| I wonder how much of it has to do with the Quinine vs just having plain water. Dehydration is such a big part of cramping. I'll have to check into that! =)

I recently learned from a swimming coach that Tonic water with Quinine is a great preventative measure for cramps. I guess one could also take quinine tablets if you could find them.
This comes in handy when doing very intense and extended circuits. This has worked for me so far...if you are cramping even after sufficient stretching and warm-ups, you may want to give Quinine water a try.
