I NEED GUYS OPINION PLEASE!!!

Last night I had a big fight with my boyfrind because he is always jealous... and he doesn't want me talking to any guys... but then he turns around and talks to girls... Ghee!!! We almost broke up... today he hasn't texted me once... I think maybe he just doesn't love me... oh well...

I rode my bike for 90 minutes... burned over 1200 cals.... that night...

Woke up at 5:00 AM... and got back on the bike for 40 minutes before work... 600 cals...

I feel great... but at the same time I feel bad... any suggestions????

YEAH, I STUMBLED UPON THIS BOARD A WHILE AGO BUT NEVER REALLY GOT INTO IT. I DECIDED TO START DOING PUSHUPS ON A REGULAR BASIS, SO I CAME BACK TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. IF YOU WANT TO DO ANOTHER CHALLENGE, THAT'S COOL. I LIKE THE PUSHUPS, BUT MAYBE SOMETHING WITH LEGS, LIKE "BODYWEIGHT" SQUATS OR LUNGES OR SOEMTHING LIKE THAT. JUST A THOUGHT. I LIKE THE IDEA OF BEING ABLE TO DO THIS ANYTIME AND ANYWHERE, NO EQUIPMENT NEEDED.

It doean't matter where your numbers are in this challenge, 10 a day for this challenge is great, I started around there. Just 1 more pushup and crunch per day and you will be surprised how quick you'll start seeing results. Hang in there, and just show up every day!

Saw this challenge and figured I'd give it a try. Man, I can tell I haven't done any strength training in far too long.. 50 pushups and I was done. Only managed 60 crunches cause my abs hurt already from contracting during the pushups! Definitely going to have to work on it.

No pushups/crunches today, but I trudged up Tumamoc Hill with my sister... it's a 1.5-mile hike (each way) on a paved road, with about 750 ft. of elevation gain. A nice challenging walk, anyway. Took us 42 minutes to do the 3-mile roundtrip. Then came home and the gf was heading out for a run, so I joined her... She's just starting the couch-to-5k plan, so we did roughly 2 miles in 30 minutes. Great cardio day, overall!

I still find it difficult to find time during my workweek to fit in the pushups and crunches, and I feel wierd about finding a place at work to do them. However, at the end of the month, the company I work for is moving into a new building with a fitness center. I've decided that (at least on Sat/Sun of my workweek), whenever my co-worker comes back from his smoke breaks, I'll take MY "smoke break" and hit the fitness center quickly for a set of crunches and pushups. By the end of each day I should have managed 4 or 5 sets of each.

We'll see how that goes... I'm not even convinced that the fitness center will be done by the time we get in there. ;)

Hope y'all are having a good weekend!

Jeff--

Thanks! My biggest problem ends up being my work schedule. I can do great on my days off (Wed-Fri), since I can space the sets out over the course of the day. But my workweek (Sat-Tues) is really busy, and I typically only have a small window of opportunity in the evenings to try to fit in the crunches and pushups. In fact, I don't believe I've done any since Friday. Oops! But tonight I'll start again, and hopefully I won't have lost much ground.

I can definitely see improvements, and I think I'll manage to hit 100/500 sooner than I originally planned. Getting to 5 days per week will be the bigger challenge.

I love my cardio, but weight training has always been my dreaded activity. Thanks again to you and other folks on here for adding an element of fun and challenge to keep me motivated.

Hey Brian,
Glad to see you still making progress in your recovery.
I set up a new challenge for myself, 4 weekly goals for a month. 500 pushups, 2500 crunches and 30 miles on my bike. All these numbers to increase by 10% every week. I put it all on a spread sheet so I can see the progress. So far it looks like Im going to destroy my numbers the first week, so I might have to up the numbers. For now I will just see how it goes. Take Care.
