| Absolutely...I am not on a diet. That's a great point too- that if you are weighing yourself constantly it does rather imply that you are dieting doesn't it!? I agree - and just don't get it when people weigh themselves four or five + times a week! Once a week at most is sufficient and I do it once a month.

| besides if you dont get on the scale everydaay then the times that you do you are more likely to be pleasantly surprised. I also think that looking at the scale all the time makes it feel like Im on a "diet", when really its not. I gage my success in the habits im forming. Besides everyone is on a "diet". The word by definition only means what we eat. Does that make sense.

| I hear ya! I am not sure if it is fear keeping me away from the scales or if it is that I don't want to be dependent on them for my lifestyle change, or a little bit of both. I'd rather just know my body and adjust accordingly.

| by the time I found sp I was very ready to make some changes. I complained the other day about being stuck at 230lbs and this morning I was 229 so go figure. Like you I try not to weigh everyday.

| Yeah, I joined on December 01/05. I didn't take it seriously though, until mid January. I really started out slowly learning about the program, and then started with tracking calories but not changing what I ate. Then, I started dabbling in the modifacations/portion control to see if I could lose weight. I promised myself to only weigh myself once a month so really March will dictate what I eat in April - as did January determine what I ate in Feb. So far I think it's working but I will know more at the end of the month. I did lose 5 pounds in Feb. That was good!

| you can go back and do it when you want...I've changed mine before after the date has passed. Try that.

|
| When I'm on the 3-11 shift I have to remember to put in my stuff for the day before work, by the time I get home after 11 pm the day has changed over.

Unfortunately there is no such option right now. It has been requested enough that some day we may see that feature. It took me a little to get used to it but now I don't even think twice.

| After 9pm Oregon time Sparkpeople changes dates. Its a hassle because often I havent finished posting food or exercise for the day. If you dont relize it then you need to remove items and re-enter your data. Is therre a setting for me to change?
