I too know about set backs and tough times. My wife has battled breast cancer, my son had hernia surgery at 4 weeks old, my daughter was born 7 weeks early.
I've learned that tough time won't last. Perserverance will see anyone through any situation.

Sorry to hear about all your setbacks Steve. I'm right there with ya on the severe sleep apnea. I have that myself. Thank goodness for a Bipap machine. Don't know what I would do without it. You can get all the support you need right here. Its here for the asking. I've started, stopped and started back myself 3 or 4 times. I'm on the right track now. You can do it too. Have a great day.

sounds like you had a tough year but are trying to make the best out of it. I'm happy to hear you're feeling better after losing a couple pounds. Definitely let us know if we can do anything to help along the way.

Hey Guys, I'm not sure that I really wanted to start a new thread but I did want to say I feel alot better than I did a couple of weeks ago. Just a few pounds and it really makes a difference! I know the first week (esp. for a male) is usually big (regarding pounds lost). This isn't my first start, I've been trying to do the SP program for more than a year. Don't let this discourage anyone! I've had a lot of "set backs" in the last two years: My Mom passed away last Feb., I was diagnosed with a huge herniated disc in my lower back, my sugar is off, I was recently diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, and to boot(!) I was laid-off last July! Well, nothing's perfect :) But having a place like this -- and it's FREE (I used to pay for it) -- means alot to me. If you've read all of this - Thank you! I hope with this community to reach my weight goals. Steve
