| I have only been a member of SP for 1 week today and I have found it to be the most engaging sources of nutritional, fitness, and motivational information. Tomorrow morning is my first weigh in, so wish me luck. I'm not looking for the quick way out, so I am truly just looking for a pound or two. Good luck to all.

| I always chalk the initial loss up to water retention. Seems like that is what I loose in the first couple of weeks. The big thing I have noticed with this type of lifestyle change is that I can't eat the way I used to. My body basically won't let me. If I go too far off course, it will make me sick. I guess that is part of the reason why I am so determined to do it this time!

| Welcome to SP. This is by far the best resource out there. Like everyone says, it is a lifestyle change, not a "diet." I feel better than I ever have and I am only 5 weeks in. Good luck and have fun!

| thanks losinit, I really like the system it keeps me involved. I get a good idea of how much i am really eating in a day and from there I am making adjustments. good luck to ya.

| This site is a great tool for lifestyle change, all you have to do is use it. Use the food tracker on all foods you eat, even when you cheat. This will give you the opportunity to cut back the next day to still meet your weekly goals
