would've done it differently. i've learned that children learn eating habits very young. it's so important to be in shape for the kids! i'm active with them, but would love to be more able to keep up with them! they are the main reason i've been as dedicated to my regimen as i have been.

| Welcome back. Look at it this way, you have a while until the end of the pregnancy, so you can use the time to make your choices in nutrition and exercise stick. When your child comes into the world, they'll have a fit dad to greet them.

| didn't have that problem...well not exactly. The wife got soo sick with our two that she lost 30# each kid. (Yikes!) I gained weight. My advice is snack healthy. Veggies, low fat, low cal...you know the stuff. It's not very fun I know, but it will benefit the baby and the both of you. just remember that the little one is a leach! It will get what it needs from mama even if it makes her sick. so give her healthy stuff and the baby gets healthy stuff. Annother added benefit is that you two will be in the right mindset for when the baby comes and she wants to drop the "baby weight". good luck...(you're going to need it!!!LOL)

So....I was on here for 4 or 5 months and I was doing really good. I was loosing weight, getting fit, feeling better about myself. Eventually I quit staying on it. I started dating this new girl, who I ended up Eloping with on January 5th, and we found out in march that she is pregnant (conceived Feb 14th ;) lol) and as she's gotten bigger, so have I! Am I the only person who has this problem? Are there any other guys who have also gained "pregnancy weight" lol
Any tips or pointers for someone on how to avoid putting on weight while having a pregnant wife who needs to eat every 3 hours or so? Thanks!
