Gents
I don't believe the problem with eating on vacation is necessarily due to the fact that one is constantly tempted. I found a few factors that made eating out difficult: 1.I cannot eat at Subway every meal 2.Alcohol screws up the ability to make good choices 3.Some "upscale" restaurants do not have any clear choice for healthy eating and recipes are nearly impossible to estimate.
For instance, I ate at Roys in Tampa(Roy Yamaguchi) last week. The food was incredible. However, I have no idea what I ate (aside from the best steak I've ever tasted).
I don't believe that an occasional indiscretion will make any real difference as long as a healthy average is maintained. This may be especially true on vacation since one tends to walk and be more physically active than at home. The moral of my story is that when on vacation, enjoy yourself.
