Welcome on Board,

I've only been on SP for a few weeks, but can definately see the value of it. I majored in Health in college and yet slowly allowed myself to get more and more out of shape. SparkPeople has provided me with practical, easy to use tools to help me reverse that.

My goal is in sight. I will not be deterred. Just let us know if there's any way we can help. In fact anyone in "The Guys Lounge" will be glad to pay your membership fee (It's free)

Welcome,

I started SP in Jan of 2006 and have lost 70 lbs so far. I'm looking to lose another 7 lbs and then maintain 174 lbs.

Sparkpeople really did change my life. I was on WW once and lost 39 lbs on it. the problem was once the 12 weeks of WW was over I was on my own and the "point system" was just too difficult to manage on my own. So I gain most of it back.

SP taught me how to live healthy and understand food. Sort of "teaching me to fish" sort of thing. I now know how to keep myself healthy.

Good luck to you. Definately use the website daily, weigh yourself regularly, eat breakfast every day, drink the 8 glasses of water, find a sparkbuddy to help you in your journey, track all your food, and think of this not as a diet, but as a lifestyle change.

We're all here for you.

Welcome WYNOSKI. This is a great place to come for your weightloss journey. I've been on SP since March of last year. I haven't done very well. But I decided its a New Year and I will succeed at making it to 200 pounds this year.

I can't wait until I make it to 40W. That is one of my goals. I would suggest you go to all the message boards you can. You'll get alot of support and read all the articles on the resource pages. Have a great day and a Happy New Year.

hello all...sorta new here. I have been using spark people non-regularly and my results show it. I am back with focus now and will be poting more...

A little about me...I was a weight watchers devotee and lost 77.5 pounds on that program (245 to 174.5), I ran a marathon, then stopped running, ate at training levels and put on 40 lbs. My wife is pregnant so my diet buddy has left the building...I am trying to lose and get back to my old goal weight. Basically, I am one size away from 40W pants, so that's it...back to the life I know I have to follow.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all
