Thanks, guys.

Willpower is certainly the biggest factor in this battle. I've spent so many years being totally food-focused (even to the point of choosing an entre in a restaurant by guessing how big it will be) that this is a huge issue.

THe biggest thing is definately will power. Some people may not understand that it is a lifestyle if in the past you would have dug right in. But convincing people that you are having a lifestyle change and not a diet is a big thing.

The way I handle(d) it was by being very open with people that I was changing my lifestyle, I wasn't on a diet. Most people think it's OK to cheat on a diet. But almost no one ever asks you to cheat on a lifestyle. It would be like someone asking a vegetarian to eat a burger "beacause a little meat won't hurt you".

Of course you still have to use your own will power to not eat the food. But having others know that you're not interested in the food can certainly help.

Hi, Guys!

Well, it's the time of year for parties. There will be TWO in my office next week alone!!! Any strategies for being good during this food-fest would be appreciated.

(One of the parties will apparently need FOUR CONFERENCE ROOMS to hold all the food)

Help!
