| I've done a little research, and here is some alcohol: the calorie content of alcoholic drinks is roughly 145 calories (12 fl oz beer), 75 calories (3.5 fl oz wine) and 65 calories (1 fl oz spirits).

| I think that there are no carbs in rum, not 0 calories. There is 125 calories in 1 shot of 100 proof rum.

| I have heard that Bacardi has zero calories and that it mixed with a diet coke is a guilt free way to drink. Anybody know anything about this?

| Stick with a low-carb, low calories beer like Michelob Ultra, a great taste and great for diets!!!

| I really love my good beer, so I'm definitely not going to stop enjoying my pleasures in life. Most nights, I'll have a beer -- that's just 4 points on the WW plan. But once you start having a few in a night, things start adding up fast ...

Hey Chris - I never used to be a great beer fan - but there's something about the tropics that makes the old amber nectar irresistable!! I'm coming to Manilla on Wednesday on busines ... any recommendations for a salubrious place to get a few coldies down my Gregory!

it all depends on quantity; and the specific liquor/beer you are drinking - and of course mixing with diet drinks make it better.

liquor still has calories...
but in my mind, it's a better option with beer when you mix it with Diet Coke...
is there an expert that can clear this up???

| I have been telling my wife that if I have bourbon (or liqour of choice) and diet coke instead of beer I am making a healthy choice. Is that true? It makes since in my head, but I am not sure. Let me know what you think.

| Problem with that is I have lost allot of physical ability to play sports. I cant run 5 steps without feeling like I need oxygen. Its really a shame how bad I let myself get.

why not change your current hangout (bars) to a sport activity (football/surfing/hiking), that way, if youre always phys. active, you wont want alcohol holding you back. or visit AA

| A few brews will not do you too much bad as long as you are excercising and watching what you eat!

Speaking of drinking, I went out last night with a couple of buddies and watched the football games. Needless to say that we had a few pitchers, I am feeling a little rough this morning. Tried to drink as much water as I could last night before I went to bed last night, trying and avoid as much of the hangover as could. That was the first time in a long time that I drank like that but definitely going to effect my preformance today. So good luck...moderation is the key to life!

| I cant seem to stop drinking it either. Going out with the guys after work or on weekends is the problem. I don't really drink at home. My real problem is dining out as well, If I can accomplish that then I might get somewhere.

I've been trying to cut back myself. To no avail. I usually have 2-3 beers or glasses of wine in the evenings. Can you believe that 3 beers is around 300 calories??? If it weren't for that, I'd probably have hit my goal 3 times by now. But I enjoy those few cocktails at night. Plus, we go to football games a lot, and we always tailgate there (which ends up being 6 hours of tailgating before they open the gates). I don't know....I've been thinking about that myself. Hmm...
