Hi Losingit,
That's the spirit. Get straight back on the horse!
One thing I can promise you is that once you have lost a few kilo's and you can feel a bit of a difference in your clothes, maybe have to cinch the belt an extra hole - then it starts getting easier.
Good luck and keep us up to date with how you are doing.

| Hey I am a new guy here on sparke but I have been trying to lose for a while the one thing I have found that everyone here has echoed is that we are not perfect. We are going to want to eat what we like. The main thing is to ensure that we keep making an effort to work on our long term goal. If you are not happy you are not going to put forth your best foot forward. Just stay the course you can do it.

Losingit,
You know, setbacks happen. Hell, this whole last weekend was a setback for me. Take a setback, square your shoulders and try again. The fact that you're ticked about doing it, shows you're on the right track. We'd worry if you posted what you did and had the attitude of "Whatever". So, get back to it.

There isn't a single person here who hasn't blown our diets before, so we can all emphathize. So you made a bad choice. We all have. The next choice to face is whether to give up, or re-dedicate yourself to your goals. But take care to make your goals doable. Don't say "I have to lose 50 pounds." Say, "I want to lose 5 pounds this month." You didn't gain this weight overnight, don't expect to lose it overnight.
I love burgers too. So, I reward myself. If I stick to my plan all month and get my exercise in, then I treat myself at the end of the month.
Keep your chin up. Remember what Winston Churchill said, "If you're going through hell, keep going."

Make sure you are not suffering from anxiety ... as I kind of get the sense that you are. If you are .. it makes not eating difficult .. especially during high stress times. Also make sure you are getting 6 small meals throughout the day .. drink lots of H20 ...
Exercising will help with the anxiety ....
Today is a new day : ) and of course , every moment is a new moment ... so we all have chances to do better : )

the hardest part of any diet is controlling the foods you eat, it might not happen over night but just slowly start cutting down on the junk food that you eat.
It's ok to fall away from the plan every once in a while "reward" yourself, just don't give up on the plan.

| I wish I could offer some advice but I struggle with it myself - I think the problem for me is just not enough good food to snack on in my home - so I start eating and keep going until I'm full. If I have good food around I will eat itt, maybe try keeping good food around. . .

You could try stuffing your face with salad when you have your meals, and try to fill yourself up. I also like to drink loads of tomato juice+worcester sauce [I buy loads of the cheap tomato juice]. Just check the salt in it. Anyway tomato juice fills me up so I dont really want to eat - and I am a big eater!
This emoticon guy will kick your butt if you need it lol! -
hope this helps, Mick.

| Well I blew it big time last night. I got a bad craving at about 11:30 last night, and instead of going to the fridge and getting some fruit or something healthy, I went to Krystals and had myself some hamburgers and a large coke. I stepped on the scale this morning and I weigh 307 pounds. I've got to get this thing under control. I've started exercising again, but I just can't stop the eating. Need some motivation and a swift kick in the butt please. Hope you all have a great day.
