I've been keeping measurements on my own. It makes me want to kick myself for going off my diet. I look at my measurements now and what they were then. It makes me sick. But I'm not looking at the past. I'm starting where I'm at and moving forward from here. I take my measurements in my Neck, biceps, forearms, chest, stomach, thighs, and calfs. I total them all up to see what I've gained or lost.

Hey Paul!
Welcome to SP, it's a great place. I have always used the SP reports, including the measurements. I have definitely used the waist, hips, neck recommendations and noticed BIG differences. I measure my waist where I wear my pants, which is lower than my belly. Anyway...in my weight loss I saw the following changes:
Before Hips: 48" Neck: 18" Waist: 45"
After Hips: 40" Neck: 15" Waist: 34"
I wish I would ave taken more measurements such as arms and thighs, but I didn't. I DID notice my hands got smaller and my feet got smaller as well. So with major weight loss you'll notice weight loss in just about every area of your body.
Good luck!

Hey guys, I just signed up yesterday and have been playing with the various parts of the site. I got into the measurements tracking thing today, and couldn't help but notice that it's clearly targetted at a female body.
The waist measurement tells me to measure "at the smallest part of your stomach; you can typically measure right around your belly button." Clearly that's not true for a guy. And the second measurment is hips. Somehow, that just doesn't seem like an interesting spot for me to be measuring. I'd be pretty surprised to see it change much.
Are any of you other guys using this part of the site? If so, what and where are you measuring?
