Enter it manually - there is a link at the top of the screen, then it asks for calories and minutes - that's what I do.

when I enter in elliptical for 35 minutes it says I burned 500 cals. (when really it's only 342.7) how do I factor this in so it's correct?

you should vary your exercise as much as possible to keep your body challenged - it gets efficient at things it gets used too!

to work out calories, you need to divide KJs by 4.184 so you burned 342.7 calories.

Daily Calorie Req: 1200-1550

I use the elliptical at least once a day for 35 minutes (which gets me to 4 kms'). Lately I have been using it morning and night for a total of 8 km's (70 minutes.. but Im going to keep it to 35 minutes mostly).

I also do 30 minute strength training every other day.

- should I be switching up my exercises for exercise videos and elliptical? I don't want my body to get used to only doing elliptical.

-am I doing too much .. if there is such a thing. I don't want to burn out, but want to maintain an active metabolism (and get inshape).

Cardio Daily Totals/Daily Goal: 70/35
Calories Burned: 1008/284
Cardio Weekly Totals: 240 / 175
Weekly Goal: 3144 / 1420

Any advice is appreciated

___________________________________________________

I worked out tonight on the elliptical for 35 minutes which covers 4 km's.

I burn 1434 KJ

I work out Monday - Friday

How do I figure out how many calories I burn.

Once i figure this out how do I add it so my daily required calories is accurate.

Sorry for all the questions ... and thank you kindly for your time

Lisa
