I just signed up to the site but I've been dieting for a few weeks now with really good success. I have had to change the foods that I eat but not necessarily the flavors I'm looking for. I used to survive on nothing but cheese burgers and one of my favorites was the "Dave's Favorite" from Famous Dave’s chain of restaurants. It was really the BBQ sauce more than anything else and when I found that they were selling it in the local grocery story I began to salivate on the spot. I bought a bottle, took some sliced turkey and I found some bread by "Nature's Own" that lets me have 2 slices for 100 calories and you can make your self a decent BBQ sandwich and keep it under 500 calories. Sometimes for variety I'll use less turkey and throw on some Luis Rich turkey bacon or add a slice of cheddar/swiss cheese. You just need to invent meals that fit your tastes, meet your nutritional needs, and you can change up enough that you don't end up eating the same thing every day.

You don't have to give up the foods you like just because you and girlfriend are on a diet just eat smaller portions of that food. Another way is to mix things up. Get that ole blender out of the cabinent and make some awesome smoothies and protein shakes. On this site they have great smoothie recipies. I even tried one myself and now Im hooked on strawberry banana smoothie. I don't use the OJ though its just fat free yogurt bananas and strawberries a great way to increase the amount of fruit you eat a day. Before I forget try dark leafy greens such as turnip, mustard, and collard greens. They are low in carolies moderate in cards but, awesome in the other things that your body really needs.

By the way good for you that you are doing this with you girlfriend and serve as her support. Because its always easier to lose weight when you have someone to do it with.
