Go to this website... you have to play around with the different stores to find which one works best for you. But that's how most of the people on here made virtual models. http://myvirtualmodel.com/en/go_shopping.htm

"When I was pregnant, mine rarely (if ever) would go out and get anything I was craving."
Maybe your DH was trying to do you a favor... ;)
Then again maybe he was just lazy and mean...
On topic, I like the idea of bringing a healthy snack along. Seems like it would work well.

What a nice hubby you are! When I was pregnant, mine rarely (if ever) would go out and get anything I was craving. Of course, it's those cravings that had us sliding back down the slope to bad eating habits...and now, here we both are.
I agree with eating something healthy before going out. The worst thing is any kind of "food shopping" when you're hungry. Putting the money saved in a jar to use for a non-food treat later is a great idea, too.
Good luck to you (and your wife!)!

Hello gentlemen - My name is Jennifer and I just wanted to stop by and issue an open invitation to any who may be interested to visit and check out a new group forum called "An Encouraging Word". Like many of us women, I believe men need encouragement as well. This forum focuses on spiritual enlightenment and positive thinking using God's word as we all embark on this road to a better lifestyle change. Please stop by, you'll be glad you did. God Bless!

Be aware that to do so you will be fighting two main problems with the process of getting healthy, which is what people really want when they say they are dieting.
1) hunger
I can help you get past hunger with a suggestion that you get PSYLLIUM, which is a non-food, all fiber, all natural material that expands on contact with water. You take a heaping tablespoon in a glass of water and it normally fills me up for the whole day. If I should get hungry I take another glass.
2)Motivaion. These bulletins are filled with people who have lost the will to succeed. They grasp at any excuse to get off track. I suggest you stay away from people like that like the plague. Instead I suggest you log in to SP each day and read and take credit for reading at least 5 motivational messages and also write a few messages to others telling them of how and why you are being a success. In so doing you will help them, but more you will help yourself!
You have to develop the mindset NOW! to keep going when the scale says you are flat or going the wrong way...and believe me it will happen. It will also train your mind so that in the future you do not gain back all the weight you worked so hard to lose.
Remember this slogan:
If you do what you always did you will get what you always got. That works both ways...in most cases it keeps people from being a success but for the motivated person it helps him/her to keep being successful.

The other option is to fix something for her that is healthy and you can have a bit too. First cook up some ground turkey that is flavored for tacos, then fix extra rice with dinner and when she wants a "Taco Hell Grilled Beef Flavored Fat Crunch Wrap" you can prepare a healthy taco for her and you can have a bowl of rice with salsa on it.
I have three new grandbabies on the way and the moms-to-be are eating everything they can and then some. One thing I noticed with them, is that only one is eating regularly and healthy and she is the one with the best attitude, well what you can call a "best attitude" from someone who is pregnant
Best of luck with your new baby, and may God be with you and your wife for a trouble free pregnancy and a healthy baby at the end.
P.S. After the baby is born, you will have a new partner in SP.

| When buying food for someone, and you feel left out, figure the amount of $$$ you didn't spend and put it in a jar. That's your cash to get a guy movie, save for sports tickets, or whatever like. Also, put a mark on the jar everytime you passed on getting a snack too, after about 5, then you deserve one. And definitely EAT raw carrots or peanuts before going to get food, and drink a Fresca or other non-calorie drink so you feel like you already ate. Just some thoughts...

I don't know if this idea is any good but you can try it-
when you go to the taco place, take a healthy snack with you, and eat it before, or after, you buy your wife's food. this way you know you can eat something too. you can also try chewing strong minty gum while buying the food. this usually works for me.
hope this has helped in some way - Mick.

okay.... My wife is 21 weeks pregnant (2nd X surrogate mother). The girl loves to eat!!!!!! I just quit smoking 31 days ago and counting. I have increased my workout to compensate any "smoking craving food binges". Which so far I have done good with.
I make several trips a week to Taco Hell for her at late night hours. It is becoming harder and harder to arrive back at the house without anything for me. I then wake up in the morning mad at myself and ride the bike an extra 3 or 4 miles out of frustration for what I had done. All day I do great and then I go home and it goes down the tube. I know this must seem simple for some but I just can't figure out what to do.
