Same here. We received a flyer in the mail about last years model close out. I think we spent $1800 on the king size, digital monitor, pillow top, and that included a $500 base (not worth it). If you have a waterbed base or what a friend of mine did was by a sheet of plywood and put it on some regular box springs and he says that works fine.

Yeah - I would like to investigate the bed and its associated cost. I have had back aches from my so-called comfort sleeper.

And any exercise helps.

Can you give me a ballpark on the cost? I'm sure I can find it somewhere, but ahven't started looking yet.

We have had the sleep number a week now and its worth every penny! This sounds like a commercial but I and my wife has had back pain every morning for years. Some mornings she could barely walk. My big thing was my hips would hurt. My pain went away immediately and hers was significantly less the next day and by the third day she has had no pain. What a wonderful investment!

i will agree with her on that one...it is a pain to find sheets anywhere for it. we actually had to special order a couple sets.

My wife doesn't like the cali's as they are a pain to buy sheets for (according to her ;) ). So we have a bed that my toes hang off of every night. Oh well, you get used to it. Thanks

because i am taller, so i wanted those extra few inches added to the end of the bed.

why'd you go with cali king vs. regular king?

i have a california king sleep number and love it! she can control her side, and i have mine. i would recommend it to anyone. especially if you have back problems or anything like that, because you can control the stiffness of the bed for your back.
great buy!

There's no question you burn calories with these activities. Keep in mind, however, that to be considered cardio you need to elevate your heart rate, hence the term "Cardio". There are many topics around SP about what counts as cardio calories. It can be great to calculate these calories burned, but make sure they don't replace true cardio exercises.

Keep up the great work!

You absolutely can use this activity. Use this handy weblink below....you find the activity, (over 70 of them) enter how many minutes and your weight and it will calculate it for you. Come back to spark enter it as manually entering your own. It's a great site.

When I get to work in the morning I haul my laptop from the far end of the parking lot which takes a couple of minutes to get to the back door. Then I take the stairs to the second floor up to my cubicle where I try to catch my breath before someone asks if I just ran a marathon. In all, I spend about 5 minutes going from my truck to my cube and I do it at a fairly good walk. Can I put that down as 5 minutes of exercise?

Also, I bought a sleepnumber bed that came in last night. Between hauling the boxes and putting together the base and bed I spent maybe 2 hours time. Can I put down about 20 minutes of exercise for that?

This sounds pretty cheesy I know to want to record these things but I didn't have time to do my exercises afterwards.
