Yesterday was my 55th b-day and the wife and I went out for Prime Rib and drinks around. I had a very good time with friends. No-one should have that much fun, no-one. Yes, I will have fun in Las Vegas and no, I will probably lose more weight than money, I am not a gambler. This trip I was going to walk around and look at new things. It has been 7 or 8 years since I last went, really this trip is to pease the dear wife, she has been good to me lately and very supportive with this diet. | The waves today were 11 feet high. We may not make it over there if it doesn't slow down on the winds. We will see. We don't go to Avalon like the tourist, but to Toyon Bay a camp for students. BooDaddy, Good Morning: I found that if I cut my calories down to, too little, I actually quit losing completely. When I started in Jan. 2007 I was eating about 1000 to 1200 cals. each day. At the end of Feb. and again two weeks ago I cut it even more to about 8 or 900 to 1000 each day and both times I quit losing weight, until I started eating a bit more. Once again I am back to eating 1100 to 1300 ea. day and I have started losing weight again. I am not sure if they were flat spots or if what they say is correct about eating enough to give your body energy to burn the fat. I am not positive but it appears to me that staying with-in their calorie range may would the best! Maybe! Good Morning, I hope you are doing well.

Adjusted the tension on the bike from 2 up to 4 for awhile. Feeling the burn in the legs, YEAH!

Watching TV sucks(too many commercals), I could swim, but the water is too cold, Paint-By-Numbers, done most of the pictures, walk the Malls, to expensive, read the daily papers(news) depressing, lately I have been building HO model builings for a kick, china cabinet is full of the darn things. I made pen and pencil sets for a while, after the 20th set it is boring. I could make soups, but then I eat too much, so I am looking for new things to do. I will be going to the doctor's tomorrow, I see what he says. Keep up your progress. I am off to peddle my bike. Jim

| I weighed myself yesterday morning and was at 189.4. I will see what it is tomorrow morning. Went to a 3 year olds birthday party and had a couple of hotdogs, cake, and ice cream. Only went over 45 cals today. Pretty impressed with that. Did eat a lot of tomatos at the last spring training game for the D-Backs. My wife and I are splitting weekend season tickets for the D-Backs with my principal and his wife. As for my spare time, a little bit of everything. Trying to reread the Harry Potter series before the last book comes out this summer. I am on book 3 with 3 more to go to get caught up before the last book. What do you like to do in your spare time?

| Try tracking your weight every couple of days. That is what I have been doing. My wife likes to look everyday. I am sure that all of our weights will go up and down especially during the day. I have heard of people weighing after a shower and weighing more or less. Strange how it goes so I wouldn't worry unless it is major up swings.

Have been doing fine. Much better on the cals this week. I have been having to get my report cards worked on this week for my 5th graders so I haven't done much on posting. Not sure on my weight, but will have to weigh the next few days. Glad to hear of you progress no matter how little the steps are. That is one step closer to your final goal.
I read the same article about the hybrids. I see their point, but look at the nickel that is being mined will be used for other things if they didn't use them for the hybrids.

| BooDaddy: How are you doing? I made some home-made vegatable beef soup today and had it for dinner. It was about 130 cals. per cup, I had two cups, and my calorie intake for the day is about 950 calories, later tonight I my have some popcorn to make my total at about 1000 calories total for the day. I don't know anything about dying trees, I do know that my Ford isn't killing my tree or plants, and then again I don't drive mine very much. The Ford Escape does cost a lot to buy new. I'm not sure if it is worth what I paid. I get about 25 to 28 mpg and not much better. It's alright, and it drives like a regular car.

I heard that refining the Nickel in a battery for a Toyota Prius actually does more damage to the environment than the good you do by driving hybrid.
There are smelting plants in Canada, processing plants in Europe and China...it sounds like a disaster. Around the plant in Canada all the forest has been killed off by acid rain.

So that now puts me at 126.50 miles towards 500 miles.

I was bad yesterday and didn't exercise. I did get a lot of grading and planning done for school. Bad part is that I have more planning and grading to do:(
Going to try and get a spring training game in today. It was sprinkling this morning. See if it keeps up.
