| UConn always seems to find the quick athletic guards who mix well with the 8 - 6'9+ big men. I think they will be the favorites.
|
|
|
|
| I caught the UConn/Nova game this past weekend. UConn looks ready to make a run - a good point guard, a guy that can shoot the lights out, and then so many 6'10" guys you can't even keep track of them!

| i think the SEC will struggle in the tourney. florida seems to be up and down, as well as kentucky. but any of the top 3 teams could surprise anyone in the tourney. lots of parity in college basketball this year...which makes it fun to watch and very interesting.

I agree Healthyatc, that anyone can win it. We all have our down days. If Duke stays up, think they will win it. I am SEC to the bone. Would love to see Gators or Wildcats take it but.......
GO VOLS

answer me this: where would you place a team that has an RPI of 9 S.O.S of 24 record of 20-7 #1 in the conference beat #6 Illinois, #7 at Kentucky, #11 Indiana, #16 Ohio State, #16 Michigan State, #20 Michigan, #21 at Indiana, #21 NC State 4 of the 7 losses vs ranked teams all 7 losses on the road and when they split during a week they drop 4 spots, when michigan state and illinois split they move up in the polls, but are still behind this team in the league standings. interesting approach taken by the pollsters...

I'm ready too, March Madness is the best! Let's get a little poll going - who do you guys like to win the tourney?
I think Duke is my pick!

JEREMYM--
You're exactly right, it doesn't matter how UNC or Duke are ranked, you know it's going to be an awesome game.
Can't wait for March, I'm ready to fill out my brackets!

I am a blue-blooded Kansas Jayhawk. So I am a little familiar with Roy Williams. I felt a little spurned when he left us, and I admit it stung a little when he won the title last year after taking KU to the Final Four four times and coming up empty...but he is an awesome coach and I wish him the best. Besides, Duke is evil, so I'm glad he's made UNC competetive again.
March is my favorite time of the sporting year...can't wait.

I'm from NC so college basketball is HUGE here. I have to say that I've been a UNC Tarheel fan my whole life practically. Roy Williams is an awesome coach!
(I've enjoyed seeing them play this season even though it's almost an entirely different team, and a young one at that.)

| Jeff...your Buckeyes should have a great next couple of years with Greg and the recruiting class they are brining in. Motta has been the perfect man for the program there.

| Go Orangemen!! (Syracuse)

First off congrats on knocking off Indiana. For my favorite, I will have to go with the Ohio State Buckeyes. Thad Motta has got that team turned around. When they are hitting the threes and can keep Dials out of foul trouble they are hard to beat. The recruiting class for next year looks real good. (Providing no new further sanctions from the NCAA)

Who is your favorite college basketball team?
I have to say it's the Iowa Basketball team. I am a born and raised Hawkeye, they have much of my fortunes. They just came off a big win today AT Indiana. Alford's old stompin' grounds...
