Shes right building pecs up seems harder to do that say bi-cepts. I do lots of bench pressing and pushups and that has helped quite a bit but took a while and still not where I want to be.

Hey Ryan-
This could be a genetic thing. A friend of mine who is also a personal trainer has gynoclamastia, which is the development of breast tissue in men. His father and brother have it as well, and I think its mostly a hormonal thing that results from genetics, but can also be caused by steroid use. The only way to really get rid of it is through a surgery which removes the tissue. Visiting your doctor can properly diagnose you in this case, and determine if you have this condition or something else.
Another idea- were you overweight before and have lost weight? Some of it could be excess skin or a combination of skin & fat. Cardio of course is the only way to burn fat from any location on the body.
One last thing- building the pectoralis muscles into what you see in the magazines and on male models is not something that every guy can achieve. This is a tough muscle to really build out. Especially if you are not a muscular body type, building large pecs will be very difficult if not impossible for you. For example, ectomorphs have long/lean muscles that don't really get "big" while mesomorphs bulk up in size pretty easily.
Hope that helps! Nicole

I am not real big and find it very easy to lose weight when I try. But for some reason i can never get my pecs the way I want them. HONESTLY i dont have pecs its just fat. MY stomach will slim down easily but pecs never do what should i do?
