| I saw some of the highlights, the Panthers looked very good. The interior play was especially impressive. The Tigers have a challenge awaiting them at K-State tomorrow. The Wildcats are much improved under Huggins.

It is good that Anderson has already made some improvements over Snyder- otherwise Mizzou would be in for several long losing seasons. Hopefully they'll continue to improve. Pitt won last night and is 8-1 in the Big East. Cruising along, hopefully trouncing along a bit more (and getting some wins against teams that are supposed to be tough). The PAC 10 is starting to look a bit muddled with Arizona losing badly and UCLA being upset. That's the craziness of college b-ball!
|
|
|
|
| Mizzou looked as good as they have all season beating Knight's boys at Columbia yesterday. They seem to be buying into Anderson's system. If they play like the coach wants they could have some fun later in the year. Anderson has already made some significant improvements over what was seen under Snyder.

| After Arkansas beating Bama at home yesterday. I think they will probably give Florida a run for their money. I had to go to work before the end of the game and I felt a little better seeing the score 63-57. They were down by as much as 25 at one time. I sure do hope they get Rolling soon.

Oregon fell to Washington last night. Our ranking will probly be way down come Monday morning, they're 18-2 after the loss. They just were not the same team last night without Brooks at the point. He had to sit out last night as punishment for the incident last March with one of the Washington players. Gave him 6 stiches in the mouth. Saturday night we're up against WSU. Hopefully Brooks came carry us though. I hate to think we have to rely on one guy. Washington wasnt even ranked. Here's to getting back on track

| Yes, the Ducks stand a great chance in the PAC 10, but the real question is if anyone aside from UCLA and Washington St. will challenge them. As to the SEC, hopefully someone will challenge Florida and it would be great if the Razorbacks or Bama or someone could put up that challenge. So far, it looks like Florida is at the top by itself. As to Pitt, they came off their loss well but we'll see if they can actually pull some wins off against some tougher opponents.

| I started to get concerned when Alabama lost to Arkansas and Vanderbilt. This was a big win, a confidence builder. At least I hope so. Florida seems to be the big dog in basketball and football. I look for Arkansas to make some noise this year after beating Bama and LSU.

| Yeah, it can be amazing how teams can rally for a comeback win (or come up just short- like Pitt against Marquette). Bama could possibly do some things in the SEC but Florida is the really big dog in that conference right now.

| I guess thats what I get for turning off Alabama and Georgia's game to early yesterday. I was watching it when Alabama was losing by 10. I told my wife that it didn't look good for Alabama so I'm turning it. What a surprise I got last night when I got home from work and found out Bama won at the buzzer. That will teach me that next time I need to watch the whole game no matter what.

| Obviously, your Panthers are a favorite in the Big East. My ACC pick is North Carolina. Texas should take the Big 12 although KU (as much as I hate to admit it) will stay close. Wisconsin should edge out Ohio State for the Big 10 title. I don't know much about the SEC, so other than UK and LSU I am not sure who will take that conference. Of course, all of these picks are just my opinion. That and $2 should get you a cup of coffee.

Yeah, The Big East could have plenty of good matchups this year. So far, Pitt has taken all conference games they've taken on. The game against Oklahoma St. was a heartbreaker in OT, but the Wisconsin game was ugly! Who do you guys think will come out on top in the Big East? ACC? Big 12? Big 10? SEC?
|

|
|
| Mizzou played well enough to win at Lawrence last night, but they couldn't overcome Hannah's trip to the bench during crunch time. If they'd play this well against K-State on Saturday, they would have won by 20. Maybe this will serve as a wake up call for some of Anderson's boys. If they play the system, they can beat anybody. If they don't they can also lose to anybody as well.

I will assume that since two people are interested then everyone else is as well ;-).
So...when the time comes I will create a challenge at ESPN or somewhere and invite all of the Spark community to participate. Maybe someone can think of a creative way to work some fitness/diet goals into the contest or the reward.

| I only saw part of the game. He dominated the weak interior players of Missouri. He is a great player, but not the first to cause the Tigers problems in the interior. Mizzou doesn't do well in a half-court game. They are better suited for a full-court up and down type of game.

Didn't see the entire Missou/Texas game last night, but heard Kevin Durant had a nice game...
He's the top frosh in the country- by far in my opinion.

| I watched most of the Wisconsin/Ohio State game last night. As always I was impressed with how disciplined and fluid the Badgers play. I also watched some of the LSU/Alabama game too. The same thing cannot be said for LSU. There's some serious talent there, but you wouldn't have known it by watching the game. I will try to check out and see if the Tigers have improved tonight as the visit Texas.

WOW... i never expected the Badgers to control the game the way they did. It never seemed in doubt.
Marcus Landry stepped up big in the 2nd half on both ends.

It seems like the Badgers win all the big home games, so it's tough to bet against them.

I agree. Even with all the turmoil of last year for MU, you took one from KU.
I think with the addition of Coach Anderson and Coach Huggins at KSU, the Big 12 is going to be tough.

Being that I live in the Champaign, IL area I don't have to tell you that I bleed orange and blue. That was a terrific game last night. It was nice to see a heated contest between UI and MU because the atmosphere every year really calls for that.
I wouldn't exactly chalk up a loss against KU quite yet. I think that pressure defense will affect a team that has already shown they can crumble in critical times (albeit they are young).

| The Tigers played hard, but couldn't generate enough turnovers to get the win. Illinois did a good job of handling their pressure. Of course, this is a game we would have lost by twenty or more last year. This team is coming together. They just aren't real solid offensively.

I like Kevin Durant a little better than Oden, but that's probably because I've seen him play numerous times. He's so versatile...

I thought that Rick had a better team than what they showed last weekend. UK may surprise some folks as the season goes on. The Badgers are going to give some people headaches in the Big Ten.
As a Mizzou fan I am looking forward to tonight's game with Illinois. Both teams seem to be heading in the right direction. Missouri does not have a lot of individual talent, however they are actually playing good team defense under their new coach Mike Anderson. It should be a good game, and I think the Tigers might actually have a chance this year. That's something that I couldn't say over the past three years.

Pitt got it handed to them!!
Butch played out of his mind, and Tucker did what he always does in big games...
Louisville has a lot of work to do...
|
|
|
|
| The Pitt/Wisconsin game may more fun to watch than the UK/Louisville matchup. I am not sure that Tubby has the boys ready for the athletes that Pitino puts on the floor. Wisconsin will be a tough matchup for Pitt. As always they are well schooled in team defense and their players b-ball iq will be tough for the panthers to handle. It should be fun to watch since I don't really care who wins.

Unfortunately for us your team should have the upper hand in the games that you play against the Tigers. It will take more than one year to correct the trainwreck that have been the last six years under an ex-Dukey.
The team defense that the guys are playing may be a shock for your players since Mizzou hasn't been known for its team defense for a while.
This should be an exciting year in Lawrence.
